Hmm, i am getting the same - with apurely Connect install.
See attached files...
OK, for Connect try this: uninstall, close DS, restart DS, log in, and reisntall - I don't know if there was bad metadata that has just been fixed but Genesis 8 Female is now loading for me. For DIM it might need a redownload if this is a metadata issue.
So here's an update thus far ..not that I heard from daz. The essentials package is working the morphs are there, Victoria 8 is still not working, the nail files for Raw Arts Honey do not work the shaders do not work on the antennas. I am sure there will be more but I'm done with it for today.Worst roll out ever .Shame on you Daz.
I had that problem - installed via the smart connect. I had to uninstall G8 essentials then reinstalled it - it was fine after that.
DIM uninstall/reinstall does not fix the problem...
Seems to be a problem with Genesis 8 Female Starter Essentials!
uninstall/reinstall via CONNECT of Genesis 8 Female Starter Essentials DID work ;-)
Did you actually redownload?
Yes, DIM redownloaded...
BUT as i mentioned uninstall/reinstall via CONNECT of Genesis 8 Female Starter Essentials DID work ;-)
So the problem was definitely a corrupt Genesis 8 Female Starter Essentials...
Now Genesis 8 Female and Victoria 8 work fine...
I guess the communication between CONNECT and DIM does not work properly...
Victoria 8. I purchased the Pro bundle. Not shore if the Daz update has made things worse but the quallity is terrable,
So, just to make sure:
Not sure this will help, but what the heck. I had this exact same problem - grey blocks instead of Victoria 8, and a few error messages as well on load. Ran DIM, could not find Genesis 8 in the downloads list. So I closed Daz Studio, and DIM, and then downloaded the latest copy of DIM. Then, the Genesis 8 stuff appeared. Downloaded everything, and Victoria 8 started to behave herself. So my conclusion: make sure your copy of DIM is the very latest. FYI, I'm running on Mac Sierra...
And you have the latest version of Daz Studio
I had the same problem Vitoria 8 was blocks. How I fixed it was; I updated Daz and the installer. Then I went to the installer and searched for the essentials pack, I had to uninstall it and then in the down loads there was the updates for V8 and what I needed. I then downloaded and installed them.
@Cris Palomino "You must be using the 4.9.4.111 version of Daz Studio. This should be installed first."
Cris, is that a typo? Did you mean 4.9.4.117?
Probably, but someone else gave her the wrong number I know cos I was there
Yep, I corrected it.
Cridgit got feedback from CS and it worked for them: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/2536146/#Comment_2536146
I recently installed Daz Studio 4.9, I have not done may renders over the last couple of years and now trying to get back into it. Anyhow everything worked great installed and played around with the tutorials and new Genesis 8. Everything was working fine.
Last night I decided to buy Vic 8 Pro Bundle no issues even created a quick picture and let it render, just playing around. Then I got to looking and realized it did not download the other content with the pro bundle so I went through and let them download and install while I was watching tv. Now when I open Daz Studio I get the below screen shot and it says that the content does not exist. I tried to uninstall Studio and I also tried to unistall reinstall some of the content. (After trying to Studio again.) Neither worked.....................

I know I sound like an IDIOT, but How can I tell which version of DAZ my machine is running? It boots up as "Daz 4.9 Pro". I seriously thought that I had upgraded to 4.9.4.117...
I have searched the Daz Site up and down and can not seem to find a link to Upgrade Daz Studio to 4.9.4.117. I purchased Victoria 8 and she appears as so many blocks like others in this thread. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Genesis 8 Essentials as suggested above to no avail
. I now think my problem is that I am still using Daz Studio 4.9. Can someone please provide a link to the updated/upgraded Daz Studio?? Please

hctilghman, ASFAK the choice to upgrade Studio should be there in DIM on startup, above any Product downloads. I used to ignore that, thinking I had Studio already installed....

THANK YOU
I am using the upgraded program, 4.9.4.117. Back to square one... V8 still looks like a very neatly stacked pile of grey blocks. Maybe I will Uninstall All the V8 stuff and try again and not just the Essentials.
I must away to work
If you installed via Connect there was an issue, fixed on the first day I think, with one of the packs - updating that would have left incorrect metadata for the Genesis 8 Female Starter Essentials. Uninstall Genesis 8 Starter Essentials, close DS, restart DS, and reinstall.
I have the problem with V8 different faces iray-selected :-/ i was updated DS - G8 installed over DIM - after that i installed V8- Tried to
load the different maps in 3Delight- it works perfect- only Iray material presets loads only the base face without eyebrow or makeup
Do you have any idea?
The iray makeups won't show until you render - have you done so?
oooh...thank you Richard...some things can be easy
i was confused because 3delight shows the overlays- iray render shows it in iray....good to know, thank you for your quick help
