n.b. I had to do some serious color correction on this bad boy, and rescaling is what really cleaned the image up.  I do wish I had a good set of lights for the coffeeshop...

Did you try using one of the included ready to render scenes? They include lighting and render settings.

I tried it; the scene is actually from their 'ready to render' full scene, but the lights didn't work at all, and I had to delete them and create new ones.

That said, I am remembering that I set up George first, and had to 'merge' the scene onto him, otherwise it would have deleted everything I'd set up.  It's possible that 'merge' behaves differently than loading it as a scene first, but it seems weird that it would have broken the lights...

    Think that's what happened?

    --  Morgan

Yes, with the merge, I don't think you will get the render settings. I think if you had saved your George scene and then opened the ready to render scene and merged George into it, your results would have been different.

Even Better Save George with Hair and Clothing as Scene Subset

Load Ready to render scene, Load Scene Subset, Position, Render....

If it is still to grainy I would start to play with the exposure settings in Tone Mapping

Does the George HD option require one of the HD add ons for the G3Male?

Well I caved in even though I really didn't need another male figure, but it gave me an added discount on a purchase and I wanted to support a new vendor. I had to install genesis 3 male also since i had no use for him till George, LOL.I really wish there were seperate body and head morphs, but oh well, nice character nonetheless.

Here is a quick render of George the roadie guarding the backstage entrance, LOL

I made a first attempt at using George to create the Baron Vladimir Harkonnen from Frank Herbert's "Dune".

That's a terrific pic, very well done! I see multiple minds have been running in the same channel: There's at least one other Harkonnen render in the galleries. For my part, as soon as I laid eyes on him in the store, my mind immediately started ruffling through its runtime rolodex going "OK, who's going to be Feyd? And I need a  big ugly ultra-steampunk room..."

Did you actually get an update? I don't see one in Daz Connect or DIM.

Edit: I see the readme says: 2016-04-13 - Corrected wrong uv references.

The DIM does have a package with that date for George, but I installed with Daz Connect, and it doesn't show any update available. sad

Fantastic pics! Love all the ways George is showing up! Keep them coming!

I discovered that I can do Iray on my computer! I'm not very good at it yet, but here's a rough draft I'm working on, It's called "Feeling Sluggish".

Poor Sheriff George. Recent budget cuts have forced him to find alternative modes of transportation!

I used Iray Skydome, Cowboy outfit for Gen 3 (not a bad fit on George, had to resize the hat), and the free RDNA Battle Slug, from here: http://www.runtimedna.com/newsletter/SlugFreebies.zip

Now I need to sort out lighting and the slug textures lol

Absolutely love this one. It's almost enough to convince me that I need George after all! :)

And because I can't leave it alone, here's another image of the wicked Baron Vladimir, this time accompanied by his equally depraved nephew as well as his mentat.

Bytescapes: Huh. He looks like a very large Steve Pemberton in that shot.

    Will-It's a Battle Slug!

Angelreaper- I do, and if you like them, I'll be happy to make some more. That one above needs some work, but it's all good practice!

PS. I think we should rename this thread to "For the Love of George"

    Hello, lovely Lady!

This is George. Good, old George. He is just taking a break and watching the antics of the drone, then he sees her walking over the maintenance bridge. The lady has style - colouring her hair matching her suit - and a nice, loose gait. Well, trying doesn't hurt - much, anyway.
    "Hello lovely Lady!"

This is Opal. Opal is an engineer. She is tough, can swear with the best and she has a sense of humour. Coming from a tedious job she is walking over the maintenance bridge.
    "Hello lovely Lady!"

Well, that's not much of a line, and he could loose some pounds, but he has a good face.
    Opal is interested ...

I really think George is one of the best figures for G3M I've seen. I am absolutely in love with him. He should have been an iconic G3M DAZ figure, what a blast that would have been.

Playing with Smay's new Short Simple Hair for G3M and I just had to use George for it. Plus Colm's Monochrome lighting.

Jakiblue, that's just beautiful. Smay's hair looks perfect on him. I'll get George at some point. I wanted him on his release day, but couldn't get him. He's an incredible looking figure, but I have yet to dabble with the G3 stuff. He'll probably be my first G3 figure though.

I'd really like to see some Baron Harkonnen gear for this guy!

I Honestly can't wait to see what this PA comes up with next.  George is among one of the most distinctive characters in the Daz catalog.

Addendum;  I didn't see Bytescapes render up above.  Honestly The Baron was the first thing I thought of when I first saw the figure, that or a Roman Emperor.  Good work.  I might start working on a Dune inspired series now that George is here.
