Oh. My. Gosh. These PAs are killing me. I decided to skip Genesis 8 for budget reasons but RawArt's Tor for Genesis 8 Male is incredible.
I just may have to make an exception for this one.
No newsletter here either. 2nd day in a row. :-(
This sale has saved me more money at DAZ than any other DAZ sale since I got into this hobby. Of course, I've also bought waaaaay less than any other previous sale.
I'm over the higher prices on everything, including the back catalog, lack of stacking and less severe discounts, and hard focus on G8 characters and items.
I usually check in once a day and discover there isn't anything worth checking back for.
I've had a $200 credit from the gift card discount from 3 gift card discounts ago. The Flashgrabs offer better discounts than the PA sale frequently.
There is always another sale. I am excited for the Premier Artist Sale to end so that we can move on to the next one.
Some dinosaurs were included in the fantasy related items. Not really a part of fantasy but wish they added more...
Today’s newsletter just surfaced.
I've found several things worth purchasing, actually. They've offered some really neat things during the sale, the $90 off (and for people who don't own a lot of stuff, that was a gold mine of things to choose from), 70% off other items, and a nice variety in the daily new items. Just today, the Lilikh Outfit is a DO and as a new item, it was 68% (IIRC) off and $7.86 . For a new clothing item, and such great detail, I have no complaints about the pricing on that. Edit- but I can see why the emphasis on G8 would be annoying- so it's good when they offer G3/G8.
Yepp... flashgrads took some money out of my purse, but the other sales weren't really that interesting.
I got tempted with the $ 90.- off offer with the Brute, but when I checked those items in that sale, I saw that there was about nothing I would need for my projects, so I was able to resist that offer easily.
Other than You, I expect the next sale to be about the same as this sale... some people really getting hyped and me just sitting there wondering why I should spend my money on it...
I really appreciate that there are many days where nothing appeals to me at all. I can no longer afford to get excited about the new products and deals every single day!
In fact, I tend to get more excited for the Flash Sales. I'd keep a lot more of my money if Daz would forego the Flash Sales…!

I think Daz is shooting itself in the foot when it doesn’t show an end time to flash sales. I was so worried about it ending that I quickly checked out, but if I knew I had some time, I would have looked over more of the products and probably purchased more. I know it’s still going but I don’t want to get another debut release to take advantage of it when I already checked out with two...
ETA Well, I guess any new item works, not just Debut ones, so looks like they may get more of my money...

Martin J Frost has a new release in today's promo, but he's not included in the Featured Artist Catalogs… Is that intentional?
It is a Daz Original, but they do usually still get included so I have asked.
The $90 off deal was the same for me. The buy in on the Brute was steep, too. If it is a deal like that, I don't really want or like the buy in, but the buy in is cheap, that is one thing.
But in this case, the buy in was expensive, I didn't really want it, and the free incentives were not anything I had to have - and a lot of those items I've seen heavily discounted in the past - so it wasn't REALLY $90 worth of free stuff. With usual discounts, it was more like $30-$50 worth of free stuff.
Which is another thing they've been doing. Jacking the base prices WAY up, then offering big discounts on them, if you buy a bunch of expensive G8 stuff to get the discounts.
That kind of bundling isn't doing it for me.
I agree with maikdecker - I am afraid this is going to be the new normal for sales - and it has been for the last several - but EVENTUALLY those other sales had one or two good days, or a day of serious glitches I caught. This one hasn't had anything to create that kind of excitement, and hardly any stacking at all.

i'm seeing discounts in the stores of other PAs who have still-new daz originals releases.

They just pulled the Princess Bedroom. It was 404 a minute ago, now it's gone.
That kind of takes the wind out of the sails for the Little Princess promo theme.

Yeah, I was looking at those promos and going, "Those don't look like 3D rendered characters, those look like actual PEOPLE. Where can you get those outfits, hairstyles and characters?"
They accidently released Genesis 9 a year too soon ;)
It's back now, and that main promo looks the same.
Yeah it's back, but Rochelle is now broken at the moment-- no more PC+ discount.

Looks like it was pulled again. Probably for the Mickey Mouse pics. Q&A must be really busy to miss that one!
