I did buy Dante after all, but not the other ones. I guess I just thought Brett on his own looked too boyish and not quite filled out. More like the millennial who hangs out at the coffee shop with his laptop and earbuds, and Noah was like Dante's little brother..kind of a gym rat, but not quite as big or developed as Dante. I'd have liked to see that they had more to offer as standalone characters, but I have enough of this type of guy already.
Thank you, Odaa! I asked about the Greek God Outfit. Nice pic! Meanwhile, I bought the outfit and was pleased to see that the spikes can be hidden. This makes the set much more versatile.
Can anyone who has both Brett and Ivan show me a mix with Brett at 100% and Ivan at around 50%? I would appreciate it!
I've got one rendering now. (Slowly, as it's on this machine, not the new computer, which isn't on and doesn't have the Dante products installed yet...)

Thanks, everyone! I think you just sold me on Brett without Dante. He looks pretty good with just Ivan. I'll wait to see what L'Adair's render shows. Hopefully, her computer can kick it out by tonight. :)
LOL... I turned on the beast, installed all my new products, set up a new scene and hit render. Three minutes in, it's almost half the number of iterations as the one on this machine, which has been rendering for over an hour! And the image on the beast is actually larger! I'll have something for you soon, but I can definitely recommend Brett with Ivan...
Thanks. Looking forward to seeing it. I have Brett in my cart and haven't checked out yet. I'm still debating a couple of my other choices. I have a couple of things in there I'm anxious to try out so I definitely need to figure out what I'm doing soon so I can play!
Yikes! That reminds me of one of the extra bits from the Lord of the Rings boxed sets; a glitched render of an early version of the Gollum figure had a foot-tall purple mohawk.

Thanks cdpro! I would have totally missed the deal if I didn't read this thread and your post. Funny thing was early in the am I think the discount was lower. For $90 and the extra BB discount on the pro bundle I passed. Then I saw the price lower, and only 24 sumthing with the PC+ daz originals coupon buying a texture pack and the squirrel.
No time to render anything, but want to check out the ugly Dave outfit, I also grabbed the textures for it.

Same as above except the middle Brett uses Leo and Leo HD instead of Ivan/Ivan HD. It also uses Stocky 30% and Height is adjusted as Leo is much taller.

Like him with Leo and Dante's faces....looks kinda "doughy" with Ivan and Leo's bodies. ;)

Well a hairless male with more realistic skin details than Kenji has what persuaded me to buy Brett before the price went up. They're all pretty good though but the other skin textures have much more in common with other characters already released, by that I mean 5 'clock shadow & the like. I have to be more finicky now, as my DAZ Content Library is 160GB! Whoa! In mostly just over a year's time too.
Don't have any pics to show, but Dante did a good job of "toughing up" a character based on Raiya's old M4 creation Samson (dragged kicking and screaming into the Genesis 3 era through the magic of GenX2). I don't know whether it was the skin or the other characters I mixed in, but he came out way prettier and less manly than I remember Samson being, and then 25% Dante on the head fixed that.
The Dante/Awan mix on one of the previous pages will give you some idea of what I'm talking about. I assume he'll work equally well on other super-angular Raiya characters, but don't have enough G3M characters from her to be sure.
Based on my own experiences and the pics in this thread, I think he mixes well with others, unlike Mika, who only plays nice with Victoria and the PA characters Monika and Priya! (Admittedly, I don't own Aiko 7 or Girl 7....)
Thanks, L'Adair! Really great job showing the differences. I love the one with Leo which I didn't even ask for. I do have him, though, and that looks like a good mix. I ended up getting both Brett and Noah. I might pick up Dante at some point, but I just wasn't really crazy about him at the price he is now. Brett and Noah were really the only things about the whole pro bundle I could get excited about. So, I appreciate it very much!
I'm honestly nose sure that Dante is baseworthy. The only thing really distinctive about the character is the head shape. The include characters are pretty standard stuff. I'm not discouraging anyone from buying him but from my perspective I don't see his genetics are really too terribly necessary.
Yeah, those were pretty much my thoughts which was why I kind of forgot about getting him when I had the bundle in my cart. I was more upset at missing the deal than missing out on him. Brett and Noah were they only parts of the bundle I really wanted. I think it worked out the way it should have for me. I didn't get Dante, but I did end up with two characters I liked the looks of that mix well with other characters I already have. I don't think I'll miss not having him.
I'm not sure how many pro bundles I've purchased simply because the deal was just way too good to pass up. As you guys were saying, Dante is okay but nothing to get too excited over, but Brett and Noah look really good. The clothing were so-so for my purposes, but I can always use more generation specific poses, and I liked both hair products, (which isn't usually the case, male or female.) So with the various discounts and my PlatClub coupon, it was a good deal. Plus I bought a discounted GC. All totaled, it was a very good deal.
You're welcome. I decided to include Leo because Dante and Leo have similar eyes. And I like that using the Ivan HD or Leo HD heads add some age to Brett, controlled by how strong you dial in the HD.

I hope this doesn't go against the TOU to post this, I tried to strategically place bones and other body parts on all the "offending" body parts so hopefully I got it all covered good enough that it doesn't get deleted...

I wanted to do a straight up, mostly, render of Dante. Here he is in the Ugly David outfit. He has Buzzed Hair, and Oh My Body Hair (face and arms). Two problems arose: one - the vest didn't fit right. It was sort of floating above his shoulders, the built in morphs didnt help - I'd get poke-through before the shoulder or back morph bought it down enough. I ended up using a D-former. Not major, but annoying. Second: look at the shoulder, I see a mesh pattern there. I almost rememer what causes that.. subdivision?
Anyway, here he is. I'm happy I got the pro bundle - at least at that sale price
