I can't believe they did it again!!! Oh, well.
I posted a couple of shopping cart screenshots over in the Daily Sales Talk thread... If you've been putting off buying from the "Luthbel's & RawArt's Adrenaline Pumping Future" sale, but plan on buying a couple of items before the promo disappears, today might be the day... With the extra 13% for $13 promo, one item from the "Diva" sale and two from the "Adrenaline Pumping" sale will get you 84% off of Zeddicuss' back catalog today. (For the record, I put most of those things in my cart to check the stacking discounts. I haven't purchased anything. Yet. lol)
Just be sure and buy the Gift Card first, then fill your cart with all the lovely, highly discounted products your budget will bear!
I just had a thought about the daily increasing discount... Perhaps DAZ is testing to see where the "sweet spot" is, what is the best X% for $X purchase. If that's the case, they don't mind making the adjustments for those who buy at the lower values. (I know I've been sorely tempted to grab a big gift card, and have barely managed to "Just say no." But if it gets as high as 16%/$16, I don't think I'll be able to resist. After all, the PA sale is just around the corner...)
And if I cave for less, I'll just wait until the daily increasing discounts end and open a single ticket, with purchases itemized and all the math done for them. That will be less hassle for me, and less work for customer service.

I do want to put in tickets for the difference but the problem is, they often ask you to do the math which is a pain in the neck. I do need the extra money though, so I guess it's worth it, and of course, it all goes back into store credit... Has anyone been able to send in a ticket for something complicated and had them do the math?
I'm not too sure if that would be a good idea. If the discounts have already ended before you submit the ticket, I'm not sure whether or not it would be honored.
If that's the case that's a terrible way to test. People who bought at 11% didn't know that they were playing chicken, and not knowing when they're going to stop this stupid idea, everyone feels like if they do buy they've somehow 'lost' despite still getting nice savings. You won't get any accurate data that way.
I just add a new note to the existing ticket each day when a better sale comes along. :D
Me too. It seems a lot safer than trying to wait until the end to initiate a ticket
Im tempted to get garibaldi or look at my hair, they get low as $17 dlls thnx to the 13% off, I like to build my stuff, but september! I must resist!!! I can only spend from 50 to 100, need to be strong!
LOL
Good luck. I've been able to resist for a couple days, so far. As for LAMH vs Garibaldi, there is a thread discussing them both, started early today, probably because both are on sale... http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/106411/
I went ahead and put a ticket in. Just so they know how irritating it is lol.
Yep. And if enough people keep submitting tickets each day the discount increases, maybe DAZ will see the pitfalls of this sale.
Best thing to do is not buy.
I'm not.
"Gee Daz I'm so cross with you," but you buy anyway... Seriously, cash talks; forum chat doesn't.
Yup, not buying today. In fact I haven't used one of my PC coupons yet this month. That's unheard of, its usually gone by the 5th both of them. I am just ughh...I don't even know what to call it.
I put in a ticket for my two purchaces from Thursday, with a note that there will be another tomorrow for the things I bought today if the sale continues to rise.
I think they kind of missed the mark with this raising the % off every day. They are actually punishing people who are doing what they usually HOPE people do, which is buy early. What I think would have been a much better plan (and maybe I'm really off the mark, I haven't worked in sales in years) is to start off with as high of a % off as they are willing to go - let's say 15% off (of course it could be lower or higher, I'm just throwing a random number out there). So start the sale off at 15% off, then the next day it's 14% off. This will reward people who jumped on the sale right away (which is what they usually want) and not punish people TOO MUCH for not jumping on it right away. Every day lower it by 1% will put on the presure to purchase - again, which is what they usually want. And people will be less sad about missing the 15% off because if they hit the sale the next day they get 14% off and it's ALMOST as good.
To me, imo, going that way would have created a lot less angry people.
I think I'm a little disappointed there isn't a 14% discount on $14 or more today...

And now all the people who saw 11, 12, 13 and decided to wait are mad. Gee, Daz, this was well thought out.
Pretty much. I'm kind of happy though (I might be the only one lol) - because from what I hear the PA and PC+ sales coming soon are going to be fantastic - so it helped me save some money for those. It would have been nice to get a gift card at a discount though ...oh well. One thing I've learned in my four or so months here is THERE IS ALWAYS ANOTHER SALE. heheh :)
I'm not bothered in terms of saving money (I bought a gift card at 11% before I knew we were playing chicken and I'm totally happy with that.)
I'm mad because it's such an unspeakably stupid thing to do to your customers that suggests you either don't understand basic logic or that you don't care about their feelings towards your company. A chicken game can work if you clearly establish the rules beforehand. Instead advertising "today only!" and then replacing it with a better offer that does the same thing is inept and dishonest advertising. No one comes out of it happy, which should have been obvious before they did it.
This is very unfortunate. It disrupts my daily routine of writing a support ticket to DAZ.
Well I wrote 4 just last night (not to do with this sale), so you can have those if you want. LOL
Oh, I'm not mad. I was trying very hard to resist Daz's efforts to come between me and what little money I have left. I dodged a bullet, so to speak, when they didn't have another day, (or more,) of the discounts. Which is why I find it funny that I was a little diisappointed they weren't keeping it going...
Not that I don't completely understand those folks who are mad about the way it was presented...
I was expecting it.
I had a $200 gift card in my cart; I figured it would be fun to let Daz decide if I was going to spend today wondering if another would appear tomorrow, or if I was going to wait until the next time there's a decent offer. 13% isn't bad, but not great.
Sorry I wasn't trying to say that you specifically were - just that it's the result for many.
I was holding out for 100% off $100.
Actually, R'osity usually has an annual 50% off $50 at some point, although it doesn't apply to sale items....
No worries. Just making sure it was obvious my comment was meant to be humorous... It's hard to tell, (most of the time,) with pure text... lol
