Careful folks, I just got home from work and was checking my monique order and I got over charged by quite a bit. Heads up in case anyone else was, might want to check your orders as $94.00 WAS NOT what was listed during my transaction on any screen during check out, Daz or Paypal. My paypal account DOES show I was tapped for $94.

Sales Support ticket - looks as if it forgot who you were and removed the discounts from PC+

Not sure but this is not good, not good at all. Daz wants to do store credit all the time and this has to go back to my bank account. Have bills to pay shortly. Bad enough this could take up to a few days to resolve, +3 for paypal alone. Not good.

That really sucks. :( I'm sorry the order got screwed up. I've seen several people lately posting about getting overcharged so Daz really has an issue they need to work out. I suspect it has something to do with the same issue that makes the cart total fluctuate so much. I sometimes have to refresh the cart 2 or 3 times to get the PC+ discounts to show up in the cart. Then if I add or remove an item often times the cart prices jump WAY up and I have to refresh the cart page again to get the right prices to show up. It seems to have trouble syncing the cart with the correct prices.

Seeing several people lately get overcharged strengthens my resolve to ONLY pay for things with store credit.

LOL, I still haven't gotten my moneys worth with Monique 7 yet crying

thats because they always came out with her at the end of a life cycle...finally she's in the first few months. I'm shocked!

First monique for me, nice I'll get the backlog of moniques I never got before. Normally I would already have plenty of darker skinned characters by the time monique came out so I never bothered. Glad they switched it up.

I hope it comes with a free Monique7 Pro bundle as I've been wanting that for a while... laugh

Thats one of the things that sold me on it :) Pretty good deal.

EDIT: I totally forgot to add the free ones to cart at first. So I had to do a second order...Daz Support will fix me up as always. One reason I shop here time to time is the support for sales is really good.

We're actually getting Monique & Darius early this time? Awesome! :)

    Seriously, I was floored...

Is it just me or do the makeup options not actually do anything?  The Iary versions, that is.  Just checkrd and the 3Delight versions work fine (using LIE)

Simon, some of the newer makeup options don't show up in the preview window but do render. It's confusing at times! I haven't bought her yet, so I can't tell you for sure, but that's my guess as to what's going on.

From what I can see the lips, for example, undergo no changes (no alteration of maps or colours) with the application of any of the makeuip options.

It's that garbage "Diffuse Overlay" setting. So the makeup only shows up when you render. It's super annoying.

Couldn't resist when I saw the Strike Back outfit and the Elite Racer:

Really didn't need any of this stuff, but the deal was just too good to pass up (especially since the only things I owned out of the 6/7 bundles were Monique 6 and the Aether outfit). Lots of cool hairs, and am I the only one that has been gobbling up all of the cars over the last month?

Niiiiiice! I love our NPR renders! That perpective came out really cool too.

And you're definitely not the only one to gobble up the cars. I bought three of them and I rarely render cars. lol Hopefully the new purchases will inspire me to start though. :)

  • I usually don't buy female models, but Monique was really lovely, AND I got the previous two pro bundles for free, AND I weedled the price down even further with a couple of low cost Debut Releases.  So I'm really happy.

Algovincian has created an awesome algorithm/script that creates really beautiful non-photoreal renders. It's... it's amazing: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/54697/non-photorealistic-renders-npr/p1

She looks a bit different among the various promos on the base page. Some angles, she reminds me of Steph 8. Other angles, Billie from Supernatural. And, at least one pic a bit like Rupaul. I guess as long as I don't use that lighting, angle and makeup in the 3rd. The lighting really does make a difference on the photo quality. Some of the renders selll the product well. Others just make it look meh. Too artificial and plasticy. Some of those renders do look really nice, though. Miranda Hair would be really nice hair for dforce.

hahah Well I'm wrapping up a young girl character to submit to Daz, so I'm trying to stay out of "pinup mode" for a while. I'm trying to get into tween girl mode and get into that mind set - at least until I get her promo images done. lol

Sooo Nice!!! And Affordable! I hope the sale last to friday so I can get the Pro Bundle!

