Ehhhh, I'd be more inclined to buy some of the Zeddicuss offerings today if the handcuffs had smartprops & poses for males and less softcore porn poses for the females. But the Unbreak Spine dial for G3F that I found on ShareCG makes the idea of buying Zeddicuss anything a smidge more palatable, lmao.

Hey everybody, cookies are here! Just in time for a DAZ midnight snack too.

Shazbat! I went to bed after the glitch, but before the Daz Midnight snack. Oh well, I"ll just eat those with my eyes. Mmm, giant chocolate chunk oatmal cookies with red wine. Nath, you are a true connoisseur. Thanks!

So, I'll be prepared next Saturday with some brewskis, happy hour seems to be around 6pm-8pm PST/8pm-10pm MST.Hopefully they can keep this schedule.

LOL, while I enjoy the deals I have gotten, I hope it doesn't happen more often as I would hate to see them suffer financially as a company, especially the PAs. I enjoy using DS and can't imagine having to use/learn another app with less functionality (it's why I don't render in Max or Blender)

I dont"t think anyone is suffering financially, Daz or PAs. Jack, who is not only a duly appointed Daz representative here, but also a PA, was very clear about that last Monday, when I asked a question about this precise matter. Here's is his answer:

"Daz have always made good on any unforseen glitches, so I'm confident it will be straightened out over the next few days :)"

So, if anyone is still wonderning if it's okay to take advantage of glitches, DOs or PA products, the answer is yes. Those are Daz rules and we play by them.

I may even have chocolate chip cookies somewhere, I'll need to check laugh

Got it covered, LOL All this talk of cookies so I figured I would model some in Max instead of trolling thru the sales and trying to figure out the math. It was a nice way to kill an hour, may have to spend more time creating and less shopping, LOL

    Those look Yummy! :)

Well, that happened. Going to hate looking at the bank balance on Monday morning. Beans this week for sure, and forget about Christmas gifts, LOL. I'm just going to start telling people that I joined a bizarre digital Barbie cult that forces me to arise early from my slumber to check sales and entices me on Saturday nights with glitches, taking all my money so I can worship at the feet of our goddess Victoria and her steadfast companion, Michael.

    Funny...hahaha Good explaination. :)

Still doesn't mean they are doing well financially, just that they are being fair. I doubt they would ever post in the forums that business was bad, but I do hope you are right. makes me feel better about snagging a PC annual renewel really cheap last night. At least it will make me spend more over the next year.,

Doing commercial 3D work myself, knowing what the PAs get and how hard it is to make a living doing this, I always feel bad when I get a good deal from them.

I have the whole set of Terrence Hill movies as a cowboy when I lived in Switzerland. He & Bud Spencer are unknown in US. It wasn't till later that I realized he was the actor as the cop in the 'Super Cop' movie when I was a boy. That was a funny movie. Hmmm, seems they changed the name of that movie, it is now known as 'Miami Supercop' and sort of expensive too!

Anyway, I'm here to report a cart discount bug:

DAZ Dragon 3 Bundle is almost $7 cheaper without a DAZ Store 'New' item, in this case the Lord Cogsworth Texture Set!

Don't feel bad, it was on my radar since mine was up in feb, so any sale that was going on I was checking for it and just got lucky last night. I did make up the savings with all the other stuff I bought along with it, LOL.

New items seem to take away a part of the discount on a number of items. I noticed it with another item. Even today's freebie takes away some of the discount.

I respect your personnal feelings. But I would like you to feel better (because your cookies make me feel betterwink). So consider this, when you see a good deal, you can ask yourself: "Am I breaking any rules? Is it legitimate?" Anything beyond that is not really necessary. I mean, you might even feel bad about getting some freebies offered by Daz, because some poor PA *might* get cheated. See how far it can go?

Now, about the Daz financial situation, believe me, if Daz was suffering financially from glitches, they would have been out of business a loooong time ago, because they happen all the time.. Instead of that, I"ve seen them buy off rival companies and put them out of business. So I wouldn't worry about that either.smiley

I didn't exactly have time to write anything, other than the initial "what the heck?" here in this thread. :D

Would be nice if they sorted this out before Daz Midnight.

Yeah, it's hard to type and pull the trigger on an awesome deal at the same time. Holy Terrence Hill!

Well I don't know why anyone would have assumed the Thanksgiving mistake was a glitch when it behaved the way all the other free Thanksgiving giveaways had worked. By Thanksgiving glitch I guess @ATI means the approximate hour that a long list of Genesis 3 and older products was made available as freebies, including some old pro bundles. Still haven't heard it confirmed it was actually a mistake. Giveways or near giveways of 'leading loss' products is common practice in the retail industry for many years now to attrack new customers and more sales of profitable products.

Now the $7 discrepency on the DAZ Dragon is I showed in my card earlier is definately a mistake for one of them, which one I can't guess and it's unfair to me as a consumer to try and have me guess which one is correct. I will take the cheaper one everytime. That should be incentive to a business to avoid presenting such dilemmas to their customers.

That's what I mean, yes. And they were not entirely free, either, we had to buy a new item to get 3 of them. Still, it was 4 in the morning for me, with less that 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep for days, so I wasn't really thinking straight... :D

I agree. How many times do we hear people saying : "I felt guilty about taking advantage of the 'glitch', so I bought more than i intended to, to compensate."? No wonder Daz surivived all of those 'glitches.'

I will need to renew myself by this coming Feb. Mine had expired back in May and I picked up a 3 month one just lately. I have been trying to watch. I had a busy day yesterday and was not inside or home for much of it, then I was tired. lol I missed it. :(

Yeah, I'm experiencing the same thing. When I add a new item, rather than getting more discount, the price of everything jumps. Example cart attached.

    • First screenshot shows the price with a new PC+ item ($2.99) = $39.22 (71% discount).
    • The second screenshot shows the price WITHOUT a new item = $25.41 (79% discount).

    This should be fixed now.

  • I suspect they're not LOSING money on for-profit 3D artists with store glitches...

    As much as...

They're MAKING money on hobbyists who simply wouldn't buy these products at their asking list prices, anyhow.

It is really the only model that makes sense for DAZ. I'm a consumer, not a pro, I don't make any money off the 3D content - and I've spent ~$3000 in the last couple of years here. To put that in perspective, MS Office and Photoshop ran me around $600 last year, and my i7 with an 8GB 1070GTX and my Surface Pro 4 i7 together were only a $3600 price tag. For a Software model, I suspect that DAZ is making a killing compared to most other vendors in their industry trying to sell digital content.

There is a reason they give the actual PROGRAM away for free. It is the content where they make their money.

  • I saw the cart jumping with new items, including the free boots, in the cart, too.

Now with or without the new item everything jumped in price :(. I get $38.11 without the new release & $39.22 with the new PC+ item ($2.99).

I still have the screenshot of the prices before ($25.41), is there a way I can ask support to respect those prices?
