As long as the ute guy inside the skimpy top is woofy enough to tingle about, I'm with you. yes  Although, I've seen some guys with skimpy tops that had no business wearing skimpy tops.  Tents would have been better. surprise

Complaint:  Not unexpected, but it's snowing again. sad   I hate digging out the car and risking the driveway after a snow.  And here I was planning on going to an "Open House" 50% off sale at an auction warehouse tomorrow.  I'm sure I could have found something that I didn't think I could live without. indecision

I thought that you had sworn off auctions.  Or is it only online auctions?

If you wait a while, the snow may just melt off your car.

54f here right now.  And it's before noon!  A cold front is coming tonight or tomorrow, though.

    Dana

I have sort of sworn off off-line auctions, however, the event I described is a 50% off sale of items stored in a local auction house's warehouse.  They have two new estates worth of stuff coming in and they need to get rid of stuff in their warehouse to make room for the new stuff.  i.e out with the old old stuff and in with the new old stuff.   So, I just walk in and if I find something that I think I can't live without and it doesn't break my budget, I pull it from the shelf and pay cash for it.  I get to touch it, and inspect it, and love it and hold it and take it home with me. yes  No ifs, ands, or buts, and no refunds. indecision

Complaint:  Arghhhh... something just clattered on my porch.  A quick check revealed that the snow is really coming down now and the wind is blowing it sideways and hard enough to blow over the snow shovel leaning against the house on the porch.  Bang, clatter, rattle. no

    Oh.   Bah on the snow!

it's april, enuff with the snow already. yeesh

It's contagious for 7-10 days, I understand (here we call it tonsillitis).

Not really the same thing. You can have strep throat even if your tonsils have been removed. https://www.healthline.com/health/tonsillitis-vs-strep-throat

..be glad your not in Stevens Point WI where it's not just snow but bitter cold.  Going to be 7° F tomorrow morning and 3° (Real feel of -2°) on Sunday morning.  Normal high for Sunday there is 51° and normal low 30°.  So yeah even in "Tundra Country" an unusual April so far.

Non-complaint:  I learned from the radio today that this year would have been Leonard Bernstein's 100th.  I believe it was he who did the most to keep classical music alive in this modern age.  His "Young People's Concerts" on TV in the '50s & '60s were my introduction to great music.  Here's a YouTube clip of his discussion of the various instruments and dissection of a classic piece.  I particularly like that it is an adult discussion and not kiddiefied.  No "Peter and the Wolf" here.

Complaint:  I woke up to 2 or 3 inches of snow but bundled up, swept off the porch, dusted off the car and went early to that 50% off sale at the auction warehouse.  Didn't want to miss anything.  What a waste of time!  Just small trinkets, kitsch and junk.  frown  I think they use the word "Estate" very loosely.  They could easily make room for "two new Estates worth of items" by shoving 90% their current stuff into a dumptruck out the back door. indecision

Lake effects snow?  Seems like that never died down this year.  Lakes never froze over?

...I get then on occasion when a pinched nerve in my back is aggravated, and yes it is extremely painful.  No matter what you do to make yourself comfortable it does no good.

Something is wrong with my DIM.  I loaded it and it had messed up text.  I closed and reloaded it and it had no text.  Maybe a computer restart will help.  Almost said a computer reset, which is not a good idea at this time.

Not true!surprise  When one attains the "Golden Years", the gold (what there is of it) flows from you to the doctor.  If you watch carefully you can catch a hint of the glint of it's hind end. frown

Perhaps that's why we become forgetful, so that we can be children again? enlightened  I for one am just waiting for the day I can poop my pants and not be bothered by it. frown (*dismal sarcasm*)

...aside from my aches and pains along with intolerance to various foods I used to like (and cold weather), keep trying to tell myself that.