When I see this character an 80's song come to mind. "Back to lifeeee, back to realityyyyy".

Great job Daz, on the realism with this character!

72% off? On release day? Why? Victoria, Teen Josie, Stephanie, Olympia, Michael were nowhere near this percentage off. Is this the new price for future characters? Aiko, Rune, Lilith, Sunny, Gia.....etc

  • Anyone know which braid hair is that? I didn't found the add-on

    its this hair

Probably has to do with PC+ and the Platinum Club sale.

  • no exclusiveoffers for me by the looks of it only have 6 7 bases and few other bits BUT still pretty good deal if I get Monique 8 pro she is only $38.87 which in Australian is #53.07 + Monique 6 and 7 pro bundles free I'm liking what daz has been doing offering previous pro bundles for free when new version is released regardless whether I have them or not that is pretty cool of them to do that and even if I already do own them I wouldn't begrudge others that don't and from what I've seen those that do have any of the previous pros do get an extra discount just a little note pc members if you claim any pro bundles as a bonus do not use your daz $6 coupon you will not get full $6 off as it'll split it up over the new pro bundle and whatever free pro bundle you cart even though they are free it'll only knock off $2-$4 but if your only getting the new one you'll get that full $6 off

oh and if you add any of the new addons you can either get it to equal the same price still or slightly less or more give or take for example adding casual dayz will drop the price by around $1 and you basicly get another freebie

picked up the pro bundle and added add ons casual dayz and strike back outfit textures as well dropped price even further so got 2 pro bundles and 2 new items basicly for free plus the new pro bundle even cheaper still at $36.45 in Australian that's $49.60 pretty sweet deal from daz again

On a side note, I do hope this foretells a new trend for DAZ with getting the ethnic characters first rather than an endless parade of similar white girls.  Hopefully Darius, Mei Lin and Lee will get the same priority treatment this time around.

There has already been a mention of Mei Lin 8 as a fitment for the recent Bedhead Hair, so perhaps she is on her way soon.

ja .its been mentioned ..bough the pro bundle..free 6/7 had none of thos eitems..two other things and got $436 worth of product for $36 .... it is all real good.

    installing her now.

oh dear. I love this Monique and I was SERIOUSLY considering making this my first G8 character/pro pack. but.... I have most of the 6 Pro pack (starter, I think) and the 7 pro pack for Monique. And I've been talking myself out of Mei Lin 7 for months (but not letting myself buy anything that would devalue her Pro pack...) So... maybe it'll be a Mei Lin triumvirate for (after?) Christmas... But Monique is SO pretty and all her characters are also so pretty. Darn it!

  • I couldn't afford her, though with getting 6/7 pro for free. I just couldn't resist. I bought too much this month. LOL! I hope this sale is over soon. I may go broke. Those 2.99 Build your own bundles are stacking up.  smiley

I haven't bought a Build Your Own Bundle, but the rest of your post could have been written by me. It seems that the best I can promise myself at the moment is that I'm never going to buy anything here again until next time!

I can stand to lose some weight ... it will be easy now that I'm broke. Yikes, it adds up fast smiley And this sale isn't over yet.

Thanks for the laugh. I was saving money for Monique, but I had spent most of it. Fortunately, since I owned 6 & 7, the Pro Bundle was cheap enough with stacking for me to get the extra textures and characters I wanted. Would have been nice to get the Monique 7 HD Add-on at such a discount, though. I'll have to wait until Darius arrives, 'cause I'm out of funds.

This has to be the craziest month of sales I have seen since I join here back in 2003. :)

It could also be.  the first year I actually had a little money to spend in the last 14 years.

Yes, having almost gone blind trying to 'spot the difference' it is that setting.
