JackReason, that's a very cute woodland fae.

  • @Spit Great image!  I've missed seeing your great renders.  I hope this means you'll be adding some more pictures to your thread! :)

@Barbult  I love those two together.  That's very nice.

@Carrie58  I knew immediately who they were supposed to be so, yeah, you're very close there!  Good work! :)

@DarwinsMishap  I already mentioned on your thread how I like these.  I did want to say that I'm glad to see them here!  So glad you're playing with Toons! :)

    @JackReason  Very cute fairy!

@RobbyBobby  Clara was always one of my favorite characters on that show.  I love Marion Lorne and how she portrayed that character.  So funny!  Looks nice, though she might need a few more wrinkles.  :)

  • I haven't gotten much rendering done lately, but I did manage to do a toon render last week.  I had an image pop into my head so I had to immortalize it.  I like how it turned out.  I did find out that the diaper that comes with the Baby for Genesis autofits quite nicely to the G3 so that was a nice surprise.

A better Red Skelton I think. Where are tthose clothes from? And the Samatha & Aunt Clara ones earlier? Retextured V4/M4 clothing?

Well, he's representative.  He actually started with Facegen and a pic of Paul Lynde.  The Toon Generations mesh is pretty detailed on its own.  As for the clothes, Arthur's suit is actually one of the Genesis 3 ones with different textures.  It was a variation of the one that Darrin is wearing.  Samantha's dress is a Genesis 3 one and Aunt Clara's is a Genesis 2 one.  It's 4am and I'm too tired to go through the wardrobes to get the actual models.  Haha

Oh, it looks like Lynn too but the red hair threw me from the TV show but then it's a common thing in cartoons to use bright colors to emphasize the characters. Thanks.

Playing with blocks from DM's More Than Words. The texture and eyes are from The Girl 7. The hair is Dandelion Hair, which has moved from the Daz Store to someplace else.

Finally got something that I was happy about LOL. I so love the toons and greatly enjoy looking at everyone's toon art, but I can never really get a handle on doing art with them myself. But I played around this morning and was quite pleased with how this one turned out, so I think I shall play more and practice more.

She's a mix of Toon Generations and Olympia 7 with O7's default materials.

That's adorable! I would increase the iris size a little bit - toon eyes require a bit of iris size adjustment, I've found. At least that's my preference, yours might be totally different of course. :)

I'm liking that render though - the outfit and hair really add to the cuteness too. Well done!

BTW, what hair is that? :)

Really cute!  I love the new Toons but I'm having a time getting the nose to look less short and get rid of the ball on the end.  I have Olympia 7 but it doesn't seem to change the face that much.  I have a feeling I don't know how to use the morphs ;-)

spuffy if you keep the Toon morph to about 50% you can blend it better with the other figures

  • nonesuch00nonesuch00 Posts: 18,714

    Yes, I agree with carrie58.

I have found that 50% is the absolute limit you can take the 3DU Toon Generations 2 slider too and not absolutely loose almost all the morphs of your original character. I found that for like FaceGen Artist Pro and other morphs 25% - 33% works best with TG2 and then you can use the G3M / G3F Face and Body morphs to dial in more toon exaggerations that suit your character better so they all don't look alike. And of course it helps if you have the Guy 7/Girl 7 and Aiko 7/Kenji 7 and Star 2 characters all available to add more toon style exagerations to the mix for you too choose from.

Thanks, nonesuch00. And thanks too, Carrie58.  I'll try your suggestions.  I'm quite sure I have the Toon morph at a lot more than 50%.

The idea is that the witches all have reddish/blonde to red hair.

Oh, I forgot about those old witch legends; whew there were some doozies told wasn't there? But I don't think that's why Samantha and Endora and Aunt Clara have blond or red hair on the show. Having red hair myself that's why I avoided typically avoided all that 'knowlege' of red-headed 'witches' and at some schools took a different path home everyday.
