How many birthdays is tjohn allowed to have?

In the span of a few days, I mean.

Well today is the actual day,  but he had almost a week of rehearsals.   All the best people have reheasals for their official birthdays.

Wow, I misread the earlier post like nobody's business. surprise  I thought it said "today."

    OK, well, rehearsal week then.

Thanks.  I seriously need to sleep more.

OMG, I think I've seen enough for today!  I live near Jamestown, NY, "world famous" for being the birthplace of commediene Lucille Ball (big whoop).  Regardless she did the dying little city of Jamestown a big favor by mentioning it on her "I Love Lucy" shows a few times back in the '50s and then she died and was buried here and suddenly Jamestown, NY became "world famous".  So now we have the "Lucy Festival" each August http://www.lucycomedyfest.com/events/ .  And there are Lucy museums, and Lucy theaters and big posters, billboards, a fantastically ugly bronze statue of Lucy and massively large images painted on buildings.  If that wasn't enough, now there is even the "National Comedy Center" http://www.comedycenter.org/ scheduled to open for next year's Lucy Fest.

This is all bad enough, we get innundated with Lucyisms this time of year, and frankly all year long, but today even I was creeped out by what I saw.  Right there on the entrance to a gas station in the middle of the city was an animated Lucy mannequin dressed in a typical Lucy style dress and hat, holding a 2 foot wide by 9 inch high sign advertising a sale on gas.  The sign was waving in a lazy circle in front of the mannequin.   Ghaaaaaa, burn my eyes out. devil

Personally I gave up on birthdays some time back. The number was getting too big.

I sometimes use my Dad's favourite way of calculating his age whereby 48 became 32 and a half   and so forth.

Yeah, saw that.  I knew the old "Scary Lucy" had been removed some time ago and a new one was commissioned but didn't know it had been unveiled.  Thanks.

Now, that being said...  I should have just let my shocked eyes rest and done something safe like reading a book or knitting or sleeping, but nooo, I had to look up the news from Buffalo tonight and the image below is what I found.  Monster rubber ducky floating in Buffalo's harbor.  No, really!

I switched my age to hex for a while (makes me 0x37). But these days on the rare occasion someone asks my age, I have to ask what year it is and then spend some time working it out. One day I hope to be famous enough to have a wikipedia page, then I can just look it up on the internet.

A morning is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.  (apologies to Gandolf)
