I like the characters for him but I'm less tempted to get him now the price went up again usually Dax keeps the offers up for a few days I know it's a march madness deal so I understand it only being a day but I can wait 3 months to pick him up especially since I haven't even used Mika since I picked her up.
Here's a couple face shots of Mec4Ds Unshaven for G2M, Whiskers for G3M and AprilYSH's Leandros Beard
1. Leandros Beard
2. Mec4D Edge Beard
3. Mec4D Greek Beard
4. Whiskers Goatee
5. Whiskers Heavy Stubble
This is Oh My Body Hair from that other place.
Thanks, Laurie! I'm at work right now, so no rendering for me till later.
Mec4D Arm, Leg and Torso hair for Genesis
Body hair for George. I don't use this because the fibers are too thick and there's no way to thin them or to hide parts that have clothes on them. But here it is for reference anyway ;)
That's all I've got :)
"George?" more like George the Animal Steele
He'd make a nice villian...looks good in Scott's hair ;).
Laurie
I used to do that. Now I use the Geometry Editor to select hair that's poking through, create new surfaces with the selected hair, and then hide those surfaces via the Geometry Editor Tool Settings. It may take some time to get the hang of the Geometry Editor, but once you know how it works, you'll spend far less time hiding the errant hair than it will take to render the scene twice.
Brett with simple hair made in Blender.
Wow, that's some hair there!
Okie dokie!
Can anyone do a render to show what Brett and Noah look like without Dante?
Are these all on the Dante base with no other morphs dialed up?
Looks good. I own that hair from 'over there'. LOL!
Uh....no, not liking the look of that at all. I have George and the hair, and it doesn't look bad on him, but (shivers with creepy chills) looks 'furry' on Dante.
I made a custom head and that's what I used. The changes are kinda small, but that isn't Dante's default head ;) I really hate his default eyes and had to change them. LOL The body tho I didn't touch.
Laurie
I can do that tonight.
The changes I made on Dante's head if anyone wants them (uses only the extra Daz head morphs for G3M):
Chin Cleft HD 60%
Jaw Corner Width 10%
Jaw Height 40%
Eyes Almond Inner 100%
Eyes Almond Outer 100%
Eyes Angled 12%
Eyes Cornea Bulge 125% (turn off limits on this Parameter)
Eyes Depth 53.4%
Eyes Height -37.9%
Eyes Iris Size -18%
Eyes Size -20%
Eyes Width -65.5%
Nose Bridge Depth 46.6%
Nose Bridge Width 30%
Nose Height -34.5%
Nose Ridge 85%
Nose Ridge Width 75%
@Knittingmommy
Here they are:
Okay, not exactly what I was hoping to see. Ah, them, not you Tottallou. I was really hoping they looked much better without Dante. Not bad, but not quite what I expected. They definitely look better with Dante.
Forgot to say thanks! Thanks so much!!!
@Llynara I'd still like to see what your come up with if you do a render also. I missed the special on Dante so I'm holding out to see what the catchup does if anything. Otherwise, I'll probably wait.
The Brett character uses 50% of the Dante Head & 65% of the Body & Noah uses 50% Dante Head - 70% Body
I guess adding a a few morphs from other characters & being in a proper render would improve both of them considerably although I don't think I would personally buy them without Dante who I only bought as he worked out costing just $15 more than I intended to spend on a GC anyway so now I have his pro bundle & some account cash to spend -:)
Good point! Just today, I was using the Geometry Editor to get rid of some tree parts that were poking through the side of a building, so I'm not sure why it hadn't occurred to me to use it on the guys' hair. I'll have to give it a try next time.
Someone was asking about how the Greek God outfit looked without the "spikes," so here's a test render. I left the oak leaves alone. Lighting setup is one of the Skies of Iradiance daytime presets, hair is 2 instances of Perseus Hair for Genesis autofitted, with Slosh's UHT2 shaders on them.
I'll say this for Dante, not having had much time to play with him yet, his skin handles Skies of Iradiance daytime way better than some of the pasty-pale chicks I've bought for G3F.
Oops, someone beat me to it, but here's a comparison. Lighting isn't perfect, it's meant for one subject not three, so I tweaked a little. I kept throwing light at Dante. His skin is a lot darker than Brett and Noah's. Slightly grainy, stopped it at 90% rendered. (Click for much bigger pics.)
Defaults: Brett, Dante and Noah. Dante is much taller than the other two, even when they're all zeroed. Brett seems to be the shortest.
No Dante 7: Brett, Dante and Noah with no Dante head or body morphs. I've not changed the camera angle or the lighting. They literally shrunk without the Dante morphs. Dante himself looks like a kid without his morphs!
I just realized there's a weird collision between the hands and undies in the second pic. Must've happened when I took out the morphs. Didn't readjust anything, just hit the render button.
Here's FW Brett with facial hair and tattoos. They definitely give him some attitude (so does the bike.) Only postwork is background and siggy. (click for bigger pics)
Thanks for the pictures, @Llynara! I'm still on the fence. I could kick myself for not checking out before the store changed over last night. I have to think about it.
Thanks for the comments, Llynara and sapat.
Thank you, Llynara and AllenArt for the info, and Artini for the chuckle :)
