Galleries do seem to load just fine now as well. Store (and product) pages still functioning for me right now (clearing browser cache may indeed help...)

  • sapatsapat Posts: 1,735

laugh Yes, that would be fine with me!  Give us something for our trouble.

I have cleared the browser cache, rebooted, and did all the usual chants and spells.  It's not helping me.

This is a zoomed out view of the store from where I'm sitting in Redwood City, CA with my cloudfare nod being in San Jose...

Might have to beat back your browser's cache to get the latest view.

Silly me.. your right.  View is perfect now!

"Advanced Shaders 1.5" (sku:34359) pricing is screwed.  It says  "-Infinity%" Free(crossed out) $4.00  and there's no "Favorite(heart)" button nor "Add to cart" button.

For products with no Add To Cart button (there are a few) there is a solution here for how to get them into the cart:

Everything seems to be working fine for me at this point. Out of the woods?

Still a little bit wonky in the galleries...

  • Yeah, the page is still slightly wonky. Images not loading.

Several things that were not showing up in DAZ Connect now are.

But I still have 169 things listed in Lost and Found, including probably well over 150 that used to be categorized in the regular content areas until a week or so ago.

ooooohh a couple of products are in Connect waiting to be downloaded. Excellent.

  • IceDragonArtIceDragonArt Posts: 12,727

If I was the head of marketing at Daz, I'd give everyone a $10 gift certificate for all this. It wouldn't break Daz and it's more convenient than having to refund many people who could potentially submit tickets for small errors (my last order was maybe $2.00-$4.00 off from the PA featured sale part not working correctly, I haven't done the complete math but things were off by maybe 70 cents or so, but it adds up. )

So hint, hint, I think it would be a great gesture of good will to give customers a $10 GC for all the pain this has been laugh

I know that some of mine were off.  I just have zero interest in figuring out exactly where.  When there are 20-30 items in the cart all with different deal combinations, I would end up totally nuts before I figured it out.

The Diceratops I just downloaded does not have the actual figure.  It has mats and poses but the actual Diceratops is no where to be found.

The front page still looks like this (zoomed out to fit more of the missing images in):

And the forum is extremely slow and at times completely unresponsive. So yeah, definitely not out of the woods yet.

How did you install?  Did you install both zips?

  • IceDragonArtIceDragonArt Posts: 12,727

Ya I did.  I went in and uninstalled and re installed and its there now.  Must have caught another hiccup.

I was able to get through checkout after purchasing the G3 Vintage Rose outfit but the manual install/download for the outfit does not work.  It leads to a page that says there has been an error processing my request and that the file does not exist.

Attempts to download Vintage Rose for  G3F via DIM are producing the "Download Failed!" error almost immediately. (I think that's an improvement over downloading the entire file and then throwing the error!)

I also bought Modeling with Littlefox 5 - Hair Texturing and at this moment, there are no download options. In fact, the page is not showing up in my Product Library. I have to click on the link inside the invoice to get to the product page.

This is all FYI. I know you guys are hard at work on the system and you'll have everything up and running as soon as humanly possible. Thank you for that.

Thanks, Taozen!  It worked great. Even had the correct price after it was in the cart.

The store and forums are working much better for me now! I even see the Featured Artists thumbnails that were missing from the PC+ sale before.

Vintage Rose Manual Download is also producing an error message:

'There has been an error processing your request

File does not exist: '/data5/productfiles/files/35033/IM00035033-01_VintageRoseforGenesis3Females.zip' | false'

    - Sigh - But let's be patient; I think there is a lot to do during those big sales.

DAZ_Rawb,  Thanks to you and others things seem to be back to normal. I appreciate everyone's had work to get the server problems fixed. Web pages for everywhere I've gone are quite responsive today and I've not noticed any missing pics in the Forums or DAZ Store. Again... Thanks!

    Oh... and Happy Anniversary!

  • DAZ_RawbDAZ_Rawb Posts: 817

First of all, thank you all for the anniversary wishes and your upbeat tone!

I was going to post yesterday about putting all of this behind us, but since the various caches take a while to clear I wanted to make sure everyone was seeing the site properly before I posted. It looks like we made it through quite well, so hurrah!

It looks like there is a product or two that needs permissions fixed on our server side, so we're still looking in to fixing that in a way that so it won't happen with fresh products. Also, since we have had some continuing large growth in customer base, and bringing products over from RuntimeDNA we may have outgrown our current storage cluster and the team and I will definitely be looking at it more closely over the next few weeks. We have found and nice and very stable spot right now so we aren't in any hurry, so don't expect to hear anything more about it for a while, but if we do decide to shuffle things off to some new systems I'll try and pop in and give you all some advanced warning.

So let's all raise a glass to some stable and fast servers, cheers!

Thank you for the good work, and for keeping us updated!

  • Certainly looks like the worst of it is over... I haven't had any issues the last couple days and I see that gallery images and such are loading properly again. Thanks for keeping us all up to date, and I hope that it's all fixed up and will be smooth sailing from here on out! :)

It is so much more fun when response is fast and consistent. Thanks for getting things back to where they should be.
