    Bored, bored, boooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeedddddddddd. indecision

Reading lots of other peoples code, trying to determine what bits actually do something meaningful and what is Windows or UI specific, basically reverse engineering a working system because all the other engineers are too busy to work on documenting what they wrote, so why not hire a guy that knows nothing abiout the system to figure it all out and document it? Tell him he'll be programming, give him a short assignment writing code, then hit him with a writing project!  Perfect! angry

Already complained to the placement agency.. I'm going to stop buying stuff and shove every spare penny into savings so I can weather a long-ish job search and find something hopefully "permanent" (not a contract, a direct hire) this time around, and not a bloody stupid "diagrams, spreadsheets, and Word documents" job.

    Hate hate hate. angry

...why I bailed out of programming as none of the young bucks in the field ever bothered with documentation.

If I can find a new career that pays enough for a quiet place to compose and write, and feed me, and enough for a few beers - I'm out of the softwae biz. angry

..ahh, another nice day again.  Sat in the sun all afternoon, felt like the cat in a window. Didn't get home until almost 23:00.

Allergies are going nuts, but an OK tradeoff for my joints and bones feeling so much better.

On my Thursday shopping trip, came across Bush brand Asian Seasoned beans made with special spices and ginger.  So picked up a couple cans, bought some all natural, Nitrate free hot doggies (no mechanically separated anything either), marinated them in Teriyaki sauce and after cooking them used sweet chili sauce instead of mustard or ketchup.  Incredibly tasty.  Think I might be on to something.

    Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!! laugh

Embarrassingly late to work today. Second time I've overslept in 10 years. I hate doing it, and it leaves me feeling all washed out and space-caked all day long.

Need a quick and easy way to make lots of money to spend in the store. Want more toys!

    Busy Monday.

Successful meeting, despite hating the job apparently I'm pretty good at it. indecision Go figure. frown

Need to join the Austin Film Society to see if I can get some (unpaid) film audio work, either soundtrack, incidental/additional music, or sound effects/Foley.  Wen breaking in, you have to bite the bullet and be willing to do anything.  Le sigh. indecision

I need an audio-oriented website that's not just a blog, now.  I have enough portfolio and published music to make it kind of worthwhile.  Ugh, more work.. indecision well, that's how being self-employed is, actually. indecision

Allo this just to change careers.  Oh well, grab some coffee and get my rattle in gear! laugh

Oh damn, one late night when I lived in California, they showed a desert snake attack movie, wish I could remember the name.. weren't giant radioactive ones, just cheap rubber snakes on srings you could pretty easily see.

    ..and there's always.. SNAKES ON A TRAIN!!! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0843873/ (a truly so-bad-it's-funny movie).

...barely 60º here today. Where did my nice spring weather go?

Guess it's better than Milwaukee WI right now where it's 30º and snowing.

Yeah, I was hoping that I could wear my new dresses outside.  Its too cold for me to wear my dresses.  I bought one of those dresses that have straps and exposes my shoulders.  Also, the hemline stops above my knees.  I need to find some matching shoes or wedge sandals.  I think the Daz Store has some in stock. lol
