I loved every itteration of Mei Lin, she's my favorite realistic base. I've been playing with Yuri and I love the way her skin reacts to light!

  • Wow, Seeker273, these look incredible! I wasn't too keen on Yuri from the item page, but she's now in my cart!

Thanks Benniewoodell. Mei Lin always brings out the best in skins I think. I was actually starting to fear that Daz wouldn't release another version.

This is a beautiful render. I love the pose, expression, lighting, everything about it except something that is not your fault—the skin on the nose and mouth do not seem like they belong to an Asian person. The pores are too large and it looks like hair has been waxed or shaved on the upper lip (I’m zooming in on my iPad.) I’m thinking the original resources did not come from an Asian model because they usually have finer pores and less hair on their skin, especially a girl that young... I could be wrong, but the skin looks like it’s from someone of a different ethnicity... That said, with a little postwork touch up, this would be a bit more realistic if one is to get picky...

Yes I know.  She has at least 2 and I pointed out I would keep the other one.  the one directly under the eye is distracting and one reason why cosmetic surgeons make millions a year changing people.  With a paint program its a simple click or two and its gone.   i dont mind blemishes but lately people seem to be over doing it in and attempt to make a less perfect texture for realims sake.  I've seen several women with near perfect facial skin other than slight variations in color.  Adding black dots to make it real should be an option not included on the base texture IMHO.  An alternate texture or LIE add on would be welcome.

I agree that blemishes like moles should be optional, never mandatory on a skin.

Maybe its because I live in a country without much sun, but no-one I know has a mole on their face. So seeing it in 3d models can be very distracting.

It gives me the urge to tell the 3d model to get it checked out by a doctor in case its dangerous.

Apart from that urge, the images look really great.

I agree it is a lovely render. I also think  Wonderland is correct and it looks like the skin was shaved in close up of the under the nose area. It's pretty easy to fix the too recognizable mole pattern and the shaved hair nubs in photoshop- but that seems like something you should not have to do with a base figure. Maybe daz could think about putting the moles and such on a seperate layer to add in LIE or not in the future.

  • I know I am necroing the absolute hell out of this. But, I couldn't help to notice the new features... Better bending AND muscle contraction on a figure. Does anyone know if these are added to the base G8F figure or only if I load her as a character? I do not want to have to waste the money buying her if those features are exclusive to only her (unless I can outright scrub her to zeroed morphs. I never actually loaded a character and usually use their associated morphs, so I do not know right off the bat).
