Brute 8 looks good. But I still haven't used the Freak, in all his various versions, or whatever big guys came afterward.

Oh, and apparently the product is defective. i'll wait a few months and see if it's finally ready for Prime Time.

Ok guys, finally had time to repack this

This is NOT an official DAZ supported addon. This is a free addon made by me, and DAZ had nothing to do with it. So if it acts wonky or causes you trouble you should message me and dont bug DAZ customer support. Ok? okay :)

    https://sharecg.com/v/92312/view/21/DAZ-Studio/Added-Morphs-for-G8M-Lumberjack-Shirt

What you get: this will add some morphs to your lumberjack shirt, and a wearable preset for the shirt (shirt 2) with the overlap switched and the buttons moved out.

New Morphs: Overlap Adjustment, Untuck, Open, Drape, No Pockets

The open morph acts a little weird  in DS .. I think its the smoothing mode acting up. Its main purpose tis to make dforce draping easier, so I didnt worry about it.  Dforce is NOT set up, but theres nothing tricky to this one. Just slap it on the shirt and simulate.  The suspenders however will come apart, dont try it *lol*

It has not been exhaustively tested, and may have weirdness in some poses or morphs, etc etc.  Its free, okay? lol  But at least the buttons are the other way round, and you have a couple other options.

    LM

    Thank you! heart

It’s great that there is a third party solution and thanks for making it but disappointing the store will not provide an update so that future buyers can get it as well.

Yes, thank you very much. This expands possibilities considerably.

The Brute is defective? Or are you referring to the Lumberjack? I've had no problem with any of the Brute products thus far (I don't have the lumberjack outfit installed since I don't plan on using it any time soon). But I'll probably go ahead and get Lyrra's adjustments just in case, so yeah, thank you very, very much Lyrra and Vincent.

The Brute is not defective. The lumberjack shirt had the buttons on the wrong side, which is something Lyrra gracefully corrected.

  • But Lyrra said it was not an official fix.

Gotcha, Ron. I misunderstood was all. I was backtracking thinking I missed something about a fix for the Brute base. ;)

Brute 8 and his "gear" look great. I'm glad so many people like him. I must, however, resist the temptation. I will need to save my money to deal with some pressing family-related events. I will not derail this thread with any further details. I wish you all the best.

Does anyone know how well "Mr. Rubble" and "Rampage" work without owning Brute 8? I own enough hair and clothing similar to what's in the pro bundle, that even though it is a great bundle, I'd rather just skip it and pick up the 2 character add-ons I know I'd use. Brute himself I'm not sure I'd use, so I'm also trying to save money since I've bought a lot of the g8m products that have come out this month.

I only have Mr Rubble & not Rampage & here is what Mr Rubble looks like with both Brute 8 & without Brute 8. I my opinion you could scale Mr Rubble & apply the muscularity / husky morphs if you own the DAZ Originals Genesis 8 Male Body Morphs and get a reasonable similar Mr Rubble. And if you ever had Brute 8 well you could make different types of Mr Rubbles using different body type morphs and head morphs.

I think with the right set of shaders Mr Rubble would make a good race of Groot-like Ents.

(sorry, apparently the forum doesn't like pngs although I though it could take them)

I did a trial of Mr Rubble without Brute 8 for someone in another thread - I posted my results here: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/3976561/#Comment_3976561

I have one of MR. Rubble, too, without Brute 8. I dialed in some of the Daz body morphs. It wasn't an attempt to dupicate the look with Brute, it was just to beef him up a bit.

  • Short of some writing in the render, could you just flip the render from right to left in post to "fix" the shirt? Or am I missing something?

It can work in some cases, but leaving aside text or things that would be wrong inverted, I´d cringe if I had to flip a render. It would make me uncomfortable.

Hey, thanks again to those who responded to my questions. I picked up Rampage and Mr. Rubble this morning. Here's a quick picture I got to render so far. I'm using Mr. Rubble figure with some other head morphs to give him pointy ears and more anime style eye shape with Luca at 60% head dialed in and Rampage green skin texture on the rock morph looks okay. I'm going to play around somoe more to creat fanart of The Thing from Fantastic Four.
