HAHAHHAHAHA Sir Waddleston (Cartoon Parrot for Daz Studio) is one of the best things I've ever seen for sale here at Daz. I literally Laughed Out Loud when I saw his promo images! hahah

He looks so good - SO funny and cute! WELL DONE, 3D Universe! yes

"What do I need a parrot for?"  ("Who am I kidding?  I'll find a need for that parrot.  In the cart it goes.")

Who "heard" the character Iago from Alladin in their heads when seeing this figure?

    Sincerely,

He looks great and very well made, but I will never have a need for a cartoon parrot. Would have been neat to have a realistic version included as well since I get a ton of use out of Noggins parrot, but it's showing it's age.

Ken has some parrots at HIvewire, I don't think they are as old as the Noggins one, and he is planning on updating his bird to Iray etc next year.

    Renders anyone? laugh

  • Cool birdy ... and I cherish 3DU ... BUT ...

Why do some vendors always invent their own directory structure und clutter the customer's dirs with stuff that does not belong to there ?
In this case the textures are not in the Runtime\Textures folder but under Runtime\3DUniverse\Animals\ToonParrot.

And 2nd: What format are the .duf files so that DSON Edit cannot read them ? New encryption ?

Such specials are just painful for the customer :-/

doesn't load in Carrara.. get the IO error.. but a simple resave of it fixes the problem.. also have to do same to some of the props... textures have to be done as well..

So Carrara users can get it and do the fixes and render away cool

Rendered & posed in Carrara but haven't done anything with the textures to speak of... just a quickie.. devil

Sir Waddleston didn't think this one through, or perhaps he did.

I've loved all sorts of parrots & parakeets since I was a small child so of course I'm buying this bird.

If you do renders of him, I hope you post them. :) I spent my December budget so I can't get him right away - I'll have to live vicariously through you guys until after the holidays (when I'll have more money for fun Daz purchases)! :D

So definitely keep the renders coming. laugh I love this little guy! heart

They are tremendously social and friendly. My cockatiel from boyhood would start singing it's heart out about 3PM everyday waiting for me to get home from school. It'd open it's cage door, fly to meet me (sort of like a flying Dino & Fred), and then fly to the kitchen sink and turn on the water to get a drink of cold water.

I bred cockatiels for awhile ,the first one I hand raised was a little female who was so sweet when her first mate died she fell in love with my father and would shreik her head off trying to get his attention , when I moved I had to call him and put him on speaker phone once a week for her.

He looks so expressive and adorable! Almost got him yesterday but I keep putting things in my cart, then realizing I can't afford it and put everything back... If I purchased everything in my cart everyday I would be spending over $50 a day... So many new great products coming out, almost everything is going in my wishlist!
