    complaint - all the stuff in store says compat with ds4.9,  no way to know if it's compat with ds4.8

    Well, the "it's goig to rain all week" never happened, so it was hot and humid this morning.. supposed to be warm and dry now.  Weather, sheesh!

    MAJOR milestone today: I walked all the way up to the near bus stop!!! laughsurpriseThis means I can now get around without needing a cab to go everywhere, which is a huge financial load off me. It also means I reached the little food mart on the corner and could thus get coffee, deodorant, and diet soda withut paying a delivery fee and tip - another thorin in my side.  The liquor store is right next door, so now good potato wodka is less of a hssel to get.

    Also managing to get to/from the bathroom at home withut the scooter OR the walking boot, as the muscles in the left leg get used to the new arrangement I find that all I need is the cane, nothing fancy.  Stupid sounding but important.

    Lots of phone calls and email, but no real action yet.  It's barely been 10 days, I'm not expecting to find a job right  away.

    I've got Mike 7. I'm not using connect. Just because a product is available by connect doesn't mean you can't still get it through DIM or manual DL.

    Stupid computer said os is unmountable but did a bsod when trying to reinstall os.

    I thought she would trust you.  I was wrong.  The info is all there, plain to see.  With the exception of the software compatibility...it really should tell the minimum software version that it will work with, not the most current version that exists!  This question comes up a lot, I see it all over the place.  It should be addressed.

    Regarding older versions of DAZ Studio.  I envision a small waddle of penguins looking at us waving their arms in circles and saying "You didn't see anything.  They don't exist".

    It's like working in the government or large corporations. The obvious solutions would make too much sense and would probably upset someone's job description.  So, in typical bureaucratic fashion, the approved policy is to make no change.

    If I had to guess, I would theorize that they get a lot more support tickets from newbies who want to know if something will work in a newer version than they do from oldies who want to know if it works in an earlier version.

    Why is it that bed time comes too soon when I am trying to figure out stuff on the computer?   oh wait bed time is too early in this house so we can wake up at six am.   Why six am?  no clue!  if I need to be up at six pm  I  need to be in bed by nine thirty to be asleep by ten pm to get eight hours of sleep.  That means I have an hour and a half to play with ubuntu until tomorrow after work.
