Unfortunately I only got one code. I was waiting for the second (and third and fourth email lol)  If it doesn't clear up by the time i get home from work I will have to put in a ticket.

did you try click on the code directly you got in the mail? That is what happened to me and led me to a working code on the redeem gift card page.

When I had tried to copy the code and paste it wasn't working.

and thanks to the one who found out its working for gift cards!!!

This is why doing with this with sales is such a terrible idea. Extend the same sale or run a different one; don't run a better version of the same sale the next day.

    a. Customers who just bought stuff will feel ripped off that they didn't know to wait a day (whether factual or not they'll still feel it.)

    b. Customers will see an emerging pattern and think it's safer to wait on buying anything.

Both outcomes are bad for everyone all round. Am I insane for not thinking this should be obvious?

Yestersay I used the discount to purchase a substantial Gift Certificate and today I could have bought it a couple of dollars cheaper. Grrr!!!

I'd ask for a partial refund but I don't think Gift Certificates are eligible

You can get refunds on unused ones; even so I'd ask as it should highlight you have an issue with this form of sales tactic (presuming you have of course).

Might want to wait a day ...or two. Who knows, it might be 13% off tomorrow. lol

Well, of course, it was used in that I converted it to store credit; although I haven't spent the credit yet

Who knows. If the pattern keeps up it would be 31% at the end of the month.

You haven't used it, as in spent any of it. I should have been more clear.

When do fast Grabs usually change? What time in your time zone?
  • OverdrawnOverdrawn Posts: 580
It doesn't seem to have a pattern, though you could compare Ati's post timestamps to be sure. :) My guess is that it's "stock" based--once a certain number sale it switches (as some items stay around for much less time than others). Maybe. ;)

A lot of times it is around 10 AM Daz time (MST). And frequently they don't change on weekends. But this seems to be the average and not always exactly the same.

Can u see that 13% off ? Waaaaaaaa!!!! Hahahahahahahha

  • jakibluejakiblue Posts: 7,281

That is so bizarre. Logically, it should be lower - like, you should have bought on the first day!!! not waited a couple of days.

Of course, the thing is, you have to know if today is the last day they'll do it...or if it goes on a few more days.

    "Buy now...."

"But what if it's 14% tomorrow?"

"What if it's 4% tomorrow? Or the sale stops...?"

I could just keep putting in support tickets for my 11% purchases each day it increases, that'd be fun. Honestly I can't be bothered sending in a support ticket to explain that stunts like this erode customer loyalty so I'll just popcorn along too. Daz is doing a great job of making me not actually care what's going on in the store, but it is entertaining to watch~

I *AM* doing that. Sent one yesterday, sending one today. It's only a couple of bucks, no big thing, but it was my biggest ever giftcard purchase, and even if they say the 30-day refund does not cover giftcards, they should know that this kind of sale is really irritating for some of us... laugh

Unbelievable! I wonder how many support tickets they got yesterday.

I was thinking the same thing as you. I put in a support ticket yesterday and they did give me a refund for the lower price of the gift certificate I had purchased at 11% off.  I'm not sure if I should keep reopening it as the price keeps getting lower.

ETA: I decided to go ahead and reopen my support ticket. Anyway, I will need all the extra dollars I can get for the PA sale next month

Oh, and nice stacking going on today with the Diva sale. Zeddicuss, PerspectX, some items from WildDesigns all stack. Plus add the -13% off, ...

And you can get a nice 74% off from Look At My Hair, too, from the hair sale, for example.

If you've been drooling over anything in PerspectX's or Zeddicuss's stock - there is some nice stacking going on right now with them.

Due to being featured artists in a couple other sales as well as "45% off with purchase" artists from the "A Day in the Life of a Diva" sale, if you purchase a new release from that Diva sale you get a stacking discount from them.

I've been drooling over half of PerspectX's stock for a while now, that GORGEOUS 50's Diner is only $8 right now with a purchase from the Diva sale:

Edit - Oops, looks like Ati beat me to it.

I'm expecting 14% tomorrow, but not after that; now do I risk waiting, or not?

Don't want to put a ticket in, and the game of chicken is kinda fun.

    Exchange rate sucks

I think you have up to a month after purchasing an item to return it or put in a ticket about it, so I don't see the downside of waiting to see how low it goes (unless you spent less than $14, in which case the 14% off that MIGHT come tomorrow wouldn't apply anyway).

Toying with the idea of a gift card though; sucks how much more they cost due to exchange rate.

    EDIT

But there is always another sale, so...

I'm actually extremely irritated with the gift card thing and the percentage going up every day.  I bought one at 11% and one at 12%.  I'm not buying anymore.  And in protest I am not buying anything else either.  I am just pissed off. Its a hassle to send a support ticket, its ridiculous that I even have to.  Seriously, if everyone sent in a support ticket for the gift cards its going to be the final x% off that is the highest in the end anyway.  So why not just give everyone the final percentage off to begin with and be done with it.

I agree that this is frustrating. But don't let this stop you from buying stuff. With the stacking sales, the additional 13% off, plus get a gift card beforehand for the exact amount, another 13% off, you can make some pretty decent deals today.
