Heh. Seriously - I think I'd trade my green banner for one Pro 7 pack for free from any of them and a second one for 80% off.
The remaining big hitters on my wish list are Pro 7 bundle packs at STEEP discount.
If it's really for those who did not buy anything during the MM sales, then it's meh.... I understand the "buy more, get more discount" kind of sales, but "buy nothing, and get $180 for free; buy something, don't get $180 for free" is kind of disappointing.

well I know some who have bought nothing who did not get this either if thats any consolation
There is something odd:
I have a very old account I don't use anymore.
Then I have a newer account, where I have purchased a LOT in the last 1-2 years.
With the new account I only visited the store during March Madness - I'm unable to purchase something right now, because there are issues with my credit card I need to resolve first - I don't do PayPal.
With the old account, I have not visited DAZ for years.
For the old account I got this "you've been missed" mail, not for my new account, where I would have expected an offer.
Does this make any sense? :-(

On one hand, I agree. On the other, it's hard to beat that day where we got 73% off or so on all utilities. That was pretty cool.
It's not sour grapes to those who got the banner.....it's toward DAZ for choosing to reward those who HAVEN'T been buying during MM with an offer better than anything those who HAVE been buying are getting.
I'd definitely have preferred to get a Pro 7 Bundle free, and one at 80% off, than most of what I have bought so far this MM.......that would have made my MM. As it is, it's been VERY 'meh'. And I haven't spent nearly as much as I have in past MMs.

Perhaps. But MM isn't over yet. If they rewarded folks who purchased nothing, maybe they'll do something for those who purchased stuff. :)

I think the misunderstanding here is that Orange banner isn't for people who have bought NOTHING, it's for some people who bought stuff, and due to a bug they did NOT get the Bonus Buyer status.
This Orange banner is an attempt to say "oops, we're sorry, have a freebie on us."
That was my understanding.
Free pro pack might be kind of an extreme apology, but if I had been buying stuff the last 2 weeks and not getting the discounts, I'd probably appreciate the gesture.
It's strange though. I did make a purchase during MM, and I still got the banner. I know I did because I had that bonus buyer banner and got Classic Axes for bonus too. Anyway, because of this extra bonus I also bought Streaming Hair and Super Cloak bundle, so I guess the promo is working for Daz.
Yeah, but isn't that the point of the whole sale? :) Daz gave us a good deal. We spent a lot of money on it. Win-win. Why give us a bad taste with "someone gets pro bundles, you don't" deals? :(

If Petipet or AntFarm or Keikekile (something like that) or StoneMason or...or have some crazy new releases and I aint armed with more than that banner and the usual 40% for 1, 50% for two....

Hmph, I'm starting to feel that everytime there's a good banner offer, I'm always excluded or do not qualify. When I get the banner, it's usually for some decade old useless ( for me ) junk, or buy 2 new items and save extra 10% from catalog items kinda deals. Don't get me wrong, those are a nice loyalty bonuses, but nothing spectacular like this one. Just like current March Madness super duper extra discount. Pretty much everything I own and use is for genesis 3 and Iray, so I have no use for items made in last millennia. The only mad thing in this March Madness I've seen this far, is mad savings for my credit card balance. And I don't mean I've got awesome discounts, it's like I've hardly bought anything. All the interesting offers has been in the fast grab, which recently has had lots of quite new and interesting items, but I doubt that has anything to do with March Madness. Well, I think I get the extra 10% off from fast grab purchases also, so at least I don't feel totally left out.
Well, to be honest, of course I've gotten some really nice banners here too, but after you miss couple good ones in a row, your memory starts to play tricks on you and remembers only those disappointments. It's not easy to be a marketing wizard/diplomat; while you bow to the east, you moon to the west...Heh, and just like everybody else here, I'm not complaining but.....
Honestly, I would even go for this promo if it were reversed. First buy one pro pack at 80% off, then get the second one free. That way we'd actually pay for something, not just pick up the freebie. Although taking part in the March Madness, we are paying constantly. In fact, I've been very careful not to let the Bonus Buyer thingie expire. I know I can bring it back anytime but what if we get a little extra bonus at the end if we were bonus buyers all the time? I would never have thought that the point is to NOT be a Bonus Buyer. :D

Thing is, last time there was an exclusive offer like this it was for people who were buying a lot and I wasn't, so I was excluded. This time I've been buying every day and still get excluded. Can't win.
My guess it's like other special banner offers not given to everyone, and similar to the 3D printed figures freebies they sent to people, it is simply random selections from the customer base. The special offers given to big buyers, or people who haven't bought in a while, usually reference the reason in the offer. If there is no specific reference, then it's a random selection (at least that's my understanding). I didn't get the banner so I'm just guessing here as I don't know what it said.
The up side to these offers is that you make a few people very happy, and often increase sales from them. The down side is you make a few people unhappy, and possibly get reduced sales from them. I think I did get one of these special offer banners given to a random selection once IIRC, (but not as good as this offer for sure, I think it was for a huge discount on the V7 pro bundle, but I was quite happy with), but for the many other limited offers (not given to all customers), I've always been on the outside looking in. But, as they say, that is the luck of the draw. For those offers targeted at a specific group of customers, I haven't met the criteria on either side (definitely don't buy enough to qualify as a big buyer, but buy too much to be a no buyer). For those offers that were random selections, I wasn't lucky.
For those who got the banner all I can say is .... Woohoo!!! You scored big time!
For those who didn't (including myself) ..... Better luck next time! Just remember, the longer you're here, the more chances you have at getting a really good special offer.
No orange banner for me either, but we've seen things like this in the past, where we get all wound up because it seems that Daz is rewarding the "bad" customers instead of the "good" customers. As others have already said, MM still has a long way to go. Maybe there will be more orange banners or something else for the rest of us. I have no inside knowledge that this will happen, but we can hope!

The logic of DAZ marketing confuses me. They have to know that people will come on this forum and immediately announce whatever special discount they got. They should know that giving some people no discount, some people a small discount, and other people a large discount for unknown reasons could be a cause of concern for some of their customers. Yet that is exactly what they do. And we get these threads every month or two. Seems as a strategy it has some bad secondary effects.
Customers complain regardless of what they get or don't get, there is no logic, just customer human nature LOL
I haven't participated much at all in MM, but today there are enough products I want to give me a pretty good deal, so I have about $100 of products in my cart right now waiting to see if a banner shows up, if not, no biggie, there'll be another sale down the road.
And the first Rule of the Orange Banner club is "We don't talk about the Orange banner club"
