confirmed! only get that extra discount on that last sale row IF you do NOT have a new release in the cart. Weird.

i think it's about 1.30am in dazland right now, so it's after midnight. Were you able to recreate the last sale items not giving the correct discount if we own one of the G8 featured characters? That's the only thing not working in the sale.

For any other issues, please make sure 1) you wait till at least 1/2 hour after midnight, 2) relog, 3) refresh, thanks.

I found that it worked without a new release in the cart, but once a new release was added, the 60% off from the last sale items disappeared.

  • Example carts, please.

That promo is working for me. I carted two products in that promo category and received 60% + 30% loyalty discount.

Can you rephrase that and give examples, maybe?

I think she's saying the last category on the sales page that says "Owners of any Featured Genesis 8 Character above get these Featured Previous Generation Genesis Add-ons for 60% OFF" isn't working correctly - and that she owns one of the "Featured Genesis 8 Characters above" but it's not giving her the 60% off.

Are the percentages off suppose to be from the base price, or the listed price? For example, if Gianni 7 Pro Bundle (under the 2016/2015 Top Sellers) is listed as 47,23, would it be 60% off the 47,23 or the base 134,95? I'm trying to figure the logic if I have a 30% loyalty reward discount. Would it be base price - 60% off, then an added 30% off that price? Does 85% off as the final price make sense in that case, given that I have a 30% loyalty discount?

Cris, see the screenshot - three items without new release, get correct discount. As soon as the new release is put in, the correct discounts disappear.

    Example carts, please.

Put one of the new releases in and you'll see that they drop discounts. It only works if they are the ONLY items in teh cart.

Also, to point out - adding the Michael 7 Intimates only gives a 30% discount for me (not 60% with owning gen8 characters as stated, plus loyalty discounts) - looks like it's only adding my loyalty discount.

Hum... I'm getting my loyalty discount applied twice on today's new releases and some of the other categories in today's sale. 30% + 30% = 51% loyality discount.

  • I just tried the victoria hd by itself and with new product and see what you mean, reported.

are you a PC member and are they daz originals?

Yes, it's broke with a new release added to the cart.

Wow, this can get really expensive, provided the glithces are sorted out.

  • Ok, guys, word from Daz is they will fix the freebie problem in the morning, but make sure it shows up in anyone's account who purchased it.

    They've come back :)

Regarding that freebie, from the read me page...http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/48975/start

These two images (a clear sky and a sky with scattered clouds) are being offered under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). Under this license you are free to share and adapt the included images in any way, including commercially, provided you include attribution to me as the author. (See the license.txt file for more details)

I hope this is in error, since when does Daz license stuff under CC?

Thanks for the heads up on this one.

    What does it mean, though?

Is this a restriction (do our renders need to attribute the author?), or is this a bonus (no need to attribute on renders, as covered by Daz license; and can even use the image in any other ways, provided we give attribution)? Although the extra interactive licence makes no sense if it's the latter. Actually, it doesn't make much sense even if it's the first, either.

  • Since it's a PA product, it's how they decided they would allow use and distribution, by attribution.  It's not Daz, but the PA placing it and has to do with sharing and adapting the IBL images, not renders made with them.

So if I make a render using this item, then there's no need to attribute them?

  • @Ati, taking a closer look at the readme (my emphasis)...

The included images and the DAZ Studio presets provided along with them were offered as a Christmas gift to my fellow Published Artists and DAZ Customers. It was my intention to make the included images freely available to others who may need a HDRI sky dome for inclusion with their own products. In that interest, the included images are being released and licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). Under this license you are free to share and adapt the included images in any way, including commercially, provided you included attribution to me as the author. Such attribution can be made in your readme file by simply including the following text:

    • IBL Skies images are used by permission from Denki Gakas

So if you're  a PA or other content creator, this is essentially a merchant resource - you can include this HDRI as part of your product, but you have to respect the CC terms.

If you just want to use them in a render, normal Daz terms apply and no attribution is required. At least that's my reading of that document anyway.

Of course, it's all rather moot if you can't download the files in the first place!

I can't seem to download the free IBL skies. They don't appear in DIM and when trying to download manually it takes me to the product page. Weird.

There are some nice deals on bundles this sale. I just got Olympia 6 Pro for $14 and they have others, including G3 sets.

  • If I bought M8 five days ago for $45 and now he's $18... is he only showing up as $18 because I've already got him, or is the heartbreak I'm currently wallowing in valid?

No idea on where the discount comes from, but don't forget the 30 days guarantee allows you to ask for a refund on the difference.
