    It's Daz's implementation of the surfaces parameters. Benita for Victoria 8 is one of the finest, most photorealistic, tastefully detailed skins in Daz history, second only to Darius 6, imo. Divamakeup has done some settings on Victoria and Lucas that look quite good; so, it's Daz's issue.

    I get good results on the base G8F.  It's the other characters that tend to turn orange.  Is DT planning an update to NGS2 to account from some of these color shifts and Dual Lobe settings?  I hope so.  Because it makes just about everything in G3 look good.  G8 has been more hit and miss with the same shaders.

    I really liked the deal as a buyer of MQ7 and MQ6 pro packs.  The discount was enough to make me snap her up this time.  I did a lot more mental debating over the other characters.  I loved the Voodoo outfits in the MQ6 pack.  Some updates to those might be nice.

    @ALLIEKATBLUE, maybe the eye bags would give her away, but that is not like putting very different morphs under Darius 6 or Monique 7 and seeing Darius 6 or Monique 7 no matter who was underneath. I find the same phenomenon with Mei Lin 7: Whatever character I put underneath, they look Asian, or I see Mei Lin 7. It may just be that Monique 8 is so new to me, but your new girl looks Sri Lankan, and I would not think Monique at all. Thanks for the render. I'll be glad when my marathon render finishes.

    @xyer0 M8 does have a "look". Here she is with a morph I put together with a V4 face and some growing up morphs added.  This is the base M8 skin with some make-up using Extreme Closeup: Makeup for Genesis 3 Female and eyes using Project EYEray

    Beautiful, very classy looking! 

    What is that dress and belt?  Love those!

    some great renders in this thread.

    it's official, Monique is the figure to get me started using G8, LOL. I was relunctant since I really was heavily invested into G3 and happy with what I had. I even bought Victoria 8 and a few hairs and clothing on sale for when i did decide to use her and then along came Monique (and Imani!!!) and my will crumbled. Finally installed DS4.10, installed the G8 figures, my sparse G8 content. Used the Singular Blues script to bring over a few of my custom and Genx morphs to G8 and now I have a good starting point.

    I really like what they have done with Monique 8 and especially love the Imani skin. Here is my first render with G8, Monique, Imani and a few other morphs thrown in the mix.

    @ALLIEKATBLUE Thanks. I saw that when it came out, and I got thrown off by the morph and the hyper normal map on the breasts. I didn't consider the skin on its own merits. You do such lovely work with it, as usual.

    Gorgeous renders, everyone! I finally was able to buy her and am downloading her now. Hoping to be able to play with her later. We've got sick people here.

    OT: 

    @deathbycanon I am having a lot of crashes with 4.10 also. It seems to happen more with bigger scenes that drop to CPU. From the logs, it looks like some kind of memory allocation issue. I'm getting ready to shift to a more powerful computer and am hoping that fixes it, as my main one right now is over 5 years old and rebuilt. I had to give up on a really good render last night and head to bed because the crashes became too much to deal with on top of everything else.

    Thanks all, much appreciated. the more I play with Monique and G8 in general, the more I like. Didn't expect to spend my Sunday inside DS, but oh well, LOL.

    Laverne is such a knockout. I think she's my favorite of the Monique characters. And that Pascale Hair! Wow! I love AprilYSH's hairs, but this one has got to be my new favorite.

    Here is my first try with her. I love the subtle expression, and the stance. All of this straight out of the box, just a little post work.

    Thanks, all! I'm up wayyy too late playing with her. Monique 8 is fabulous! Here she is teaming up with Giuseppe for a Miami Vice 2018 thing. I think they could give Crockett and Tubbs a run for the money.

    I get this to in similar poses - Turning of Mesh Smoothing seems to fix it though

    oh thanks for that that fixed it thanks would think smoothing on wouldn't do that and instead fix things like that
