Simple Question about Scaling a Primitive

Scaling a cube on the Y axis makes it grow taller with the base staying in place, but scaling on either the X or Z axis causes both sides to grow. Is there a way to constrain one side like the Y axis? Thanks

  • This happens because the End Point is set to the bottom of the cube, and yet also in the center The top portion extends from the End Point, while the sides extend from the Center Point. Thus, the sides extend equally.

    You can open the Joint Editor and move the Center point to the edge of the cube, and it will only extend from that point.

    Its the placement of the origin, not placement of the end point.
