    Ryanair of Ireland even toyed with the idea of using full standing seats that were nothing more than vertical backboards with dual belts to hold you in.  This is the same airline that also considered installing pay loos on their planes.

    Pretty soon taking the bus may seem a better more comfortable option for overland trips.  Overseas, well guess you'll have to take your chances.

    Well, the "it's goig to rain all week" never happened, so it was hot and humid this morning.. supposed to be warm and dry now.  Weather, sheesh!

    MAJOR milestone today: I walked all the way up to the near bus stop!!! laughsurpriseThis means I can now get around without needing a cab to go everywhere, which is a huge financial load off me. It also means I reached the little food mart on the corner and could thus get coffee, deodorant, and diet soda withut paying a delivery fee and tip - another thorin in my side.  The liquor store is right next door, so now good potato wodka is less of a hssel to get.

    Also managing to get to/from the bathroom at home withut the scooter OR the walking boot, as the muscles in the left leg get used to the new arrangement I find that all I need is the cane, nothing fancy.  Stupid sounding but important.

    Lots of phone calls and email, but no real action yet.  It's barely been 10 days, I'm not expecting to find a job right  away.

    ..sounds like life is getting back to normal (well whatever "normal" means).  Ahh potato wodka, always a good remedy.  Need to get another bottle myself soon.

    Confirmed an appointment for next Tuesday with an attorney to press the next stage of my disability appeal.  This fellow is well known for getting other people's cases pushed through after multiple denials and comes with good recommendations.

    Once approved it would bump me up the list for HUD eligibility which means rent being no more than 31% of my benefits.

    There's no such warning.  If you're talking about the line that says install with DIM, it can also be installed manually.

     

    cannae they change that on the product page to avoid confusion?  
    it gives the warning, and it says ds4.9  - there is no indication mike7 works in ds4.8 via manual d/l

    ..summer's back.  87º right now in the 'hood with the warmest part of the day still to come.  Extended forecast shows 90º on Friday. Meanwhile in Stevens Point WI going to get down to freezing Friday night with a high only in the upper 40s on Saturday.

    ...rude awakening this morning.  They are doing renovations on the house next door.  Brought in one of those treaded bobcat skip loaders, and every time it goes past the side of our house, it feels like a mini earthquake.  To top it off someone was using a Chainsaw there early in the morning as well. As if the noise wasn't bad enough the exhaust fumes were wafting inside through my open window.  Gads, I hate two stroke engines, noisy and smelly.

    I've been listening to them.  Just very distracted lately.  The last one gave me the imagery of a couple of space explorers going through a derelict ship, getting closer to the power center, not knowing what is around the next corner or through the next portal.  This one was a little bit similar, but can't put my finger on it.

    I'm not sure what happened but I can no longer open Adobe PDF documents by double-clicking their icons in Windows 8.  Now I need to figure out how to associate the PDF with the appropriate reader.  I have some 3D graphic manuals in PDF that I want to read.

    I usually right-click > open with > click program. there should be a check box saying "always use this program".
