2:22pm and 78f!  Too warm to open the window, which I shoukdn't do anyway being sick.  Kow tonight 54f. Groceries arrived, now have turnips, olive oil mayo, fava beans, green tea bags and double bergamot Earl Grey!  I'm trying to just use the Keurig to make hot water as apparently k-cup pods do not recycle. :(

After some sleep, feeling better, still watery itchy eyes amd runny nose. No tea worries now, thankfully.

    More napping needed...

Check your local grocer. I know that there are reusable kits for Keurig type machines. Melitta makes one, and there are some no-name versions as well. You can also get it here ===>  https://www.walmart.com/ip/Melitta-JavaJig-Reusable-Coffee-Filter-System-1-0-PACK/22017636 Apparently Wally-World is out of stock, but I'm sure other retailers still have some. I saw them in Safeway (Albertsons).

Those look pretty interesting.. I wonder if they work in my Keurig 2.0? The damn thing won't use just any pod, the pod has to be 'tagged' so the machine knows it's a licensed manufacturer.. one more reason to just use it for hot water. :|

DRM coffee was one of the dumbest marketing ploys I've ever seen. You can get around it by taking one of your licensed cups and just taping the bit of the lid that it scans right on to the scanner.

    https://www.wired.com/2014/12/hackers-claim-free-keurigs-copyrighted-coffee/

...yeah right up there with "chic" bottled water.

There are a huge number of hacks posted to get around this, so it seems to have been a mostly useless PR nightmare.  Just plain stupid..

My water is better than your water because I paid $3.40 a bottle! :P

Beer and vodka delivered, tamales heating in the air fryer.. could be worse.  Well, it'll be worse soon enough I guess...

Arrangements made for delivering final timecard, nothing left but to remove all the work email links and collect references. Then the real work begins, getting remote work in to make living money.

But not until next year, I soooo need a break!

Now back to reinstalling sample libraries for my software musical instruments...

...yeah I have a big glass jug I fill and put in the fridge as well as a stainless steel sports bottle I can take with me. If I'm going to pay for a beverage, it better have caffeine, chocolate, natural flavourings (with no HFCS), or alcohol in it.

When I lived in Olympia Wa I always wondered why anyone would choose bottle of tapwater "imported" from another state over the natural artesian springwater which you could get from your kitchen tap there.

..yeah we can't get booze delivery here (could in Wisconsin).  However, with a "boozateria" just across the street, not going to complain.

Delayed the final upgrade until next month when I get a second system up and running so I can get in the Net if any troubleshooting is required.

Just ordered 2 bottles of bbq sauce, and one jar of medium salsa verde.  Set for weeks now!

Non-complaint: fridge full of food.  Mostly meat, cheese, veggies.  Morning Thunder tea arrived, now have 5 flavors of tea! :)

5 flavours.   is that actually flavoured teas or different varieties of tea.   I have Earl Grey (standard) and Earl Grey (International Blend) also Darjeeling, Peppermint and Christmas teas.

There are some food names I can't read now without smiling, such as Darjeeling and Anchovy.
I've watched "Girl und Panzer" too many times, if that's even possible. (No, it isn't.)

It got to 62F here today!  Confusing.  I have to look at my smartphone to see the temperature to decide which jacket to wear if I'm going out.  If it keeps this up, things will start growing again!   laugh

I buy distilled water for $.97 a gallon, half fill a drink bottle and lay it in the freezer on it's side.
Take it out when I need it, fill it with refrigerated water, and I've got cold drinks for a looong time.
Distilled water doesn't build up scale in a coffeemaker, either.

I got great news.  Well great news I feel like.  Friday I am getting a used 64 bit Laptop.  It should work better than my current laptop.  It is from Daddy.  He has Ubuntu on it but I think I will put windows on it so I can run my favourite DS and Poser software.  It should also run Zbrush and Photoshop which I have not played since my last 64 bit computer died.

I also saw that HExagon has a beta, does that mean it will be updated soon?  So excited about possibilities.

I was thinking of doing 3D figurines for Christmas presents, but it looks like it will cost a hundred dollars per figurine if I choose to paint it myself.   Uggghhh and that is not including the cost of paint and paint brushes, ect.

i been going fleecy throw blankets this year.  warms everybody, buppies love em.

So do kitty cats.    The smaller of my two keeps scrunging my fleece into a nice cuddly cat bed.

Thursday and a brisk 50f out, so the window is only open a crack right now.  Last day of the contyract so just cleanup and fiddly bits before I hit the virtual door.

Football tonight, and I have beer! Tempted to send out for pizza, just because.  Party party!

Turned off all alarms on the phone, for the next week or so I'll sleep as late as I need to.  Heh.

NNQ sauces should arrive today or tomorrow, so it'll be bbq all weekend.  Yum!

Wow! Whomever mentioned strawberries as low sugar was right!!! 0.6 grams of sugar per berry, so now I have a tasty fruit I can safely eat!  Thanks to whomever posted strawberries!

Will need to head to the pharmacy soon to pick up meds, Icy Hot, and some kind of chip for dipping.  BBQ sauce and salsa out for delivey, oh boy!!!  Also sausage gift pack from Amazon should arrive today or tomorrow, so I'll be well-fed if nothing else.

Emails, more emails, emails about emails, so many loose ends to tie up after over a year of work,  What a bother, but it'l billable hours so I should just shut up...
