I've had it go either way, with checkout being a penny less than the cart. My guess is the cart only shows us to two decimal points, but the software is calculating to more than two.
Like you, however, I think the price shouldn't fluctiuate between the cart and the final price. I've never seen it happen at any of the other online stores I use…
It's another wonderful (it's a wonder it's worked so long) feature of the Magento store software; and yes, it's always been there. The final price is actually consistent (I think), it's all the intermediate steps that are never quite always calculated with the same precision, especially when there are discounts to at least one of the cart items. When the amounts get rounded to the nearest cent, there's enough wiggle room for a phantom +/-1 to creep in.
I'm only seeing 58% off the items from today's scif-fi pick in my cart. I own the Zelara Pro Bundle, so it should be 65%?
Can you relog and possibly try another browser to check if it's a cache issue before I report this?

In my cart I have the Zelara 8 pro bundle + 3 addons + the 100$ free items. From the 40% + 40% additional items as per the matrix I put Altern8 in my cart as it is not a new item I tried to also apply the monthly PA coupon to get the additional 6$ off Altern8 as there is nothing stating that coupons cannot also be used but it takes absolutely nothing off the total of my cart which is 71.13 before and afte applying the coupon to the cart. I should be able to take the 6$ off the Altern8 item shouldn't I?
Can you try a different cart that contains Altern8 and enough product to make the $18 needed (if necessary) and try to apply the coupon? Does that work?
For the Save6 PC+ coupon you need to have $18 worth of qualfying (ie not new) items. If the only not new item you have in the cart is Altern8 then you don|t meet the minimum.
What Charlie said. Makes sense. Probably triggers the same way having free stuff denies the coupon.
thanks Chris and Charlie, I see it now.. it does not use the regular price of altern8 which is 21.95 it would be the disounted prices which need to be more than 18.00. Usually when I use that coupon I have several PA items in my cart and I guess it's always worked so I never noticed which prices the coupon is actually using to figure if it should take off the 6$
i tried adding 2 more not new items Romantic pool and romantic pool addons with altern8 the sale price on the 3 add up to over 25.00 and it still doesn't take the 6$ off . I think either they need to fix this so the coupons will work even if there is free stuff in the cart or at least post on the sale page that coupons cannot be used along sith free items in the cart which isn't really fair as they are supposed to work as long as you meet the requirements for the coupon which for the PA coupon is supposed to just work as long as you have more than 18.00 of product.
@esha @Divamakeup So i will be removing those 3 items from my cart but I want the artists to know why I didn't purchase them which is because Daz doesn't make the coupons work as they are supposed to during these sales.
Can you list what products you have in your cart? A screen shot will be fine so we can see if we can reproduce it and let Daz know if there is a problem.
I suspect you're trying to use the coupon for PA products and you have DazOs in your cart. That would make the coupon not work.
I have the Zelara 8 probundle plus 3 addons, plus the 100.00 of free items ( 0.00 items, 8 items in total) then I put 3 items from the featured artists that are 40% with no purchase but you get additional 40% off if you buy Zelara pro bundle . The PA items I have in my cart are Altern8 + romantic pool+ romantic pool addons which adds up to over 25.00 and are not new.
the thing is that nowhere does it say you can't use the coupon if you have 0.00 $ items in your cart also ... the only requirements is that you have over 18$ and they are not new, I have met those requirements so I am confused as to why the coupon doesn't work. If I do a new cart with just those 3 items so I can use my coupon then I lose out on the additional 40% off for because everything is not in the same cart as the items in the Zelara sale. That isn't fair to either me or the PA's who now lost a sale because this isn't working as per the requirements to use the coupon. I hope Daz can get this working correctly for these sales so there is no confusion. I don't think I should have to jump through the hoops of buying , taking screenshots, submitting a request to Daz for reimbursement then waiting for my refund. It's seems alot of wasted time for both me and helpdesk for something that should just work. This is the first time I have actually tried to use this coupon when I have free items also in the cart, I thought the issue only happened with the PC coupon.
Keep the bold, red warning from the PC+ page in mind: "Please note: Coupon will not fully apply if free items are in Shopping Cart."
It would be useful if DAZ would set up the Save6 coupon to work at $17.95 and above. I've used it in the past when the total has been a couple of cents below $18, but yesterday I tried to use it with an item from the one day only 40-65% off sale. There were a few Stonemason things that were $17.97 with the 40% discount, but it wouldn't accept the code. Nobody is actually fooled by the marketing-101 $9.99 vs $10.00 nonsense - $17.95/99 is $18.00. There are already enough restrictions on the coupons as it is.
I have never seen that warning until you mentioned it here and it took me at least 5 minutes to figure out what page you were talking about, as I have been a pc member since 2005 ( I think) why would I ever return to that page to see if some disclaimer has been posted? But again this isn't how the coupon is supposed to work according to the requirements you need to meet as posted along with the coupon code, it is a condition of how Daz sets up the sales and this problem has only come about recently. if you go to the page to get your coupon code to copy into the shopping cart page that is where I read the conditions of the coupon and how to use it, absolutely nothing there saying the coupon won't work because of **** only the requirements of what you do need are there and I met those requirements. Seems to me people have just accepted this as how it works now, instead of it working properly, and Daz sees no reason to either make the sale so it works properly or rewrite the rules for the coupons yet again to add another restriction to them to say you now can't use them in conjuction with sales that offer free items.
I don't usually complain about these things and I do the vast majority of my shopping here and have spent thousands of dollars here as opposed to probably less than a hundred at other sites, I like Daz and I support them but this issue is one thing I believe they should fix one way or another .

Let customers complain in the forum is cheaper than having an expert fiddling for hours with the shop.
If you turn in a ticket, they'll credit the difference back to your account. Or at least they always have in the past.
If I recall correctly throughout most of the last two years PC+ sales, it was 30% off.
Basically, it is a good deal at 40%. As a nearly 3 year member, I think the only times I have seen it lower were during short-lived glitches / stacking events. If you are patient and watchful, you may do better, but you also may get worse.
You may find it lower with a stacking sale during march madness I believe.

I'll reiterate what I've said each time this comes up too - yes, it's annoying, but there isn't an easy fix for this. The way to fix this involves redoing the way the current rules are set up, which is something on the to-do list - however it's not something that can be done overnight.

for me it means that if i put 1 G3M item from those PAs in the list, i get 40% AND additionally 40% more. so Lukas G3M costs normally $15.95, with the day's 40% it comes down to $9.57 - which is what my cart shows - BUT where are the additional 40%? this should cost $5.74 or something, if the 40% are taken off $9.57..
what did i get wrong - again?
btw, i tried to add 2 items from today's new products in my cart to see if those would trigger the additional 40% off - nope, no change.
It may be because Lukas is a figure and not 'clothing and wearables'?
