Thanks, Rogerbee! Looking at so many of the great renders in this thread makes me want to get into learning the 3Delight render engine in DS a bit more. So many possibilities and so little time!! :)
Actually, it's not too bad. The one thing I would suggest is to adjust the specular strength so that she's not too shiny. One of the things to note about my render is that I'm using the Interjections package which includes subsurface scatter maps. The presets allow you to easily change the settings depending on preference. I can't emphasize enough how much of a difference it makes to the final image.
Bree is a great figure, as she comes with her own subsurface maps as well, which lends a lot of strength to her overall realism. You might need to tweak some of the settings manually in order to get the best results, but the defaults are pretty solid. I confess that I've used her SS textures on a range of figures.

No worries,
For a long time I was a diehard Poser user, then I decided to give DS another go. In hours I was doing renders the like of which it had taken me years not to do with Firefly. I was floored! Poser was binned and it's DS all the way for me!

CHEERS!
I've just remembered where I've seen that style before, it was Air's Moon Safari.
...OK time for a little dose of "Realistic Not" again.
A WIP attempt at a character I really love.
Very nice!
CHEERS!
...thank you. Loved the film and the character.
Was it the girl from Brave!?
CHEERS!
...well an initial attempt done in several hours over a couple evenings that was inspired by Wancow's Princess Belle thread. Unfortunately as my modelling skills are no where near his, I have to rely on existing content. The hair is a real pain for nobody has created anything that comes close so I ended up "meshbashing" April YSH's Amarseda and Osean Hairs.
Looks like she is my next project as I've received a request to open a WIP thread.
Here is another one, this time with the hair. I wanted to see what would happen if I went with higher settings and the hair. What happened was a 14 hour render! I think it looks decent, but if I use Ubersurface and turn off the RT and AO on the hair, I still get decent results, closer to 40 minutes.
I'd like to see another texture rendered with those shaders. I've never been blown away by Bree, I think there are better V4 textures around that may benefit more from the Interjection shaders.

Thanks. I'm sure you are right, and I have several other textures that I prefer. I am using Bree here because it has a no eyebrows option, and I plan to do several renders with the character with several different hair styles and characters.
Has it been definitively proven that LDP2 won't work in DS4.5?
Great work as usual
CHEERS!
No it dont but apparently LDP1 does never tried them. Perhaps Kyoto has? As you know I mostly Luxrender but am starting to play with 3Delight again just in case I may need them in the future one issue with Lux is if you load too many characters sometimes it wont go one needs to hide ALL unseen parts and even then it could get dicey...
The robot pic was suppose to be for a contest but decided to withdraw it when I noticed that one of the terms were to give Daz the rights to it...

I was also using the Interjections package.
I'll reduce the Specular and give it another go.
Thanks for the feedback!

Do a render without the background then we can really see what's going on with the skin.

Done! Reduced specular, removed background, increased resolution.

oldie but a goodie
Looks like an LDP2 render
Back to regular programming

Hmm,
I might stick with Lantios sets for the time being. If V1 of Garibaldi Hair hadn't come out I might have got a few.
CHEERS!
Nothing wrong with that I have them as well There is also some good free UE lights on share
that was done with light dome
Yeah I recognize it I did many renders with it a few years back
