    For me it was love at first sight.     ok I caved and grabbed the PC+  3 month sub too, all up a lot of stuff, just better not succumb and load up too much on PC+ things next 3 months and deplete my remaining bank balance devil

    it was only $2 more for the PC+

    our AUD pretty crappy though so was in fact $120 crying but that in effect stops me spending anywhere online not just DAZ.

    Im really kind of tired of another old man character on top just getting a wizard, Ollie, Aldo, and aging morphs. Would much prefer something that pushed the limits of G8M with a newly sculpted form for more action like a G8 Freak and She Freak. So far only the G8M faces have seemed original with the same gangly taffy arms and hollow chested beer guts.

    I'm betting the Dwayne 8 that's been spotted in fittings is going to essentially be the new Freak character as far as physique goes.  With as popular as The Rock has gotten, and with him being part of a very underrepresented minority in pretty much all aspects of media, I think Daz would be missing the boat in a major way by not having their Dwayne be at least reminiscent of him.

    I think it'll be at least July before Dwayne is released. If it were loosely based on the 'Rock' as he's nicknamed, what would be the modern female famous equivalent to him? I can't think of no modern equivalents to Linda Hamilton. Speaking of Linda Hamilton 'Silent Night' is a great movie. 

    Mabel and anybody's guess for the other female before July male has yet to come.

    had so many render concepts styles go through my head for Floyd had a few ideas some naughty benny hill humour for awhile that perfect for Floyd and Ollie and normal ones right now doing a standard fantasy one fight dforce with wizard though doesn't like pose chose might have to cheat and sacrifice

    I totally agree. I was planning on sitting G8 out for the most part. Once I figured out Redz' instructions for transferring morphs from G3, I figured I had enough pretty girls and guys too last until G9, including some decent diversity. But these new characters are blowing me away. There's so much potential. And I love the troll. I'm a sucker for good monsters. Picked up Damien as  one of my freebies. I can't wait to play...

    I have to agree here as well. I have a lot of content for G3, but Floyd is very tempting. I just don't know, how i can mix him up with my G3 Universe. I already got V4 and M4 into the G3 universe, but now I'm somehow stuck. Where can i find Redz' instructions?

    Floyd's got a wonderful resemblance to Walter Mathew & Karl Malden.

    I wish I could've gotten Ollie when he was on sale--great resemblance to Larry Fine there! Fortunately, I was able to snag Edde.

    As much as I do like the "perfect, ideal model" characters that have been produced over the years, I think it's fantastic that DAZ has begun rolling out characters with genuine real-world features, starting with George way back when. Kind of hard to create realistic scenes where every single figure is a Holywood A-List Star Model and NOONE is a "supporting" or "background" castmember. Which reminds me that I need to be sure to pick up X-Morphs asap, too!

    Anyone else not getting the discount?  I have a banner that says I get 20% off since I'm a supporter of the G8 product line.  So I put Floyd 8 Pro in the cart with 1 of the addon packs  (textures for the Leif Viking outfit), then went and put my free bundle in the cart.  Is it because I dumped my PC memebership when it expired a couple weeks ago?  Is that why the Floyd Pro back is still almost $80 in my cart?  And I have absolutely no discount for me on the Lief Viking textures.

    Just because of no PC memebership now?

    Looks like a shadow terminator problem. Try increasing the Render SubD.

    I believe the shower cap is actually the bouffant female surgical cap from https://www.daz3d.com/surgical-gowns-for-genesis with a clear plastic shader.  Still haven't placed the duck, though I found a similar one on CG Trader under "rubber ducky Pool float", as well as four or five different inflatable swan and flamingo pool toys.  It's such a simple design, though, that it could be a one-off prop built to purpose.

    I may be completely off base here, but I wouldn't be astonished to discover that it was when George for G3 made his debut and shot to the top of the popularity polls overnight, that DAZ woke up and decided to start pushing the envelope a little.
