Bridge XT2 renders beautifully right out of the box.

That looks outstanding Tim, I can tell you that Bridge 12 will render the same way.

Here are some more images from the Bridge 12 set that will be released in the very near future.  here are images of the 4 main textures for the bridge plus there will be a free texture that will be offered after the set is out. This set and all of the others will have the large number of camera positions that were seen in the Poser set.

Ok, so I did a bunch more chopping and editing of the cargo holds in that central hub and got curious and exported the files out from Truespace and into DAZ to make sure I got the sizes right and could keep going the way I have been. The sizes are right but I have mesh errors all over the place (I hadn't optimized it or anything) but with some actual people in the sets along with shuttles, in this case the Defiant shuttle, the Weyland shuttle and the Volga runabout. Where the one character is hovering is in front of where the control room is going to go. The big yellow object is actually the lower part of Deck 2 and this bay resides on Deck 4 according to the Whitefire blueprints.

Another Test. Still seeing some issues I can't figure out how to resolve. But still learning so we'll see.

What you've got so far looks good to me. The shoulder strap looks a little wide, but that should be an easy fix.

Revenge is a dish best served cold. And it's very cold in space.

So thank goodness the Federation provides such nice warm coats!

Hah! All of these have been looking pretty good so far, but I really like the excursion jacket. Very cool.

Thanks!  I did the basic TWOK uniform as a "learning" thing and some things worked, others not so much (you can't see all the problem areas in the posted renders) and I was pretty happy with how it turned out but the coat has really pleased me.

To fill in my Trek uniform gaps, my wishlist includes the following items to work through:

    • "Monster Maroon" uniform top with open flap
    • Field coat from TWOK
    • Field jackets from "The Cage"
    • Women's uniform shirt from "The Cage" with the proper fuffy triangular collar
    • The overshirt the starfleet officer work when talking to Pike in his Orion bar illusion in "The Cage"
    • TMP era uniform for men and women (I know, nobody likes them. But still...)
    • Good TOS romulan uniform

    Whew, that's enough!

Here is a new leaked image of the current project. The Yamato bridge. There are lighting and other updates as you can see. The display panels will now also cover the previously blank top section and there is stair lighting and a recessed panel light where carpet used to be.

What's the word on discount/upgrade for previous buyers of the bridge sets?

Nightwolf, I am just a Beta Tester for the sets. Your best bet is to contact John at VP directly and talk with him.

I wanted to thank you for calling my attention to these. Honestly, I often overlook Vanishing Point stuff because they seem to be low-poly with textures I don't enjoy and for poser only. But this converted bridge looks to be none of those things. (And it is possible Vanishing Point has improved over time and I may need to give them another look.)

You are welcome, VP is worth looking into again. A lot of stuff is being updated and reworked to work with Studio. I know I will be beta testing all of the Star Trek Sets as well as the Star Wars sets as they are converted to work in Studio. All of the doors will work no more stretching doors.

Thought I would drop in with a juicy little bit of info. As most of you know the Star Trek Bridge sets we all know and love are getting updated to work in Studio and getting iray shaders.

Just spotted the new ones up at Renderosity. I want more $$$ so I can spend it...

Will this updating cover just the bridges, or all the "Trek-like" sets, including Engineering, Shuttlebays, etc? I don't have all of them (yet; see above about $$$ and lack thereof) but I've got most of the earlier ones.
