    Haha! That's brilliant, Totte! I am now feeling inspired. I was going to suggest making plastic-y bears to get around the UV problem, but where could you use that kind of bear? Well, now we know! laugh

    All right, I think I can safely attempt to participate this time.  New job + month-long illness = I forgot I owned a computer.  Throw me in for $20 in the prize pool, too.

    I was also thinking about Zawarkal. We haven't heard from her in way too long. I'm scared to think why, with her serious illness.

    I did a little digging...  From what I could discover on deviantart (first name) FB (last name) and Google...  Well, I think she's rendering from another of her amazing dimensions now.

    Well dug for that information on Zawarkal - I'm so sorry to read that, but I guess it was on the cards. She had such a unique artistic voice and was super-helpful too.

    Thanks so much Karibou for sharing the news on Zawarkal. She's one of the old gang who I fondly remember from this contest, and she had been on my mind lately. I had been missing her vibrant and imaginative entries. She was a true creative spirit and part of what made RRRR special for me.

    Welcome back, Karibou! Thank you for sharing your research on Zawarkal. It is sad news but we did expect it. I will miss her a lot. Her work was incredible and very inspiring to me.

    First Contact with an alien species occurred in July of 2032  in the wilds of southwestern Idaho when a scouting party from Quobos in the Gluon System crash-landed due to inebriation.     Luci, I have no idea how you do it!  All that detail and it's still seamless.  My current entry is being rendered in several layers -- I actually made a scene with enough stuff in it that my computer threw up when I tried to render it.

    On June 23rd -- an otherwise nondescript calendar day -- in some parts of the United States it is tradition for cities to throw enormous block parties in which guests from the Afterlife are invited to celebrate with the living.  It is by far the busiest business day for Portals-Are-Us technicians, spirit mediums, and apocalyptic prophets, rivaling even Halloween in its profitability for such entrepreneurs.

    This one almost killed me.  I'm still not entirely happy, but I've been at this for upwards of 20 hours over 2 days, so... someone stick a fork in me, I'm done!
