I didn't get the secret Connect discount (one would assume you'd need to have installed a Connect product.)
It was updated awhile ago, but the prices aren't in yet.
I don't understand any of the featured new PC+/deepfreeze stuff. Obviously it's for older figures and things, but none of them say what or what is required or anything.

I've got the orange bar. I think it's nice, but didn't we already get a thank you for DAZ Connect a while ago with a 10 dollars coupon of DO's? Looks like they're really happy if people use DAZ Connect, which means there are probably not so many users this far.

Ack! I used mine last night for a few items, and never even thought of doing the gift certificate thing! I'm such a dork.
The funny thing is that the only reason I had used connect recently was because of renomista asking about a portal object that seemed expensive. When I tried opening it, connect wanted to "connect" so that it could download DS specific stuff (I guess I had never installed the DS parts...purchased back when I only used poser). Thanks for the discount, Renomista! ;)

Hmmm, the Karth sale - where you buy one of the "featured pc items" and then can get 70% off "Karth's Catalogue" - can anyone who's doing this confirm that the 70% off only works on NON-new to the store items? Tried it on one of the Star items but it went into cart at full price.

Now sure, when keen DAZ customer interacts with DAZ time, one year effectively becomes infinity. But I thought I'd best point out that it will eventually expire, and then your money will belong to them with you having nada instead of fun things.
That may be true, but I'm not sure one logically follows from the other. If they want their customers to be using Connect, special offers that are only visible to those already using it are possibly not the most effective strategy.

Gift cards expire, yes, but if you redeem the gift card and turn it into Store Credit, that doesn't expire.
Yes. "New" items that are also PC+ items get 70% off (ends up at $0.45). However, "new" items that are not PC+ stay at 30% off.

AH! thank you, that was what I wanted confirmed. The ad doesn't state anything at all about "excluding new releases", so I was wondering why the Star items in Karth's catalogue weren't discounting.
From Daz's point of view, if the promotion reels in people who aren't using connect then it's obviously a bonus, but if it's a reflection of the people who are using it then they could well be in the majority. After squeeezing wallets dry by dragging a month-long sale out for six weeks, the main purpose of a 'twenty percent off sale' is probably to snaffle eighty percent of the money that people weren't planning on spending! I just can't picture Daz aiming that at a minority.
I've come to realise that there is no such thing as an offer that won't be repeated with Daz. I've only got to look for confirmation at all the empty space in flash sales, 'fast grab' and 'freebies' where items I own would be showing if I hadn't bought them the last time there was an 'unrepeatable' offer!
I almost spent my coupon yesterday, then realised that I was only shopping for things because of the offer, and that sooner or later the items I was about to buy for twenty percent off would inevitably show up on sale with a much more attractive reduction. Would I rather save twenty percent on a pile of polygons I've no immediate need for, or keep 100 percent of the cash? Hmm :) Well, I thought, there are things coming up that I know I'll be buying - Mec4Ds next bunches of shaders for starters. What about buying a nice big gift certificate? Put my money in Daz's pocket where it is no longer available to me in an emergency and let them earn the interest on it? Spend it with Daz, while not adding a single thing I can use to my runtime? Hmm :)
I realise that there are people who haven't amassed much stuff yet who could benefit from the offer, but I expect there are also a lot of people out there with runtimes straining with stuff after six weeks of 'unrepeatable' offers who are saying 'Ooh - twenty percent off stuff I don't really need and wasn't going to buy! Let's shop!' :)

M4 & V5 seems like an unusual pairing to release together (the UV sets for G3) ...also, wasn't there something like that already out? I remember people talking about it but never looked it up myself.
I was careful to not buy too many DAZ Originals during March Madness because I knew something like this would happen eventually. I didn't expect it within a week, though, LOL.
One thing's for sure, even with sales it only pays to buy things when you need them. If you just want to collect, they'll be on sale for 90% off eventually.
I finally got V4 and M4 Pro (Hero Pack for 17 bucks Each) (had this on my list for a long time)
And I snatched a G2M Pro Pack to finally make G2M Anatomically complete....
And lots of Hair for under 2$ Each

Yup. I picked up important purchases I actually needed and I'm happy with the prices I got them at - but I'm still sad that I can't afford to get in on this sale now. I wasn't expecting something this big for at least a month or so.
I still feel like you'd make more money if you actually warned people about a sale rather than springing it in one day only at the end of a huge different sale to try and wring those last few pennies from impulse buyers.

man, i must be blind in these sales - either that, or I have all the hairs already. I can't find any hairs under that price!
Have a look in the 90% off Classical Items and 80% Of Genesis. There is quite some hair inbetween. You only see the Price in the Cart and need to add on "New" Item too.
Most of what I bought was below 90 % or very close to it.
