I've always resisted making portraits but I guess the portrait people have won me over... for a while. This is a mash of G3F with Danae's London textures using Legacy UVs for Genesis 3 V4. Very hard to tweak the texture modifications for the geografts. And the bumps and speculars don't transfer properly. Had to do each one manually. And there was no displacement for the scarf, so I had to make one. And......of cause I couldn't get the eye brows to match the hair... sigh.... pretend you don't notice. wink (Image will enlarge if you click it)

    Very nice work!

Here's one I am working on. Used the Simtereo Randonmizer and a bit of George,

What a great character, FSMCDesigns! His hair (both on the top of his head & facial hair) looks particularly good. The morphs, the mats, the hair - they all seem to naturally fit together.

Thanks Greg! The face stubble is from the Ayo character at rendo, I just changed the material settings. The hair is from hellboy in the store here.

She's very lovely, Seeker!  I love the lighting and the soft pastel colors you managed to get.

    Inspired by recent events.

As an aside, the big trick to adapting http://www.daz3d.com/blue-planet-orbital-view to iray is to just skip the whole atmosphere haze/volume effect entirely -- you don't need it.

    Also don't bother with displacement.

Cool.  I think I tried once to get that to work and gave up as I was still fairly new to Iray.  I'll have to try it again.

Pretty happy! Finally got Plant-Man. Now, it's 7 years old and for Michael 4, so I was a bit nervous about how easily I could work with it in Iray... well, it came out great, I think.

I can't seem to get any of the longer hairs to look realistic in close-ups, so I'm teaching myself hair painting....

Re-working some of this, because of course I see the flaws now.

...beautiful. Sadly, something I no longer have a steady hand for.

Would love to use Garabaldi but a pic like this would take days to render on my system as for Iray I have to convert it from strand to .obj which pumps up the polys something fierce.

Created with a Ken Gillian Song bird remix Robin character & Lisa Botanicals Heart of the matter tree set. that was once "Both" sold here at daz studio. I converted the textures to Iray.
The back ground is a HDRi image i made in Photoshop - Original post # http://www.daz3d.com/gallery/#images/174041/

Very nice, Ivy.  I love robins.  Kind of miss seeing them, but they don't seem to get this far south.  Nice work on the textures.

    More revamped old content. Woo!

Been meaning to pick this up for a while now. Probably a year on my wishlist...

Had to give a quick shout out to Jepe's special effects for Iray.  Comes with lots of light settings and are super easy to use.

Here is my first render with Daz Studio 4.8 IRay:

I made this lamp using shape magic program and used IRay Emissives and Textures I made myself in PSP9.

    Hurray!  You took the plunge!

Another portrait, but not originally a portrait, LOL. Had to crop out her body for the TOS... I'm slowly getting the hang of DS, but still there is SOOOOOO much I don't know... Just started in March, hopefully I will be able to learn the more advanced capabilities soon--if I could just find the instructions...
