Yeah, I think "middle aged" is a typo for Middle Ages/medieval here. or possible Middle Eastern, like someone else said.

I have embraced my midde age (53)
I am 5ft 10" 195 and still wear the same 32 waist size pants I did when I graduated high school 35 years ago.
It pays to exercise and avoid processed sugars

I'm at the tail end of "middle age" at 56.  Folks still think I'm in my early 40's so I get that some folks age much differently than others BUT this guy.. yea, gotta be a typo .... Middle Eastern yes, middle aged, no! No!  and NO!  lol

Ah, M3dia is another slow ager I see.  Can't tell, as the avy is not his face.  Here is me... Picture is about 5 years old... I have more gray now that's about it....

I don't post my photo because the last time I did that I got banned on another site because I wouldn't date the mod. No lie, it was a hot mess... so you just get the rendered avatar. (though there are some pics out there with some pr0n stars I used to hang with but I'm not saying which ones) angel

trust me, Male-M3dia is easy on the eyes.

The big thing is the eyes. There's a lack of some of the slight lines I'd expect even well-preserved men to have.

That said, I'm just amused -- it's trivial to add aging touches.

    I add crow's feet to almost every male I use ;). It's what I'm used to seeing (I'm 52).

The name is Japanese and there is a pretty big Japanese-Brazilian culture with more than a few supermodels (Adriana Lima and Marlon Teixeira are both of partial Japanese origins).  I would have guessed mid 40's in that Johnny Depp 10 years ago look...

I thought it was Japanese; I still remember the syllables from trying to take it way back in my middle ages. Means "courage", according to Google Translate.

In any event, for what it's worth, I like him myself.

"dynasty warrior", yet all of the promo images would make you think otherwise.

Closing in on my mid-40's, I felt really old seeing this guy described as "middle aged". Glad to see I'm not the only one reacting to that choice of words.

Good looking and well made model though.yes

I'm almost 50. I believe it if you're taking care of  yourself. devil Last guy I dated thought I was mid 30's ;)

Age really IS but a number.  Many asian men and women look much younger than their age.  I am 46 and never tire of people being shocked when I tell them my real age and that I have a 22 year old son.  The real issue I have with the description for this character is that the promo images of him is anything but what the description implies.  Perhaps the description should have said "middle aged male model" - that I have no issue with :-)

I don't tend to pay much attention to the chraracter description/ad copy, unless it covers the relevent details about the product such as options. Half the time, I've got my own ideas about what race the character looks or how I will use the chracter, so saying someone is middle-aged or a perky medieval lass is lost on me.  Very seldom has description copy convinced me to buy something, but occasionally it has put me off so I don't WANT to buy something. For example if the ad copy tips me off the character is a character from a popular game, or makes the character sound gross or not to my taste in some way.

I did a quick peak at Wikipedia to see how middle-age is defined: between 45 and 65 years old.  Though he is only 41, this reminded me of the thread: https://www.mumslounge.com.au/lifestyle/celebrities/ryan-phillippe-reveals-the-one-thing-about-him-that-repulses-his-daughter/

It comes down to a matter of taste and maybe where you live. The middle aged guys are holding it up here.. they don't have to be grey and wrinkled to considered middle age; that I have a problem with.

I didn't even read the copy, saw him, my jaw dropped and I threw him into my cart.   He's drop dead gorgeous..age wise I'd put him at mid thirties but I really don't care after playing with him overnight, he's your dream date, a fairytale Prince or fantasy hero, congratualtions Javier, wonderful textures and morphs, a fabulous character :)

When I was a boy, middle age was actually considered over 30 as in between 30 - 60. 0 - 29 is young, 30 - 59 is middle aged or just 'no qualifier', and finally 60 -  89 and older, who knows, 122...older? I've seen very wrinkled people that I didn't think looked old and I've seen smooth faced people I thought looked old so I really don't know how to qualify one's age by looks.

LOL, I can remember visiting a doctor after being thrown off a horse and injuring my hip. Of course anybody would know, I was thrown off a horse and I injured my hip as the doctor should of know since I had just told him but to hear him tell is I was middle aged and in decline and that was the problem. Oh the nurse and I had a good laugh at that one and I went to another doctor eventually.

    Greetings,

Yeah, okay, y'all have shamed me.  I literally didn't read the flavor text, I just put him into my cart. blush My reaction on seeing him sounded something like, 'Growf!' and the momentary anguish, that always hits me when I click 'Add to Cart' on something that has no discount other than the initial sale discount, lasted shorter than usual.

Joking aside, he hits a midrange point that I have sadly few G3M characters that hit; they all seem to be too far in one direction or another.  I get the need to differentiate, but it's hard to say, 'I want the shoulders from THIS guy, but the waist from THAT one, and the legs from this OTHER one.'  Sadly, while Genesis Tech has made many leaps in terms of being able to mix characters, it's still not quite that detailed.  So getting a middle-range character, who hits a lot of what I want out of a DAZ 3D character, and one who fundamentally looks good, is a win. wink

[Edit: And double-shamed, because I didn't realize there was a second page to this thread, or I would have just given a yes to @Allergra's post.]

Looks very much like a slightly younger Russell Brand to me. Brand is early 40s, so maybe a 30-something?

I had my fourth (and last!) child when I was 39 (I'm 52 now) and can still remember reading being described in my notes as an 'elderly multi-gravida'. Not exactly a boost to the spirits when you're feeling like a beached whale and have forgotten what it's like to sleep in anything other than a sitting position. Still, I wouldn't mind being that elderly again!

I think Isamu is quite good-looking really. I was just thrown a bit by the nightie, which looks a lot like a single-sleeved version of a horrific number my mum bought me when I was about twelve. Mine was seemingly indestructible, but looking at the state of his I can see that he's having a bit more luck in that department and will see his off a lot quicker than I managed to do with mine :)

When I was approaching 50, a guy I was flirting with asked me how old I was.  "What's your guess?" I said.  He looked me over.   "Gay standard: 40; straight standard: 30."  A nice compliment and a funny joke all rolled together.  So maybe Isamu is gay-standard middle-aged?

My grannies, aunts, and mother where still having babies up until their late 40s. Congratulations. It's really odd to be described disrepectfully by someone in person, but we both know better at least! Before that doctor acted like that I thought that sort of behavior was only on TV and the occasional bully stalking me on the walk home from school.

I think thar new character is good looking, well modeled, and well the shape of the eyes is what I find most unique about it relative to other DAZ Genesis 3 models. I have no need for another human model. Although due to the eye shape if DAZ ever has a mega-clearance sale I might buy it. Until then it's just odds & ends off my wish-list until Genesis 4 I guess and not too sure I will buy Genesis 4 depending on the tech introduced with it.
