Hmm, so she looks a little "off color" so to speak. Maybe they were trying to make her look sligtly different because of the Fae side, I don't know.
She's slightly darker, though that could be her intended colour or a side effect of the new material method.
I'd be interested in seeing the same comparison in 4.9 with 4.9 materials (since she was obviously designed for 4.9 and legacy mats will probably be less accurate to intended) but I don't want to install 4.9 just to test that.
I like her. She has a facial bone structure that I think is common in ladies.
I think if there is a "Izabello" he shoud be called Isidor ;-)
I really don't see any lacking quality in the promo renders so I can't tell if there's something wrong with her and I'm still tempted to get her but....I don't know....Giselle just did it better.
Partly she is even more extreme than TJ7; I don't tend to use supplied morphs, except in small amounts, but even a very tiny amount made the character unbelievable; what is it about Daz that the Teen models look weird in G3 - at least so far. I look at that and I think humanoid not human. And creepy - I'd expect to see her(it?) slaughtering folks in a horror or scifi film.
For me, the skins were just more of what I have, and the shape was totally unusable for me, which is why I returned the Pro bundle - even though with all the discounts it was great value - or should have been. I might get one or two of the other figures in the future. I'm not faulting the quality, only the sameness.
Olimpia might be my favourite so far, although a couple of the others I like too.
It's a shame as I really liked that Izabella 7 was default UVs.
I too just realized they describe her as a teen figure.
This is no teen, this is a fairy. No human teen looks like this : )
Olympia 7 is my absolute fave of the 7 line (Monique is my fave in the 6). She's stunning, and perfect.
I don't have an issue with Izabella's shape - it was just her skin settings that I can't warm to.
There is a lot of weird stuff going on with the surface settings and one thing is flat out wrong. The Top Coat bump channel is using what appears to be normal maps and yet is set to height map. I am seriously thinking of asking for refund of the Pro bundle as the one outfit I was really interested in, The Mystery Solver, the sweater goes horribly wrong on any shape that is not thin and flat chested.
Basically all of the Genesis 3 models have had a setting or two wrong in one way or another. It's not that hard to change one thing (or to adjust skin tone to one's liking.) Certainly not something I'd return something over when I got it at such a massive discount when a fix is so simple (and likely to be issued by Daz.)
How so? I'm not noticing anything other than some of the usual clinging when the breasts are really large.
Izabella in 4.8 (legacy mats) with the Top Coat Bump mode switched to normals to match the normal map. It makes so little difference to me but I guess the super close up details are a tiny bit better now.
Nobody else is seeing this sharp fold under the breast?. I have to turn Smoothing Iterations up to 20 to start to get rid of it.
Screenshot with the top on Olympia (who has large breasts.)
However if you morph the breasts to be huge via individual morph items then there is no adjustment to compensate (making it glue to the undersides of the breasts.)
Check the normal map on Olympia, it might be affecting them. The map might have a lot of geom there; iirc it does.
Maybe she's a fairy teen... :)
No such thing really.
Then again, the term teenager came into existance middle of last century.
There's no such thing as a fairy teen, but a fairy..?
It's probably to ward off the "where are her Anatomical Elements" question that people ask about Giselle all the time. Might also explain why her head is so big (too big to be paired with other characters rather than too big for her) if she was meant to be a lot smaller in scale overall.
Her head doesn't bother me, but her body just seems a bit too thin. I get that being so thin fits some depictions of fairies, but she just seems almost painfully skinny.
As for the sweater, it's not the only G3F top that gets that deformation. Pretty much seems like the only way to avoid it is with something like Fit Control.
Her build looks fine to me; she's not even too thin for humans, let alone a fantastical creature.
When I say her head is too big I don't mean for preference or impression: it physically oversizes other Genesis 3 character heads by a considerable margin (younger characters have a larger head to body ratio, but they don't have noticably larger heads than adults.)
There is a morph to control head size, so it is not hard to dial it smaller if one desires
Obviously it can be easily fixed (so can the skin issues and preferences) either by scaling the head down or the entire model to match other character heads.
I'm suggesting a reason why people may have issues with the shape, not saying it's a problem with no solution.
I think her skin looks cleaner and more advanced than previous skins and although she is wearing a Velma costume her face is more in line with Daffny not Velma despite the coloring.
Overall am am not sure whether to buy this character as a Pro Bundle or Teen Josie 7 Pro Bundle. I guess it doesn't really matter which since I missed out on all the stacking discounts by not buying the Girl 7 Pro Bundle. I'll have to remember that next time one of these sales comes up.
Definitely; I took advantage of today's sale offer and got Izabella along with Olympia 7, and the head size difference is striking. I had to dial the Head Proportional Size way down from +2.5% to -10% before it looked right beside Olympia. A little bit of the Youth Morph from Zev0's Growing Up helped with the general body proportions.
Incidentally, I first tried a test render with both figures side by side, both using the Legacy Iray MAT and the default Iray environment light; Olympia came out looking good, but Izabella had a very greenish-yellowish tint to just her face. I'm running another test render just now with just Izabella, and so far the face looks right. Maybe a one-off glitch?
And as others have said, the Top Coat Bump Mode setting is definitely wrong — I switched them all to Normal, and a head and shoulders closeup really shows the fine skin structure and specularity. I just wish the base texture's eyebrows weren't quite so sharp-edged, heavy and dark.
No Isabello today...
1. I would be Isidor for sure....
2. This MM Wednesday is the "DAZ Originals" day. So if he comes out, it would be tomorrow and not today
Fairies never get a male counterpart : (
Don't ever remember male fairies from mythology. Hence my comment above of their being no such thing as a teen fairy.
IIRC, Fairies and some other types come into existance with whatever object they are associated with. This is what happens with personifiying something; it isn't human so don't try and make it so it is.
Isn't that what Peter Pan is?
No. He was just raised by faries.
