I made this for the March Freebie Contest entry in the Freebies section and since it uses Toon Generations 2 Mega Bundle have cross-posted it here.

Looks great, huge "fun" factor. wink

Well this is the frustration of CPU renders...3 days later and I have a 4K Resolution render that I feel is too dark...or rather not enough contrast. I could do post work to in but I felt the same way when my Bewitched caricature finished rendering too (I actually stopped that one early though I think). Eventually I'll learn to do the higher contrast renders in DAZ Studio without post work.

Anyway, it's a caricature of Lost in Space. Age the Toon Generations 2 Mega Bundle male to age 50, add the grey hair & eye brows and I have the good fortune that it was already a good caricature of Dr Smith. Will Robinson I used a combination of FaceGen and Toon Generations 2 although the young Toon Generations 2 male already leans to looking like a good caricature of a Will Robinson.

Lost in Space - B-) in Peril!

You look to be having way too much fun.

I'm starting to really miss the 60s because of you. wink

Just getting started with TG2 - this is my attempt to create a character for my blog. At this point, I'm surprised that I can't find any jeans for males that have turned up cuffs! He REALLY needs them!

EDIT: FOUND THEM! Looks like Rusty was able to get into Victoria (7)'s jeans ... wink

I'm sure I saw some not *that* long ago. Probably here, too. Just can't recall the name of the set.

Sorry, Wrong. Not Traveler. It's Casual Style. Texture addon is called Sustainable.

Mind you. the turn-ups are in the texture, not the mesh. But you might also want to check the pants thread. It's probably been bumped bck a page or two. But you might find something there.

Really liking the retro look of you drive-in and the host looks at home there...

I first created this character as a "real" person and then applied the toon morph and skin. I like her both ways.

Thanks! They were literally made for each other - the character was created a couple years ago as someone I could play in costume, as a B-movie host for a hot rod show, and I created the idea of the Diamond Tuck Drive-In to be his 'home' ("diamond tuck" is an upholstery style that is popular among classic hot rods of the '50s). After I had the name, I modeled the sign in Lightwave for Poser - this is the first time I've rendered it in Studio and I had to recreate all the textures so they would work.

Thanks, JOdel, for the heads-up on the jeans - I'll look for them and hopefull they'll give me the look I need :). In the meantime, I redressed Rusty slightly to see another costume option.

EDIT: Hah! Found the jeans - they're for G3F! H&C Baseball Jackets Outfit for Genesis 3 Female

Oh, yeah. Wasn't thinking of using G3F's jeans on G3M. It usually works pretty well, and turned up cuffs are more likely to be modeled in.

Same character as before but as a jockey given the stature.

Now I'm just trying out some of the many products I've bought. I think I'd like to edit the surfaces on the Jockey Set & the DAZ Horse 2 and apply some of Mech4D's textures or procedural textures to the silks and then LAMH to the horse...

Sort of a pre-test of the Toon Crab, TG2, and the Pond as prep for an Easter render. Don't know why the girl's hair didn't come out blonder, I choose the blond iRay shaders from the TG2 baby. I wanted a platinum blonde.

I probably should of made a geoshell for the Toon Crab to make it look wet & dripping water seeing as I implied she just almost stepped on the crab.

The great sand for the tidal flats came from Will Timmins WTP3 freebie procedural shaders at ShareCG. I think I need to start looking at the WTP3 shaders as a precondition for every render I do from now on, especially since I want to start using Gaia in Unity to export environments to DAZ Studio to render.

These are fantastic images. The scene with the crab is funny.

    Happy Easter!

    Happy Easter!

However, in my opinion this is a somewhat too bright and washed out lighting for April 4 at 09:00 AM in even if it is in a place as flat as Kansas. Not sure on that though as some may be too much glossiness in the barn, silo, and wind mill. I'd have to search through pictures at that latiure at 9:00 AM at that time of year to be sure. Maybe I needed to introduce atmospheric haze. Also, I didn't notice until the render was almost done but that barn is huge! I've never seen one that big but I've not seen a lot of American midwestern barns which I think this one is based on.

good but the helmet's detail complexity obscures the toony aspect of it You have one of those really old fashion typical vikings helmets Poser or DAZ 3D models of something like those are made out of plastic that they wear at NFL Minnesota Vikings football games?

Nope don'thave of the old fashioned helmets and I also realized the pose I used got rid of the scaling changes I had done on the horse body ,so I redid it for you nonesuch00 took the helmet off and the shoulder thingies

    I like this one better

  • I have a question about these models. As they seem rather deformed, I was wondering how well they might work with aniblock animations (walking animations, etc.) and more in general with poses where two characters are touching each other (like the "lovers' poses" set in the shop for example) - would they still align?
