How about Hammer?  Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing and the gang can star in my horror movie anytime.

You need to see Tobe Hooper's Lifeforce. The British cut. Tobe Hooper said he wanted to make a Hammer film with a big budget!

I hope parallel discussions are OK.

Ha anyone tried Pepakura? Here's a link to a quick overview of its use:  https://www.instructables.com/id/What-is-Pepakura-and-how-to-start/

The program takes your mesh model and unfolds it so that it can be printed, cut out and made into a 3d cardboard model.

What I'm also wondering is how those (Brother?) craft printers work.  Could prints from Pepakura be automatically cut out by those machines?

Sorry if this is gobbeldy-gook.  Do I get a biscuit?

guy I used to with with (bosses son who did sfa) used to spend all day at work making helmets and stuff with pepakura - then put platsre on them etc

looked not bad but fiddley and lots of paper folding and gluing

I was going to make a rabbiit for a sculpture (with movingbits etc)  with it but you would have to be very patient

you can use any obj but in most cases eg noggins rabbit would need to be decimated pretty massively

Ahh, Count Duckula! Voiced by Sir David Jason, who also did Danger Mouse. Classic! (Duckula was also a spinoff from Danger Mouse)

Two kitties. The one curled up in back is Xander, and the monstrously large, smokey grey kittie is Ghost.

Yup.  In a similar vein, "House On Haunted Hill"  is an old fave.

I don't think it's the clown so much as being hemmed in a small dark space (a mine shaft, sewer tunnel, etc) with something in there with you - kind of like the frightening moment when the spaceman turns and shines his light on the Alien right next to him in the airshaft.

Yes, that does sound like a good plan for a short horror video.  If you go for comedy/horror, the alien's next line is critical (especailly if the alien has not talked).  One idea (from the original Toy Story):  "This is no time to panic".

A cavern. In the middle, a caldron boiling. Thunder.
    Enter the three witches.

    Double, double, toil and trouble;
    Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.

Hey Selina, take care, it's been a joy having you and a great sadness losing you.

    Don't be gone too long.

    You've been a shining light.

Just to let you all know...

Tomorrow, 30 September 2018 will be my last day for active participation in the forum. Starting 1 October 2018 I shall fall silent as I'm going to be far too occupied. I've enjoyed my small excursion into Carrara and wish all it's advocates every success.

To those who've kindly encouraged me I give my deepest appreciation and thanks, to those who've posted fabulous pieces of art I urge them to continue in their quest and to those who're starting out I say, "Don't be afraid to ask the dumb questions, you may be surprised to find the help you need above and beyond your expectations."

    Selina

Will miss you... we have so few women Carrarians on here and you create some amazing art!!  Good luck and come back to visit and read. That's about all I can do now myself.  Am kept so busy now with granddaughter minding in the week, then when there is time, I am trapped in this ice-age gorge in the East Midlands.
