Sigh. I like the figure itself, but the content of the bundles leaves me cold. Top it off with the fact that I already own all the free items, and this one is an easy pass for now.

I don't know. Pick the right add-ons, stack it with a PC+ discount, I get a total price of $44.05. Plus, if people can have all the freebies, there's probably an Orange Banner on its way.
EDIT: I think there's already an extra bonus in effect already, just with no message attached yet. The Pro Bundle is coming up lower than the 30% off would suggest.
The orange and green banners will probably be up by morning. There've usually been loyalty discounts for the last several relases. I'm pretty sure I've got one, since I've picked up most of the Pro bundles this generation.
As to the latest; I approve. Like the figure a lot. Hadn't really expected to see Bethany herself back, since, apart from the majors (Victoria, Michael, Stephanie, Aiko, and Girl, and these days Olympia), The core ethnics, and some of the Thorne dolls, this generation is not replaying many of the characters which only showed up last generation. We've been getting sort of similar ones instead.
And lots more character actors. Latonya seems to have a lot of character.
What she doesn't seem to have is a reasonable wardrobe. I like the hairs, they look useful. The poses look interesting, but I don't know what whoever designed that Cornibus outfit was thinking. The space suit is attractive in a retroish Buck Rogersy way but silly as all get out. The other two in the Pro bundle have some useful bits at least, but still...
Maybe not what i hoped for but i do like her. At least its a woman woth a normal figure as opposed to the default supermodel look most woman have in the store.
I also like her skin a lot. Not to dark as with monique but also not to light that it looks like a sun tan acident
But the skin tone can easily be manipulated if needs be.
Also realy like the channen hair.
Considering its not male or asian woman its a decent pack this time. Can't wait for the renders to pop up here.
I like Latonya, and I like that the deeper discounts work for the base figure as well, since I can now pick and choose the things I want, rather than getting a pro bundle of which I don't like three quarters.
What I don't like is that there is still no core Daz Asian character (male or female). Luckily there are alternatives for that, including elsewhere.
She's different, and that's good. The Bundle items are a bit meh, but there are some useful pieces in each outfit. Too bad Samsil wasn't roped in for a hair. Hopefully, her skin renders as hyper-realistically as Zelara's.
I'm concerned about what this means for the future of the Core Genesis 8 Males, though.

Well, given this bundle gets the PA Festival discounts I'm not sure about loyalty bonuses? It sounds like it should already be pretty cheap.
Yeah, 76% off seems pretty good... But keep in mind this time the deal is going to only last today (or, well, probably a few days given past examples).
From the looks of this image, Latonya's skin seems heavily painted rather than photorealistic.
I gotta say, I like her better than Monique. That face just jumps out and screams Angela Bassett to me. Also loving the detailed base skin. I usually don't care much for the base skin textures, but this one looks great. And I am super, SUPER glad she didn't turn out to be a companion figure to Toon Dwayne. I know lots of people love toon figures, but they're not the kinda thing I rush to pick up. Well, time for one fast render before trying to get some sleep... Straight out of the box, except for the Victoria 8 Eyebrows.

I love that character! She's definitely set to be a badass heroine, cut from a more realistic mold.
I think the P3D image above isn't the best representation; some of the Latonya 8 promo images themselves have VERY high res versions, which show a very detailed skin texture. The horned outfit vaguely calls to mind Mardis Gras Carnival mask/cap, although I'm not part of that scene. But I generally agree it's a pretty WTF outfit. :)
I lovelovelove pixie and tousled hair separately, so both together is a great thing for me. The rest of the Pro Bundle are decent, if mostly nondescript. I'll find uses for them, I'm sure, but I love the core character a lot.
I'm really glad this character avoided some of the issues of past character bundles, and I really like the spacesuit (for fantasy space renders of course) and the 'sports' outfit begs for retexturing (and I know folks who'd wear the Panthera bottoms and the jewelry is nice).
I think DAZ did it pretty well.

I like the base character, but I don't care for the outfits in the pro bundle. I own most of the free items that I wanted. Nice to see a curvier model.

A definite must-buy - Bethany has been a fav - so I couldn't resist Latonyas looks or figure. Really, who would want all the Genesis 3 figures repeated on 8. Personally I like Monique 7 better than 8, Victoria and Michael 7 better than their 8 equivalents.
Some rather spendid companion figures, the Pro included hair is really nice, even if the starter hair is reminiscent of Toulouse Hair.
Compared to the $100 off/3 free bundles of previous sales this is pretty meh. And the bundle itself is nothing to write home about.
The character is decent, but in this case I'll just wait until her bundle can be had for less.
The discounts are nice and make mixing and matching products a fun game.

Yeh, I also already own all the free items. Since I like the character, but without the extra incentive I may get just the base or stater bundle instead of the pro bundle.

I also own all the free items, but I got a total price of $33.06 for the Pro bundle when I put in the cart (at least) two add-ons. If you own all the stuff, trying putting things in your cart...you might be surprised. (I actually bought 8 of the add-on items, but the $33 price for the Pro Bundle kicked in after just two add-ons... My first two were the HD morphs and the Panthera Textures, and that brought it down that far.)
Just to note, that's probably because I've spent absurd amounts of money on nearly every Gen8 character so far; I don't want folks to feel disheartened that they're not getting that discount. It might also be a glitch. If you don't get that high a discount, it probably means you saved money by not buying something in the past that I splurged on. I think she's a great deal, and a great character, and was definitely ready to buy at the higher price. (Unlike the toon Dwayne, who I bought begrudgingly and am pretty sure I made a mistake in doing so...)

Latonya 8 with a few tweaks with Altern8.
I think its a good offer - We get 2 free pro bundles with this, so its potentially better than the previous $100 off promotions if you dont already have them (there are many I dont already have). Obviously its not as good as the previous 3 free pro bundle offers.
Some people have mentioned that they already own all the offered free pro bundles. So Daz should have offered a wider range of free bundles to choose from.
The sale pages are a bit confusing because
1. the free items are on the Premier artist sale page and the link from the Latonya 8 sale page mentioning the free items doesnt take you directly to them.
2. The premier artist sale page "Debut new releases" section where you select 2 items to trigger getting the free items is a bit risky as you may accidently select something already inside the Latonya pro bundle, so its safer to choose your 2 triggering items from the Latonya sale page in the "Add-ons for Latonya 8" section.

I bought the base character, Channen Hair, and FW Onika. The nice renders in this thread sold me, and it was only 15.52 for those three items with my Platinum Club coupon.
Well, we get both the return of Bethany (albiet under a new name) and a non-white girl at the same time. Works for me!

....Well, maybe, but only in the sense that your forum renders on new released figures often make me buy when I'd initially decided on a miss. They make me see potential in the figure that the official promos don't. Keep it up.
