If you look at his eyes, this is definitely the match for Genevieve.

I honestly didn't see myself buying the Dante 7 Pro Bundle, but a number of factors changed that. The included outfits, hair, poses and deep Bonus Buyer discount. $28? Come on. No brainer. Now I just need to render a TWD tribute image with Negan to really make it all worth it!

I'm not sure about Dante. He's got this odd face that looks unfinished and wild-eyed, a wide torso and funny under developed arms and his clothing is mostly not useful. They've reallly done the warrior stuff several times for men. I'm still wishing for more sci-fi outfits. Every character this generation is a warrior it seems.

I got the pro bundle because it was practically free with the PC coupon and a $100 gift card. Seems like a re-do of Leo as far as content goes, but I like his face. Definite similarities with Genevieve 7. Not crazy about the base skin (but I wasn't with Genevieve either). Here are a few quickies with the base skin, anagenesis applied, and a darker and lighter skin applied (Raj and Dale respectively).

I agree with teh sci-fi outfits, but overall men get pretty stiffed. Every article is either kinda wacky or a spacesuit. The only other look seems to be post apocalyptic.

I'm good with that but I wish there were better male clothing options. Like futuristic every-day wear. You're either Mel Gibson or Harrison Ford.

    - and yeah, I think it kinda stinks how you have to have EVERYTHING in the cart to get today's best deal.

It's the end of a long and exhausting MM campaign- who has monies left over like that......

Right now, I might be saying goodbye to this wonderful bundle and only get that horse plus magic shawl combination.

    That thing is awesome.

  • Dante HD 7 update! He disappeared from my cart, so I'm betting that was a mistake. I'll be curious to see how long it takes them to release the HD knowing that they already had the advertising ready to go.

I'm on the fence with this one.  It's a good offering in a lot of ways but I my content needs are currently more into the contemporary, sci-if, and cyberpunk areas.  I do really like the base figure and one of the outfits is something I could possibly use though.  There's also the fact that he was released at the end of the march madness sale. Not the best timing for me or my budget.

I agree. Today's entire sale should have been earlier in the Daz campaign. This is not so good and there are no new vendors on top of that.

New releases leave us little choice now.

I've heard reference to the horse thing, but I'm not sure what it is.... There is an email I got about the horse, but, when I click on the link in it there is no info.

I think the new guy looks like a leo/Ivan cross.

could you see see what the discount is for the giftcard now that you grabbed the Pro Bundle. Does it still stack or stuck at 10%.

A bunch of us want to know if the gift card can be purchased AFTER getting the Pro Bundle.

And the horse category does not reflect a 60% discount for much of the offerings.

I did one for $100, and it said I owed $90. So, it looks like it's stuck at 10%. I'm guessing that's the Bonus Buyer discount? But it says you can't apply that discount towards gift cards, so I dunno.

I just added a $100 gift card with Dante Pro ($29.75) and DA Dante 7 Inferno Pose Pack and the $100 gift card shows as $75.60 in my cart!  I am March Madness Bonus Buyer but didn't think that would affect the gift card price. I wasn't serious about buying the gift card, but now... Hmmm...

I like him, he's interesting. Reminds me a lot of the bad guy in The Highlander. Can't remember his name off the top of my head. I think he'll add plenty to the gene pool once people start playing with him. The price and the items in the Pro bundle are great.

You have to get the card WITH DANTE PRO in the same cart to get the biggest discount.

That's the rub. Wouldn't you like to get the gift card FIRST and then buy Dante and the PC+ discounted items later- yes, with the same gift card you just purchased?

It's a fine print that means I pay more than I want for the gift card packaging (card + item) and THEN I  will be most likely to spend that now idle money on something else--- just because.

Great marketing, not so great for the consumer.

It's also pushing me to buy Dante (a guy most are luke-warm about) only to get the gift card.

I might have to eat today and pray tomorrow has something worth having that store credit for.

In other words, there's a  risk in NOT getting a gift card at this rate and a PRO bundle may still always count for far future purchases. You never know.

WHOA!  The stacking discounts, bonus buyer, and Platinum discounts made this too good to pass up!

    Dante 7 Pro Bundle : $24.28
    DAZ 3D Gift CXard: $100 for $75.60

And it all went through the purchase without a hitch. (All items must be in the cart at the same time.)

I might have passed on this pro bundle all together, but there were a couple of things I wanted and got them for cheaper by getting SO MUCH MORE for less!  Thanks DAZ.

This is DAZ through and through (thru and thru). They are maximising their interests. As a consumer you have to wear long trousers and decide when the offers suit your interests. If they do, buy; if they don't, keep your money.

