LG!!!! How ya been? So good to see you here still! smiley

Off to doctor again tomorrow for 3-week post-op checkup.  At least I seem to have finally stopped bleeding for a couple days.  I get to bend my surgeons ear about my hallucinations and lack of sleep for 36 hours while initially recovering in the hospital right after surgery.  I am not a good patient, made a fuss, and had to get out of the hospital and away from whatever was causing hallucinations so that I could get some sleep.  Never again prostate surgery two days before Thanksgiving!  Also, hospitals are where you go to catch diseases, so I caught a cold or flu from the other guy in my room.  I think it was fluish but since I had the vaccine it was very mild but still had chills & shivers, aches & pains for the last couple of weeks while gritting my teeth and dancing on my toes everytime I had to pee or even thought about peeing or even had a tremor of an erection.  And having to use absorbent shields to mop up leakages for the last three weeks has been great fun too.  And until stretched valves return to normal (if ever) I discovered that I have to make a dash to the pee pot every time I get out of my chair.  Too much information yet? devil  This was not this much trouble the first time they did it. sad

But I still wake up in the morning,  I can stand upright.  I can control the flow of food in or out from both ends.  And I can sleep at night.  You know, the important things. yes

Oh no!! My dear friend!! I am so sorry to hear you are going through all of that. (hugs) Glad you're sleeping and keeping food down though. I hope your recovery is quick and complete and you never have to go through that ever again!!

    (Another BIG hug) heart

Snow on the ground here.  Shoveled it off the driveway...mostly.  It isn't melting, though.  And it looks like we may get more this week.  And that will be my complaint.

...oh, by the way, after almost a decade of waiting and hoping, it looks like I'm finally getting my wish, as there will be an accurate, fully modelled 9' concert grand piano (including  the inner frame strings and hammers) to be released here in the store.  It is by the same PA who created that beautiful Violin and poses which appeared in the store last night.

Leela is giddy and way too excited for words.

...compared to the one I found on Turbosquid (125$ with a restrictive licence requiring me to contact the actual piano builder for securing rights to use it in illustrations) it will be a bargain even if it is priced like a Stonemason set. Considering it will have a fully rigged keyboard, fully rigged hammers, fully rigged pedals,m rigged lid with two lid props rigged keyboard lid, as well as full inner frame and strings, yeah it will be worth every penny.  The PA mentioned the model based off of a combination of a Bosendorfer Imperial 280, a Steinway D Model, and a Bechstein Concert Grand (all of which I am familiar with and have played on).  He even posted a couple teasers on the thread I put up.

I have been waiting for this ever since I became involved in 3D a decade ago.

Morning. Hot morning, hot wind, is simply hot here today -even seagulls have quit soaring and are everywhere spread like damp rags around shady nooks and crannies along the facades of buildings themselves sagging a little in hot yellow sun :)

Sunday I was shoveling snow.  Today it got to almost 50F!  About to go watch the news and will see what tomorrow will be like.  Maybe tropical (though I highly doubt it).  This is New England!   laugh

Western NY State lake effect here.  20F and at least 8 inches of snow this morning and still falling.

Non-complaint:  I did make it to the doctor's yesterday despite having to sweep 2 inches of snow off the car for the first time this winter.  And I made it back home safely except for trouble getting up my driveway which was eventually conquered with judicious driving, some slipping and sliding, emphatic pressure on the gas pedal and a couple of running starts up the slope.  Car is now parked and buried until absolutely needed again. indecision

I lost my PC membership but I think I found my PC.  I will know more tonight about the PC situation. Hoping for the best and not the worst.

Does anyone know the value of an Asus Eee PC 900HD that has battery issues and hopefully a version of linux such as Ubuntu instead of Windows?

Non-complaint:  I found an on-line auction yesterday and saw an elegant and rare item I'd wanted for decades.smiley  I patiently watched and waited most of the afternoon until my item came up.  I pounced on the "BID" button once as it first appeared at the minimum price and got feedback that "I was the current highest bidder".  Yea!  Then I noticed than in the millisecond from the time my brain made the decision to  press the "BID" button to the time my finger actually moved, the price had flipped up a step.  Grrr...  That, and the "Buyer's Fee" plus tax and exorbitant shipping brings the total to 3 times the price I had intended to spend. frown

Complaint:  I found an on-line auction yesterday and saw an item I'd wanted for decades and won it.  This is terrible. sad These auctions are way too addictive.  Almost as bad as shopping at DAZ.  My budget is now shot to hell for the next 3 months and I still have medical bills to prepare for.  I've made the decision that auctions are now off my plate.  All email  notices for auctions will go directly to the JUNK folder, the credit card comes out of my wallet and goes into the safe, and it's a cash only existence for a hundred days.  And DAZ will have to exist without my support.  The catalog is off limits.  Putting my finger fingers in my ears (la-la-la-la)  except for freebies.

Edited to correct the anatomically impossible act of putting one finger it both ears (without a very long finger and definite brain damage).
