Hey divamakeup, that looks fantastic!! Just for laughs mess around with the toenail shapes as well...you can find them on the good ol'intnernet of course. I am messing around with the fingers now, but I find them to be more realistic out of the box than the feet. I have to wait for HD morphs because I can't seem to get Normal Maps to show up with the specular material in Octane. Nice job!
Nice skin & lighting in the renders indeed.
But I still see
Shrink wrapped breasts and late 1990's early 2000's "poser "hair.
until that part of the DAZ technology moves into the 21 st century
I shall remain unimpressed.
On the G8 figure itself
it seems that G3+ addons set a really high Standard this time.
Maybe in a year when all of Zev0's products are updated
and there is a reasonable replacement for GENX
then G8 will actually be on par with its predecessor.
At this point it is like buying the exact same model car
you had two years ago with slightly better windshield wipers
and congratulating one's self for successfully
manually refitting the old cup holder, Wheel, and Seat covers to the "New" Vehicle.

Found the Photographer! (At least it looks like you are, as your lighting is outstanding!) BTW, if you are you guys are my heroes!
Raw Honey looks nice, too - https://www.daz3d.com/honey-for-genesis-8-female
What texture did you use for the feet in your pic? A custom one? Did you use something off the DAZ store as a base?
I'm loving V8, as well. EASILY the best out-of-the-box figure I've seen out of DAZ in my short near-4 years of using it!
I second the notion!
Agree, until one notices that the eyebrows are fake.
+1
Hi Etheral, I used the V8 texture with my Octane Render Material.
Hey Guys,

I am wondering how to fix this issue with Genesis 8 and the new eyelashing system.
As you can see there is a white basis which looks like an eyeliner at first...but it is the basis of the eyelashes.
Any ideas how to get this fixed ?
Thanks for your insight
Best regards.
Check to make sure it has a shader applied. It is perhaps possible that it is the angle of the camera to the light source and the those surfaces, but doubt it.
The white is the Eye Moisture material. That and the cornea, are attached to the eyelashes mesh. I feel they probably should have kept the first two as part of the head, but I guess they had their reasons.

Edit: oops sorry...it's only the eye moisture that's part of the eyelashes mesh. The cornea remains part of the head I guess. The eye moisture is the tear at the bottom of the eye that lies on the lower eyelid edge. Make it a water shader and it won't be so "white".
Thanks all for your replies <3
I found my issue...it was related to preferences !
I unchecked "Try to map Geo Graft replacement materials internally" and it disapeared :)
Here is a screen with EJ Vera
How are ya'll making these feet? They are spectacular! I hate G8 feet
I see. Thanks!
I created a combination out of Victoria 8's skin and the veins and moles overlays from Mackenzie and and it looks amazing. No postwork.
Now what is the most realistic hair to use?
Very nice render.
I quite like these hairstyles.

Here's the nail removers for gen8f
consider them the beta* version
* if I were doing them again I'd make the filled hole one bigger all round as it is they represent the nail bed, but that means they have a bit of a ridge, and since you can't export it out as a whole, making a morph for it would have required way more effort. They're definitely not perfect, but still pretty functional. I'll probably stick them on sharecg at some point, but, honestly, I'd have to render an image for them and I just... eh
