...I'm going to have to look at that tomorrow when I'm more wide awake. Just reading through the part about transferring Genesis Classic morphs to G2F makes my brain hurt right now. Don't want to do something wrong and bugger the whole lot up.

Did that saving an asset change to Genesis once which caused it to always load in as Teen Julie.

One more silly question, What if the original Genesis figure already has Vicky/Steph4 morphs imported in via GenX?

Unfortunately I can't speak to that as I don't own GenX. You could try asking in Kattey's thread.

On an unrelated note, here's a tutorial on adjusting an outfit (in this case, the V4 Historical Armor) after it has been AutoFit to Genesis. Just found this so I haven't tried it myself yet.

Another thing that can improve on AutoFit results is the Sickle Rigging and Morphing System. If you have a lot of V4 and/or M4 clothing that you'd like to use on Genesis, you will find this tool invaluable. It also comes in handy when you're using Genesis clothing that doesn't fit quite right (breast cling, etc.). Be aware, though, that it's not a one-click solution...it takes some effort...but fortunately it comes with a manual that walks you through it. More information on SRMS is available here.

Welcome to the party, everyone! :)
@scal.64.ps: Kattey has some instructions on making a G2F clone here: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/viewreply/357032/

(Here's a link to the beginning of that thread, which also contains some information on getting Genesis morphs converted to G2F, and other good stuff)

Thanks, Kattey, for figuring that stuff out, and for posting the instructions!

    You are welcome :)

I love Genesis because it is most useful figure to create characters I want. It takes most of texture UVs and clothes, including Generation 3 clothes (and Gen 3 textures via Texture Converter 2), it is much easier to develop for (clothes and morphs), it gives me a better variety than I'm yet to see in any older _or_ newer figure. It gives me the fullest possible range and is as close to digital clay as it can get currently.

I couldn't of imagined trying to do this with the Gen 4 figures, there's a lot of dial spinning but that is all.

    Wow. That's awesome.

I might have some use for Nezumi for our L5R game, so, if you don't mind sharing, what dials did you spin?

    Thank you

There were a lot and several morph sets used, some brought over by GenX.
I don't have time to do it now but I will try and get you screen shots of the dials probably at the weekend.
Raw also said he was doing a Rodent at some point.
The hair/fur was done in Garibaldi.

I was reluctant to try Genesis at first, but before I bought any morphs, I tried to do something I'd been struggling to do with V4 for months -- a muscular, 250-pound, 6-foot female. In half an hour, using only included and free morphs (and there were only a few freebies for Genesis back then), I got something that looked better than anything I could do with V4. After that I was sold.

Do you have a V4 or M4 texture with eyebrows that just won't apply to Genesis? Here's how to get them to work with the Genesis figure...thanks to Vaskania for figuring it out and posting the steps involved. When I tried to follow DS kept crashing on me, but I worked out an alternate method that incorporates RAMWolff's instructions on converting prop hair to a conforming figure (also worth checking out!). You can find my post about it a few posts down from the top.

Thanks for sharing those, bobvan. And scorpio64dragon, I believe I said as much in another thread, but in case I didn't...I love your rats!

Here are some more things you can do with the Gabriel Hair product:

    1. After converting the brows to a figure (see previous post), I stuck them on V5 (with the Bree no brows texture option). As you can see it's not perfect (the skin around the eyebrows looks too pale), but some adjustment on the Surfaces tab should improve things.

    2. Alternatively, you could use the browless texture, and make some brows with Look At My Hair or Garibaldi, or apply the Hitomi or H5 anime eyebrows, etc.

KickAir8P has a list of browless textures here.

I love that I can create creatures like the ones below with spinning the different morph dials and then dress them in any clothing I have for genesis and any skin textures for genesis as well.

Scott thanks for the link on how to attached eyebrows I somehow missed that thread.

*wanders in with a tray full of drinks*

Hello, everyone! As some of you might know, I am a HUGE fan of Genesis! I won't speak ill of other figures, to each their own, but Genesis 1 is my favorite! I was able to take a RPG character of mine, tweak dials, and then use the same sets to do a genderswap (plus some tweaks) to create a brother to her! So friggin' cool!

And monsters, oh gods the monsters! Do check my dA galleries for samples!

Thanks Scott very good details on those. My whole 3D concept revolves around and old sci fi series Land Of The Giants this is one the main characters that I face genned using the added plug in that allows to create target morphs on Genesis. Which alo gives an endless possibility of creating original characters http://bobvan.deviantart.com/art/LOTG-Home-23-304409891

Nice pic. Is that actually taken from inside one of the Dystopia City Blocks buildings?

Just noticed that RAMWolff has released his "Ultimate Morph Pack for Genesis 01." (and it's free!)

Includes his female morphs that were previously released, and the Genesis version of the Bruno character he made for V4, and a bunch of other good stuff...I can't wait to try it out. Thanks, Richard! :-)

You can read all about it here, and go download it here.

    Thanks Scott.

Keep in mind to read the first post from the first post in my Freebie thread or the side panel at my ShareCG page for info on how to make sure you've gotten rid of my older Genesis morphs if you were an early adopter. The newer morphs are updated and refined ALLOT but retain the same basic shapes. The morphs are color coded (which doesn't come in handy for some of the categories but for some others it's saves nerves scrolling through). Total morphs are 267 and well worth checking out. Could have charged for them but thought it would be a really nice gift to the community for all the help and good times here and at the older (better) forums! lol

    Enjoy!

    Richard

Another option that you are not aware of yet, because the product is soon to be released, is my Toon Girls Skin Pack, which comes with eyebrows and makeup options that use Layered Image Editor. There are 5 colors of realistic brows and 5 of toon brows. They use the V5 uv set, so if you don't have V5 it won't help, unless you know how to manipulate the LIE. You can load the brows then open LIE and align them to V4, A5, whomever. Keep your eyes open for the release.

Just as a general question for everyone, if I were to make video tutorials for some topic, how do you feel about audio? Personally, I prefer a tutorial with audio commentary, not a blast of music that is not my taste, accompanied by captions that I don't want to read. However, I know some people might prefer captions so they can pause the video and read what to do. I think that using both captions and audio might be a bit much, but I would like to hear what the majority prefers.

Both but caption after each sentence you think needs one is how I do best when learning and using video tutorials.
