I've been playing video games since "Lode Runner" on a c64,  I still have my Sega Genesis which includes cartridges for Sonic and Earthworm Jim. Have all the playstation consoles with atleast 100 titles for PS3,   as well as the Gamecube and Wii consoles.

I had to login just to comment.  I'm normally a lurker lol but come out occassionally.   Commodore Vic 20 was my first computer.  Pong my first game.  I loved the C64 and Lode Runner.   I miss those days.  I played a lot of Grid Runner also.   Sounds like we have a lot in common in this department.

Been playing games since before Vid games i.e. monopoly, pinochle, chess, etc.   My first vid game was Pong.   Then they added a paddle and called it Tennis lol.  Yeah I go back that far.  Branched out into the Commoder line of computers and had an Atari 2600.   Those were the days.

These days I don't have alot of time.  I work pretty much 7 days a week.  Hoping it will drop down soon.   When I get a chance I play:

Eve, WoW, Elder Scrolls online, SWTOR, LOTRO (Funny because I'm not really social).   I like Skyrim, Fallout, mainly open world games.  I'm the world's biggest carebear so I like adventure and exploring.   Space games rain surpreme but harder to come by but they are making a comeback.

Looking forward to No Man's Sky.  I'm avoiding the hype, disappointments, whatever of everyone else before I get a chance to look at it.

I've always been a gamer and can't imagine it any other way.  I'll be 90 years old and still playing if I live that long.  LOL.

My first game was Zork (still have it on a floppy disc somewhere).  Followed by Hitchhiker's Guide.  Took a break and eventually moved into the modern age with Ultima III.

For the old arcade hounds amongst us, you can re-live some of it here:  https://archive.org/details/internetarcade

Cool  !  Joust and Defender,   two of my favorite games from my early days.
