Quite a freindlier alien environment!  Warm breeze blowing; bright and colorful surroundings; vegetation reacts to the wind, changes color sometimes, makes musical tones that carry on the wind.  The whole world is alive with color and sound.  Insects fly by with exaggerated sound, like that of a buzz saw, yet with a musical ringing.  Fascinating, relaxing, hypnotic.

...forums' slow today.  Thor's-day blahs? Today was dreary and rainy most of the day.

Need something to jumpstart my muse.  Haven't done much 3D work in a while. Out of touch with contests here and elsewhere which normally would have given me some bit of initiative.  Haven't entered an RRRR challenge in months, No longer in the PC, rarely on Fantasy Attic anymore. Crikey, haven't even updated my DA gallery since early (nothing new to post).

Need more memory and a beefier GPU to do the finishing touches to the RR station scene (takes between ten and fifteen minutes to load, is extremely sluggish in OpenGL mode and takes about forty minutes just to perform the preliminary calculations before actual rendering begins). I'm beginning to  hate the fact I have visions of scenes that are bigger than my system can handle. Feeling like I need a heftier system all around but the only way that will happen is some kind of windfall. The good, yet sad part, Nvidia recently upgraded the memory of their Quadro M6000 to 24 GB while keeping the price the same.  Yeah that's as much memory as the MB on my current system would support. Never have to worry about a render job dropping from V-RAM again. Wouldn't be as fast as duo Titan-Xs or 980-TIs, but geez, 24 GB, in a single GPU, designed specifically for this kind of work.

I started out wanting something lighter, but.. well, my Muse is in a dark and evil mood, soooooooooooooo, this is what I get. indecision

Some day I'll do somethiung loud and annoying and you can blow your room-mate out the window! devil

I made an atonal ringtone for my phone to get back at all of the people with musical tones. It is loud and designed to be annoying. I'm also known to yell across a restaurant, "Hey, babe, speak softly. No one wants to hear about your love life, it's not that interesting!"

I've actually had an entire restaraunt applaud...

Woah, extra ponts for you!! laugh

Yep, made 57, might manage to reach 60, lolol!!!

And for my 57th. birthday I release a new track, "Dark Night Of The Soul":

    https://soundcloud.com/synthetic_aurality/dark-night-of-the-soul

Around 12 minutes or so long, longest single track I ever composed, and my keyboard controller died towards the end so I had to finish  it upby placing notes with the mouse. indecision Can't afford  a new controller until I find work, so I'll be rolling tje rodent to create any new music...

Autumn is kinda weird here because it is often warm and we get huge storms from colliding hot air off the desert and cold air off the south pole, not called the shipwreck coast for nothing :)

Must be tough living on the bottom of the world a day behind and still getting last year's weather d:  Winter iz coming here, or rather it arrived uninvited with thunder and lightning in tow.  We still got some strawberries growing so it won't be too miserable we hopes  :)
