Morphing Fantasy Dress issue - anyone else?

Figured I could use the dress as the starting point for me to start using G8F. Well I hit the wall almost immedately and wonder if anyone else is seeing this same problem.
When I put the dress on the base figure, it looks just fine but when I dropped a few morphs on it and that's when I came up with some problems.
The right hip appears to stick out. I immediately went and tried other outfits, starting with the base outfits and saw it was just fine then went with Lilfame, OOT, even the G3F autofit outfits all turn out fine. It only happens with certain morphs with the MFD and even with the last one it's kind of close and iffy. The first two are from here at Daz and the last one is by Silver over at that other site.
Is anyone else seeing this? Call it in as a problem?

They're definitely G8 characters you are using the G8 version of the MFD on, right? Only asking cos wtih the shrink wrap around the breasts and that bad issue on the skirt, it looks like autofitting the G3 version to G8. Wow.
I don't have the G3F MFD...was there one? To be honest I was too stubborn to move up from G2.
LOL yes there was. Well hopefully others who have the same problem can confirm it's not just you.
I've seen that when using a geograft available from 'that otehr shop'.
.
the names of the morphs are the names of the images. I'll try a reload of the outfit and if all else fails dump and flush g8f from the content and data folder. Any other outfit I apply to the figure appear just fine, it's just this one outfit that takes a dive to the side.

Silver has a girl for G8F called Sydney also - it's at the other site.
I can't see the original images in the OP's first post for some reason - so I can't tell if it's def. Silver's Sydney or not.
.
I've got her...but I don't have the MFD for G8 yet. LOL
The images have disappeard from Shadowhawk's post so I can't tell if it's her or not.

The Morphing Fantasy Dress does not properly autofit. Something goes wrong when the waist-to-hip ratio is not "perfect".
It has issues with small/thin body type like Willa, Moxie, Danny, etc.
For the other figures, the hip area will either protrude either to the left or right. It's not as bad as the problem above but you could still notice this.
For Olympia 8, pokethrough occurs at right hip.
A possible fix is to increase the number of smoothing iterations (at least 20). The attached image is Moxie wearing the MFD with default smoothing (2) on the left and 20 on the right.
Having checked there does eem to be 'interesting ssues. on the right hand hip/leg with certain motphs. I randomly dialled in various full-body morphs and was 'amused' by what the dress did!
We'll look into this :)
I had the same problem Jaki, and I had to go back to the commons and click the thread to see them. Not sure what is going on with that.
I just filed a bug report on this as well. Thanks Jack.
I turned the dress 50% transparent and tried the dial-tweaking and it look slike (I am NO expert!) the adjustment morphs on the right hip/leg are moving in the wrong directions - in for 'wider' morphs, and out for thinner.
The bug report is 254177 if that helps
oh that worked! I see them now. Sheesh, even aside from the obvious hip issues, that dress really looks like a bad fit on all of them.
I am begining to wonder if this isn't something that they just didn't refit the G3 MFD to work with G8, none of the other MFD's had the saran wrap breasts like this one does.
This also occurs for me with the G3F version, usually with shorter figures such as Teen Princess Leila or characters based on Mika or The Girl. On the G8F version, I can trigger it just by dialling in the Thin or Emaciated morphs.
Does it have the saran wrap look with morphs made by Daz3d? Such as your major shape releases (Daz FBMs or characters likeVicky, Steph, Thorne's Eroticized Teen 8), or does it only do saran wrap for third party morphs (morphs that might be made by a Daz PA but which aren't major Daz releases?).
I always thought the expectation was that the Plat Club clothing would work well on major Daz figures, but it seems unrealistic to think that all possible shapes would be supported (I can't imagine it looks good on my hedgehog).
The first two mophs I posted of the problem are g8f morphs from here at Daz.
To clearify...the name mentioned in the file name is the name of the morph/character, as I said in the first post, only the last one is from that other site, and it is a morph/character from Silver and it is sort of okay as you can see.
...was considering the bundle but putting it off after seeing this thread since I often work with fairly petite characters.
Haven't seen it on the G3F one though then havent tried it to fit it to my teen characters yet.
The only female "8" figure I have purchased is Teen Josie 8, so I cannot test the dress with other "8" females, however, It appears the issue is with the Teen Josie body morph. I tested first with Willa, and then with Paisley, both characters using TJ in their shape.
Select the character. In the Shaping tab, click on Currently Used. Dial Teen Josie 8 Body to 0%. The distortion goes away.
As you would expect from this information, Teen Josie 8 displays the most distortion in the MFD, which goes away when you dial her Body morph to 0%.
I'd like to agree but it looks to be the dress. the attached image is Godin's River from Rendo.
The requirements for the figure are: G8F (Naturally) and then Genesis 8 Female Head Morphs, Genesis 8 Female Body Morphs. nothing else.
I'm glad you started this thread. I was going to buy it but I'll put it off until they get the bugs worked out.
As I mentioned, I only have Teen Josie 8 in the new generation. I can verify the dress looks fine on the base G8F. And I do not have the head or body morphs. I can only report what I found. But that's not saying I think TJ8 is the only figure with the problem. Only that I was able to isolate her as the issue with Willa and Paisley. I think that information is important to Daz in helping them determine what is the issue and getting it fixed.
ha ha! check it out on Olympia 8! Poke thru, ridge on the lower abdomen, shrink wrapped breasticles and veering very close to M4's good ol' bowling ball shoulders.
No lights so O8 looks as ghastly as always, just quick to show the bad fitting.
