Not the character I was looking forward to, since I've been waiting for nearly a year and a half for Lee 8, but *WOW!* She's absolutely stunning, and everything that comes with her! This is extremely high quality work!

    Don't have the budget for her at the moment, but this is probably my favorite Mei Lin of the three they've introduced.

    Well blow me down, Mei Lin lives. And interestingly one of the few 8 characters that actually look a bit younger than their 7 counterpart. That's got to be like the first one to do that.

    There's a ton of deals around her too. The tried and true offer of gen 6 and 7 pro bundles is there, plus the $1.59 items (many of which are steals at that price), the $2.59 items, and 10 free items on top of that. So some people are going to be making out really well today.

    Just an observation about the 10 free items: you need to have exactly 10 of them in the cart (with the Pro bundle) for them to show as free.

    If the main deal lasts as long as it did with Vladimir (my guess is that it will), then the 10 free items etc will last at least 3 days. I remember the Vladimir deal saying today only, but in fact the same deal ran for longer than that.

    Yes, a dforce kimono is really nice. I would like to have seen a Rarestone character in there, but the ones available today look pretty good.

    I do like Mei Lin 8, but I believe the kimono is in need of more layers, in particular the juben, or underslip. No Japanese lady would be seen like this:

    Still, it looks nice, and I can probably add something to cover the legs.

    Seems Mei Lin 8 is not really as well-crafted than Mei Lin 7..
    I mean, BASE vs BASE (not pro).

    Also, perhaps promos renders are made like Mei Lin 7 ..

    But.. well..

    I like her a lot. The bundle items are good. I'd use most of them.

    I've bought a number of figures  just for the extras and deals they come with (and will never use the figure), but this one goes the other way. I like the figure but the deal is no good for me. Sure, I can pick out ten items for free, but of what's available, there's almost nothing I'll use. Nothing at all for me in the two pay categories, either. Meh.

    Overall, not a great deal for those of us who have purchased both previous versions. What do we get for loyalty? A 20% off a gift card deal. There is also no extra incentive to purchase add-ons, which is surprising. I usually buy most (if not all) of the related figures. Not today. I’ll just wish list most and get them at a later date when Incan get them in a better sale.

    As for Mei Lin herself, I’m not as overjoyed as I wanted to be. I think some of the Asian women previously released for G8F have looked better. I was hoping DAZ would step up their game with her.

    Yep, and in order to take advantqage we have to put out more cash instead of being able to use the store credit we already purchased. Grrr!

    The figure is lovely.  The sale terms not so much.  I don’t use gift cards so that sale option is useless for me.  I might be able to find ten items I could use in the selection of “free stuff” but it looks like the same selection of items the gave away with one of the last pro bundles -minus the items I chose then of course. Really not sure what I am going to do here.  May just grab the base figure , one of the hair products and the HD morph.

    Love the Pro Bundle but meh about the gift card - would have rather had it applied to the price of the bundle. Going to spend some time looking through the free/discounted items to see what's available, but a definite purchase for me.

    Can anyone comment if the 10 free items worked for them when they added less then 10 items?

    I just selected 4 of the free selection that I found interesting and they all show at full price in cart.

    1.59 and 2.59$ items are working though.

    You need to put EXACTLY 10 for it to work.

    me too .. i clicked on each pro bundle that was free..i have them both. AHA! a banner ... 20% off a gift card?? that's no incentive, gift , or even a nice gesture to buy a giftcard ... just spend. But we such good spenders they figure it is a way to save 20% in the future, but the present is where the cash is needed. the discount. It wouldnt be too bad if you could turn that gift card around to buy the pro bundle though.
