...speaking of taxes, today is also T-Day. If you haven't filed yet, only hours remain. (less than 7 on the East Coast and 10 on the West Coast).

...ahh, one oif the small niceties of being retired even if the pay isn't that great.

Yeah, I know. smiley  Every year I look at my income reports from various miscellaneous sources and worry that perhaps I have to file taxes this year because I exceeded some limit.  So I call my friendly accountant lady and describe the few incomes and ask "Do I need to file" and usually she says "No." and that makes me very happy because #1 I don't have to file and #2 she doesn't charge me for the service.  However, year before last I did have to file because I'd received a small but significant inheritance from my stepmother's estate.  Federal guys didn't want my paperwork but NYS made me file their paperwork which happily bottom lined at $0.00 so I was happy that I didn't have to pay any tax.  NYS was happy because they got their paperwork.  The Feds were happy because they didn't have to deal with any paperwork from me.  My accountant lady was happy because I paid her $50.  And I was extra happy because I didn't have to strain my brain finding all the forms and worrying if I filled them out correctly.  It's a good thing when tax season is a happy time. laugh

...hmm Daz seems to be wondering where I've been. I keep getting this banner for 10$ off any "DazzyO's".

Haven't made a "purchase" since the last couple weeks of February as I've been too broke and that was when my PC membership expired.

    razzle dazzle coupies smiley

...meh, turns out I must make a minimum non-Daz O purchase of 3$ (never seen any PA stuff that cheap) to get the 10$. So much for that.

    the fine print

is adding chocolate chips to brownie batter too much chocolate?

They have brownies with chocolate chips in them at Papa Gino's and they seem to be popular.  They also have Blondies with the chips in them.  I actually like those better.

Morning. Warm day here under a luminous silvery grey overcast heading inland before a stiff breeze, perhaps to somewhere just a little bit safer than the Pacific Rim right now, two huge quakes in Japan have rattled things around a bit :)

There is no such thing as too much chocolate.  However, if you get sick blame it on the sugar.

+1 for chacolate and blaming :)

Nope, deadline is the 18th this year.  And you can bet that people will wait until the last minute even though they had extra time!

Yeah, I don't get it either.  No matter, my taxes were done in February, and I got two of the three deposits in less than a week.  I don't like to push it to the last minute.

    ...early Caturday morning complaint.

Converter brick on the notebook began going flaky again. Cut out right while I was in the middle of something and then kept crapping out during successive restarts.

Finally got the system running again after about twenty minutes only to have Firefox start giving me grief by indicating I had no connection when the system said I did (als checked the physical connection and it was fine). Closed out FF and restarted only to have it stall out requiring me to kill the process in task manager.  When I finally got it to open up, I lost all the tabs I had opened (save for the two default ones) and place mark I was at on one site.

Also took more than a half dozen clicks to get the stupid spell checker to work again.

Massive house clearance continues... the main bedroom got blitzed briefly this afternoon so that we had space to do the spare bedroom, and now that one is being attacked at a fair old rate of knots.... piles of boxes everywhere for stuff to go on ebay and the like, and we've still got to move it all back in yet!

Moving from an 8 room ( 3 bed, 2 bathroom, utility room, 2 living rooms and kitchen) house to a small 2 bed cottage helped us with a blitz a few years back.

    Complaint:

It's a beautiful day today.  Almost 70F, clear blue sky, light breeze, Saturday.  I want to go for a long car ride involving shopping and meals this weekend but I have an empty tank and only $2 in my wallet and have already overspent my CC budget for the month. sad  No financial relief until next Wednesday.  Guess it's soup and sandwiches and hobbling to the post offfice for entertainment.
