My understanding is that not all the clothing fits the Cookie Dough morphs. There are a few outfits that also come in a Cookie Dough fits version. I've had reasonable luch in fitting those outfits to some other characters. At least good enough for a render from a specific angle.

    Thanks for the kind comments!

I would've bought both Cookie and Chip, but I had to settle for Cookie (lots of sales = lots of wantz).

With Cookie Dough, can you still make Cookie unique with lots of morphs, or do you have to stick with the CR2 presets?

I bought Cookie with the Cookie Dough morphs since they have some male settings. It's not ideal, but I didn't have enough cash handy to grab both characters.

Cookie Dough adds a bunch of morph dials (but as far as I know you have to load the cookie dough file rather than the usual cookie in order to have them or get the most out of the presets, but I don't really understand Poser files well enough to be sure.

Thanks for the tips on fitting Cookie hair. Would be nice to have the way to fit Genesis 3 clothes to her.

Cookie Dough adds a LOT of morphs - you have to load the Cookie Dough.cr2 and you get a lot of dials in the parameters tab you can turn yourself.

    Fitting clothes to CookieDough:

Poser has (I think from PP2014 on - but I may be wrong) the "Copy morphs from" command. DazStudio has MorphFollower for non-weightmapped figures. And there is Dimension3d's Morphing Clothes at Rero for all others ...

I bought Cookie and Chip back on RDNA when I first started with DS, but never got them actually loaded into DS because, at the time, I hadn't figured out how to add third party stuff for use in DS.  By the time I had that all figured out, DS bought RDNA.  So, this is my actual first ever Cookie render even though I've had for almost 2 years now.

I think she turned out pretty well.  Rendered in Iray.

Powerpose plugin has been updated to include Cookie.

In this image, both Cookie's were posed only useing Poserpose. (It's part of Studio...and it's free!  Just not updated with each release.)

Yeah I know Dakota Cookie is looking off kilter....rerendering.

So here's the update plugin. http://pdsmith.deviantart.com/art/Powerpose-Update-for-DAZ-Studio-now-with-Cookie-465432403

State: Iray render.  All hair modded using a OOT hair modifier.  Skin modded using a freebie here in the freepozitory for Iray. (sorry don't remember where or how far back)

Really cool seeing so many varied renders!

Where's the dog from in the latest one?

  • PDSmithPDSmith Posts: 713

    Thank you very much.

The Dog is actually a tiger, just 're-haired' using the same shader as the girls hair.

Oh wow, I never even noticed that came with a tiger. That's awesome.

I'm having issues with the idea of buying Chip because beyond a few addons I want (like http://www.daz3d.com/spare-ribs-for-chip which sadly seems to have no Cookie version?) Cookie Dough (which doesn't seem to have a Chip edition) already lets you turn Cookie into a male, and these aren't the sort of detailed figures where the geometry differences really matter like say Genesis 3. It also looks like they share mats? Or at least all the same options. So he seems like the same thing as Cookie but with fewer options aside from a few exceptions. Then again the ribs page mentions turning him into a mummy but the ultra expensive bandage set only seems to be for Cookie?

Sorry - Capsces fan here - I have all her morphs for the figures I have, apart from Penelope for Krystal - too late for grabbing that one.

I'm becoming increasingly suspicious that you know everything there is to know in the world.

Not sure how I missed that one amongst the items added with this release - thanks!

You can get the Tiger as standalone at RDNA, search on "Toon Animals:" (include the colon). There are two others, the Panda is included with Fortune Cookie for Cookie.

Was that iray settings for skin for Cookie specifically? Or do you mean iray settings for a different figure that you tweaked?

I think it's time to get @Kerya on the hunt for this, cos I can't find anything as yet LOL

Nothing fancy, just messing around with Iray.

    HDRI - DimensionTheory
Hair - OOT Iray Hair Shaders (rero)
Skin - Daz Uber Rubber Matte (I wouldn't suggest this as a solution but I'm really lazy)
Kitty - PD ..something kit 1. Iray Shader? idk
    Metal - Mec4D vol 1

I think Iray Cookies may need to up the resolution of the meshes, but I couldn't be bothered redoing it. Mostly I just wanted to post a list of elements used because I'd never done it before~

I have Chip, Chip Dough, Spare Ribs, and about a billion hairs and other things scurrying around my wishlist waiting for the next Cookie sale now. I was vaguely thinking of using the Critters as a cute superhero kind of thing so I wanted the skeleton for a baddie but ugh so many parts needed, so little wallet. I want a billion cute animals like the tiger too >.> Uh, I'm not really sure what the point of this is other than "Cookie stuff I like them"

Don't forget there's a critters bundle~ (yeah right as if the Kerya index doesn't know this)

OK. He can't be PM'ed here? BTW, what does "not safe for work" mean?

Of course he can be PMed here.   Not safe for work means contains nudity, violence or profanity.

    In Zilver's case nudity ...

As for PMing - it might work too, but his latest message here is from April: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/1073561/#Comment_1073561
