You know, I have to apologize to the folks talking about what beauty really is, and will get on the program with rendering true icons of attractive glamor. I don't know what I was thinking about 'the beauty of the natural' or art or any of that nonsense.

From now on I will pursue perfection in female subjects, without any of that ickiness from age or being born in the wrong part of the country or lesser peoples.

Looks like the transition from monsters and dragons to females didn't go quite smoothly...

I'd make a Margaret Keane joke but I suspect most here wouldn't get it

(and I'm joking because I had to look her up to get the name)

...I remember her art.  A couple works of hers are hanging in this one kitschy bohemian pub I go to.

...and yes, that image of yours...well, may need to go there for a couple pints of "brain bleach" so I can sleep tonight.

Haven't have much inspiration for doing renders lately, but I did manage to finish this one I started months ago.

And on a lighter note, giant snake.

I'm actually contemplating, now, whether my first big project might not be better directed at dragons. Hmm. Maybe a lindwyrm and serpentine option, some cool textures... Might be a decent focused project (my other projects gestating are a suite of 'odd props' and another pass at procedural shaders, but I'm debating which will make a more obvious marketable thing)

Yesterday evening went something like this for me...

    • Post on forum thread with the view that attractiveness is about more than being young and perfect-looking.
    • Spot Gianni 7 in Fast Grab and decide he might make the gypsy boy I need. If not, I've got a coupon left and so at that price he'll at least make a decent background character. Remove his eyebrows, add fibremesh brows and body hair and a bit of 24k gold gypsy bling. Hit 'render'.
    • Observe results, wonder where he's been all my life and conclude that I'm probably quite shallow after all :)

Inspired by the latest dragons, I think I'm going to come up with my own stuff.

Early results are promising... this is one of the morphs, with the Raptor texture (when I'm happy with the morph I'll make some dedicated textures for it)

Just have to figure out how to do a good rainbow serpent. ;)

Think I would buy that as a morph to DAZ Dragon 3...

    That's my intent. ;)

Cool, I like it. Hope it comes with various textures.

This is inspired by something I read about tiny fruit eating dragons

My Wyrm morph for Daz Dragon 3. Skin is standard dragon, adapted to Iray.

I could, of course, tweak stuff (horns, head shape, etc,), but showing the basic nature of it

Crystal dragon + Wyrm morph. Works decently!

Whoa! How did you get rid of the limbs and stuff?

    Very carefully!

The spot where the rear legs went poof is more visible here; it'll look better once I make actual textures designed around it. But still...

(It also looks good with wings, but properly speaking a lindworm has two front legs and nothing else)

Note that the head shape and a number of other details are from other morphs, mine shapes the tail and back legs.

Really liking the new Crystal Dragon.  I did replace the shaders on his crystals with a diamond shader for this shot though.

thanks, I was very happy with the way they turned out.  I'm running another one tonight when I go to bed using the original shaders, with just two minor tweaks to them that I think, judging from my spot renders, are going to look pretty nice as well.

And here is my newest with Crystal Dragon, using the original shaders.

I'm so impressed by the quality of everyone's work here!  I hope everyone is proud of what they share here because you all should be!!

I've posted some of my renders in other threads but I always forget to post anything here so I thought I'd make an entrance with this one I'd finished yesterday because I was quite happy with the final effect I got from the render and postwork.

I love seeing everyone's work and enjoy the community here immensely, now my next step is to stop lurking and become a active part of it so I can share, learn and grow with you all.  smiley

    Peace and Love,

    Stuart

Great first post to the Iray thread, and great lighting!

Got an idea (the first render) and then it kinda evolved into five renders.
