I'll add the same thing in here as I have in the MO forum.. please remember the sale is a month long thing!  There is literally something new every day.. :)

Is there going to be a better discount on the membership? Or at least a dicount on the three month instead of only discounting the year memebership?

I concur. Not everyone has the coin or the motivation to get an annual membership (unless that has 40 to 50% discount on it). I understand the push to annual, but let's be realistic. Now, if the 3-month had a 25-30% discount on it, that would be something, especially to new people just coming in.

It's also not completely clear if current members are excluded from today's offer.

  • It would be hard to be faster than Pose Blender. You literally load one pose onto the character, load the second pose onto the character, load the script and adjust a slider to taste.

You're right, I was remembering the situation where you're blending a pose from one character to another with pose blender. If you just load two poses then run the script puppeteer is one click slower but with the advantages that it's free, the window can be an easily accessible workspace tab, you can blend as many poses as you want at the same time, AND you can "reverse" poses onto each other by dragging past the limits which cannot be done with pose blender AFAIK.

Well, the other reason is: I went and found the Puppeteer pane and remembered it is supposed to work in Preview mode and selected my character and... had no idea or instruction what to do next. Had a grid that said 'layer,' but no instructions. I've only ever used Puppeteer for Breast Control (which is of course a purchased product) so I've no experience using it in any way and Daz Keeps Its Secrets Well. However! As I said above, I'm sure Pose Blender is only aimed at the uneducated like myself, and thanks to the magic of forums, I like Riversoft Arts enough that I don't begrudge her the cost.

Thank you for the reassurance, Jack. I'm looking forward to the other parts of the sale and I only have two things in the Megapack, so woot!

Unlike a lot of DS features there is a lot of direction on how to use puppeteer if you google search it. However, it's quite short enough to explain here. Make sure puppeteer is in edit mode (it starts this way). Load a pose and click the window to add a dot which is like a record of that pose. Load another pose and add another dot. Switch to preview mode, and you can drag around the window to move between poses.

I also like RSA but when someone asks if they should buy something for budget reasons I will obviously point out the free and equally simple solution that exists when I know of one.

It seems to give the 30% discount when added to my cart but I don't need this at $50 as I still have 6 Months left

<nod> I've still got until the end of the year myself, so I'm in no hurry.

I am currently a member, and I can get 30% off with a debut item in the same cart. Just try it, and you'll see. You don't have to pull the trigger to see the total.

Nice! Thank you for the explanation. Very fun. I see you can add further poses as well. Can it also do the selective node adjustments? Where I can just move the arms or the hands or a single leg or whatever?

Has anyone scrolled down to the very bottom of the page? When I do, I get to scroll through the sales a second time. I've tried doing a ctrl+F5 refresh to clear the cache, but I'm still getting two instances of the page, one after the other... Weird.

Other than that, the sale seems to be starting off with a ... whimper!

    Sales Banner, 10-16-2017

    • Bigger discounts on new releases

Last year, "Absolution" was released at $4.79. The non-member price is $32.95. This year, Purgation is released at $4.19. The non-member price is $18.95. Last week, Pony Knots for G8F was released at $3.49. The non-member price is $19.95.

Last year, PA new releases were 40% to members instead of 30%. This year, they are 37% to members instead of 30%.

    • Daily Spotlight & Newly PC+ items up to 60% off

Daily Spotlight is about the same as in the PA sale, but with a Debut release required. The newly PC+ could be a good deal for new members; for me I either already have it, or I still don't want it. (At least that's not failing to meet the hype.)

    • Increased member perks

Could you be more specific? So far, I'm not tempted to renew...

    • Free bundles and products

Okay, this is same as before. No complaints here.

    • & More

Again, can you be more specific?

But hey, everyday Daz disappoints me is another day my money stays in my wallet. (Or to be accurate, my Store Credit.)

So for that, I must say, "Thank you, Daz." Maybe that credit really will last through the end of the year, as planned!

If you're talking about membership pricings, I too would consider a 30% discount on 3-month memberships fair, as both the annual and quarterly memberships were half-priced last year.

It's optimised for VR headsets :)

Interesting. Is this the first time the sales page has been optimized for VR headsets? Or is it just a glitch this time that made it viewable twice. (Just curious. Not really an issue.)

Jack, you're getting too cryptic. Is that age, or have you been working too long on Purgation? (Sorry, couldn't resist)

Jack, are you checking all the possible meanings of 'purgation' in the dictionnary? I thought it was just another of your jokes.

Yes, you just do it by loading a partial pose. For example if you only want to blend an arm, load your base pose and save it, then select the shoulder and control click the new pose, choose to apply to selected nodes recursively, it'll apply only to the one arm, then you can blend between them.

You shout down at your wife? Careful Jack, I learned fairly recently that we males may be a minority group here. Don't start any trouble now.
