Does iray eat up the battery?

You are thinking of electric rays, a major hazard for battery powered buoys at sea.

...well it does if, as DanaT mentions, you are using a notebook computer and renders are taking forever to complete.

But...does Lectric Shave™ pose a hazard?  That's the real burning question.

You're revealing your age!   Are you nostalgic about "Mail Pouch" barns too? surprise

Ah, the good ol' days.  I really miss the smell of leaded gasoline in the morning. frown

I'm 58 and seriously occasionally nostalgic.  I miss travelling with my parents across the US, stopping at every Stuckys in middle America!  Let's get stuck at Stuckys!

Going to see a wrinkle in time soon.  As in after the previews show.  Why do the movie theater have ads? It is not like I am getting in for free.  Also I think I lost my afternoon pill.

  • NVIATWASNVIATWAS Posts: 1,242

What to cook tonight?  Lunch was cheeseburger pizza (4 slices left) - alfredo sauce, burger, and couble cheddar cheese - so I'm thinking of bbqing one of my chicken leg quarters.  I bought leg quarters and drumsticks, so I'm ready for good eating! :-)

Weather is beautiful here.  Still freezing at night but in the 40sF during the day.  Patches of snow in the fields and shadows.  No precipitation.  Bright blue skys with small patches of fluffy clouds.  Still perfect weather for the maple sap gatherers.

    Just thought I'd share. cheekydevil

ard drive cloner is cloning, safety tip make sure the source disk is in the soource bay

there were no screws to fuss about, hdd was in a caddy, slid out.  the screw holes on the caddy were all empty, had to rip the caddy off.

getting it all back in the case is the next trick.

cloner duplicates the hd id.  might have to reactivate windows10.

Time to start bbqing!  Going to make a spicy mustard Caroolina-style bbq sauce with dijon mustard, hot sauce, and vinear.  Home made sauce, baby!  Should cook for 3-4 hours at about 200f. :-)

    Good morning!

Weather here is schizophrenic!  Going into the market, blue sky above, some clouds 10 degrees or so away from the center above my head.  Moon visible.  Snow flakes falling!  What the hell is going on?!!!

all the anxiety of hdd over.  turned out fairly simple.

there was an extra slider it in bracket.  storing the original drive in there as backup, but not connected.

windows 10 doesnt seem to care is on new drive.
to extend the e partition i'll have to destroy it and rebuild , will see if win10home can go over 2tb partitions

the terrorbyte excitement, forgot my tea. cold tea not as comforting as hot tea.

Grapes and citrus are fruits.   Grapes are berries and grow on vines.  Citrus grow on trees and can be considered berries because they are fleshy fruit produced from a single ovary.  But grapes are not citrus.  Nor are they pommes (apples & pears).

If hard drive, yes.  If SSD, no.  Run "trim" instead on SSDs  Trim is kind of like "garbage collection", and without it your system will eventually slow down.  A lot.  Most defrag software does default to trim for SSDs.

Don't know; I keep my partitions around 1TB so that full backups and antivirus scans go faster.

If we cancel funding for the Met Office, will they stop throwing bad weather at us?
