V4 Hair to G2F

There are probably a dosen threads on this subject but I can't find anything that remotesly help me.
How do you get V4 hair to work on G2F without losing all of the morphs.

Load G2F, then load the V4 hair and do not autofit. position it (X,Y,Z) as close as you can and parent it to the head. If you need a tighter fit, apply a smoothing modifier to it with G2F as the collision and you are good
That is what I do but whern I try and pose G2F the hair goes crazy.
I never apply a smoothing modifier and things usually work fine (as long as the hair has adequate morphs/control handles). Just adjust the position, parent to the head, adjust scale if necessary.
make sure it is parented to the head and not the figure as that will cause it to go crazy.
What hair are you using?
I use quite a few slicked back and tight on the scalp hairs, so the smoothing modifier is a must for a perfect fit for me.
That makes sense. Pretty unlikely you'd get wierdness due to collisions etc. with that type of hair + a smoothing modifier.
You should not lose any morphs when auto fitting, that used to true a long time ago, but now auto fit preserves the morphs.
You will however lose any extra movement bones added to the hair. A lot of longer hair have these additional bones and for these the parenting method outlined above is the better solution. For shorter hair auto fit should work just fine.
I parent V4 hair to genesis 2 all the time and I don't loose morphs or adjustments. I do the same with Genesis 3 hair for Genesis 2 I just parent it instead of autofit , and I still retain all the functions .
you might try loading a new character into the scene as a test and try parent the hair to the new character to see if you still have the same issue. when you parent the hair . make sure you parent to the head bone of the character . and not the whole character its self so the hair fits over the head .
Anything longer than shoulder length...and that's pretty much top of the shoulders.