I'm feeling the same way.  If the starter bundle had the Ugly Dave outfit, I'd probably go that way.  But I'll more than likely never have a need or an urge to render a Greek god or a gladiator.  The starter bundles seeem to never contain the items I'd actually find useful from the pro bundles.

I do find Dante's shape very attractive, and I'd love to experiment mixing him with Gianni.  I might just get his base.

Ah, the Kurgan! Yes, that's him. And Dante does kind of look like him.

I not keen on the character but if someone had the money to buy a 400 card as a future investment, a newly mad (rodent poses) and a Dante Pro Bundle the bottom line is 331.00 and change if you use the 6.00 coupon.

Personally I'm the opposite. I will be doing Greek gods and gladiators in my renders. When I saw the ad I thought "OK, something else I can't afford right now", especially after going back twice yesterday to buy sales items I knew I needed (rodents) but took some convincing I should actually buy right now. Then I looked at the sale price, AND the MM discount and got the Pro bundle for $29 or so. As said, it was a no-brainer. The promo's certainly didn't get to to buy him. The hair and outfits did, and I'm kinda p-o'ed that I didn't get the Mature expressions pack with the Pro bundle. Well, here's to hoping he renders out good, and to future sales on those expressions.

I really like the big, tough male characters coming out. I have a good amount of thin to average men in my lineup, and this is a good change. I'm sorry if I find this amusing but it struck me as funny people don't know the term "war horse" as meaning a tough, older person, usually a man, or even a story/music/image that is a reliable, crowd pleasing subject. Although I guess in the context of a 3D model selling company known for its crazy tie-in sales, looking for a warhorse model shouldn't be unexpected.

  • I don't mind him, he sort makes me think of a much older Elijah. I'll probably just get the base figure and one hair like I did with Gianni. I do really like the Greek Gods outfit, I just wonder if the winged thingys on the belt, arm guards and sandals can be hidden. That would make the outfit even more useful for me.

And is it just me or do all the DAZ male figures look like the constantly skip leg day?

I think they did the promos to emphasise his face age and the differences from Michael 7, Ivan 7, Leo 7 because they are not so easy to discern for an average person.

I guess with so few g3m skin texture merchant resourses available, they are all beginning to look related !  sad

Dante looks like Michael 7's brother, so, in my eyes, not so different. I'm on the fence with him.

To me Dante 7 looks more like Leo's brother. Unfortunately I don't like Leo...

And he comes with another Gladiator outfit… Why do we NEVER get everyday Roman or/and Greek male outfits; only Gladiators and Soldiers?! crying  But the Greek God Outfit looks really nice (wonderful style and textures, and the Medusa shield - wow!); I hope it is possible to make all those spikes invisible. I'll see; I just bought it, together with FW Brett HD. Brett has a G3M UV!

I am very, very happy to hear that maybe S..N we’ll have a male Egyptian set! laugh

EDIT: Maybe it's only the promo pics. Redz makes him look much better! Now I am also on the fence... wink

I don't get the Dante 7 HD Add-on and if I search for it in the store, it doesn't find it. I also don't see anything called the Genesis 3 War Horse unless I'm just overlooking it.

Genesis 3 War Horse seems to mean Dante rather than a horse product, though they are linking the horse category in the offers.

Thanks, Richard. I looked and I looked at the sales page for any reference to the horses, but I couldn't find one. I did search for horse 2 and I saw that the horse 2 bundle was on sale. I wasn't sure what it would have cost if I had added it to my Dante order, but I decided to toss it into my cart to see what the price would be. When I saw that it was less $15 for the bundle, I decided to check out again.

I got it was gonna say older too but I just mentioned how some guys are referred to stallions look wise the beefy hunks as they referred to as well as him being a warrior hadn't even looked at the email promotion just read everyone confused what was with calling him a warhorse thought was obvious though some mentioned something about horses being offered too did not see this so guess I have all that

  • Uthgard said:

either I'm really old be 45 this year cause I am suprised a lot of you don't get the war horse meaning as it has two for example back in the day when I was younger men that were considered hunks were called stallions aand war horse well he is a warrior so thought it was kinda obvious there and of course there's the term hung like a horse but of course they'd never mean that

Unless you bought the Pro Bundle...

yeah I saw above something mentioned about horses never saw that on the sales page and hadn't looked at the promo email so I guess I already own what ever horses and related in the deal all I could see were arenas and gladiator poses

I believe there was an anatomical elements joke in there...

I really like the look of the Thracian outfit. The additional discount by adding one item? Must get Thracian textures.

Also, i don't own Daz horse 2, but i got a really nice deal in my banner ad.
